A. Project Title: 1. Genomics-led improvement of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in mustard rape for economic and environmental sustainability" 2. Project title: A way forward to developing aphid-resistance in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea): Host- and virus-mediated gene silencing of parthenogenetic genes in mustard aphid Name of the Position: Junior Research Fellow No. of Positions: 02(One in each of the above projects) Emoluments (per month): Rs. 31000/- + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35000/- + HRA for 3rd year and onwards Essential qualifications: Master’s degree in Plant Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life science/ Bioinformatics/Basic Biological science/Agriculture or Graduate or Poste Graduate Degree in Professional Courses selected through a process described in SERB Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SB/S9/Z-06/2019 (Dated: 23rdApril, 2019).

Desirable: Working Experience in Molecular Biology Techniques, Bioinformatic tools, prior exposure of working on transcriptomics and gene expression analysis, plant virology Desirable Age Limit: 35 years max. (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and woman candidates as per DBT & SERB rules). The post is purely temporary in nature and is co-terminus with the project.

B. Project Title: Development of haploid inducer line, and enhancement of seed-meal quality in Brassica juncea through CRISPR/Cas mediated genome editing Name of the Position: Laboratory Assistant No. of Positions: 01(one) Emoluments (per month): Rs. 20,000/ + 24% HRA Essential qualifications: B.Sc/3 years diploma in Engineering and Technology Desirable: Experience in laboratory work, field data collection, computer application and data entry The interview will be held on 14th of July, 2020 at 11.00 am in the Lecture Hall no.1 1st Floor, NIPB, LBS Building, Pusa Campus, New Delhi-110012. The candidates must bring original certificates and four copies of Bio-data along with four copies of self -attested documents of all academic qualifications and experience with 4 passport size photographs. No TA/DA would be given for the appearance in interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interviews.
