VACANCY DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS, PGIMER, CHANDIGARH Applications are invited for the following post for an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) project entitled “Comparison of the efficacy of a 7 days versus 14 day course of intravenous antibiotics in the treatment of uncomplicated neonatal bacterial sepsis: a randomized controlled non–inferiority trial” under Dr. Sourabh Dutta, Professor, Department of Pediatrics, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The post is purely on contract basis and will be extendable periodically until the project finishes. Scanned soft copies of BSc, MSc, PhD, BDS degrees and experience certificates for research experience must be sent along with the biodata. Bio-data must include email address, personal mobile number and one alternate mobile number. An online written test will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, 26/11/2020. A Google Meet Link for the written test will be sent to all eligible candidates on the evening of 25/11/2020. Candidates can login for the written test from 11:15 AM onwards on 26/11/2020. Kindly log in through Google Chrome, and not Firefox. Test will consist of an essay on a topic, that will be announced at 11:30 AM. Exactly half an hour will be provided for writing the essay in a Word document. It must be converted into PDF and sent to pgisocialworker@gmail.com within 5 minutes after the end of the allotted time for writing the essay. The responsibility of ensuring Internet connectivity, conversion into PDF and emailing it to the correct email address lies entirely with the candidate. Based on the essay, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, and will be informed by email. ONLINE INTERVIEW DATE AND TIME: 3 PM onwards on Friday, 27/11/2020. A Google meet link will be sent by email and WhatsApp to those shortlisted for the interview. Timeslots for the interview will be provided. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview. First class Masters degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university with 4 years research experience, OR 2. 2nd class MSc AND PhD in Life Sciences from a recognized university with 4 years research experience, OR 3. BDS degree recognized by DCI with 5 years research experience Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years. This is an exciting and challenging position that will involve co-ordinating a multi-centric project.
