A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 16th August, 2018 at 11.30 a.m. in the Seminar Room, Bioinformatics Centre, Centenary Campus, Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T. Scheme VII-M, Kolkata – 700 054 for Three (3) post of Studentship / Traineeship in the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bioinformatics Centre at Bose Institute, Kolkata funded by DBT, Government of India. The studentship/traineeship is tenable for six (6) months. Details of qualification, traineeship, age etc. are as follows : Essential Qualification : M.Sc. / M.Tech. degree in any relevant stream of Chemical / Physical / Biological Sciences or Computer Sciences. Students who have completed their final examination and waiting for the award of the degree may also apply. Desirable Qualification : Preliminary knowledge on Biological molecules, e.g. Protein, Nucleic acids, lipids etc. Objective of the training : Giving the students an exposure to Bioinformatics and Computational Biology which would include the training on theoretical principles, hand’s on training regarding computational techniques and preliminary involvement in modern research. Traineeship : Rs.10,000/- p.m. (Consolidated). Age Limit : Below 28 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only, as per rule).
Eligible and Interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee for an interview with a typed application with complete Bio-data in a plain paper addressed to the Acting Registrar, Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T. Scheme VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata – 700054 along with Bio-data giving details of qualification i.e. examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Secondary onwards with attested copies of Certificates, Mark-sheets and testimonials. The Candidates should also bring original mark-sheets, certificates, testimonials at the time of Interview. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing at the Interview. Acting Registrar
