http://andcollege.du.ac.in VACANCY FOR a PROJECT ASSISTANT (On a temporary basis) Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Project Assistant in ICMR funded Multi-Institution Project “An investigational study on Mycobacteriophages and their enzymes as new drugs (IND) for treating tuberculosis”. No. of position: One Eligibility: M.Sc. Microbiology/Biomedical Science/Life Science/Biotechnology or related fields/ MTech in Biotechnology or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. SC/ST candidates are required to have 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Desirable qualifications: Practical knowledge of basic microbiological techniques, handling of Mycobacterium and bacteriophages, maintaining of microbial culture stocks, recombinant DNA technology, protein purification and basic understanding of bioinformatics tools for genome analysis. NET/GATE qualified candidate will be given preference. Duration: Initially for one year, extendable for up to two more years based on the performance of candidate. Fellowship is co-terminus with the project (October 2022). Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- per month consolidated Age limit: Upper age limit 28 years, relax able for SC/ST/OBC and women candidates as per Government of India rules.
