Postdoctoral positions for Microbiome Therapeutics Laboratory at Jio Institute, Navi Mumbai, India
Microbiome Therapeutics Laboratory at the Jio Institute, Navi Mumbai is seeking a highly motivated and independent post-doctoral fellow with expertise in the broader fields of Microbiome, Computational biology and Statistical modeling.
The successful candidate will receive a unique learning environment with generous research support and opportunities to work closely with researchers at the Jio Institute, Reliance Industries based research groups and hospitals, and several international and domestic collaborations.
The candidate will initially engage in microbiome modeling and analysis related to Fecal Transplants, microbial transmission and antibiotic resistance, and is then expected to develop their own independent research agenda.
The ideal candidate must have a doctoral degree in Genomics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Biomedical engineering or related fields. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated independence evaluated through published peer-reviewed high impact publications is a must. The candidate should be proficient at programming in Python and R, and have experience with high performance computing. Independent research funding (past and current) is desirable and the PI would work closely with the trainee on external funding applications.
