VACANCY NOTIFICATION The ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology invites applications for the post of Project Scientist – B (Medical / Non – Medical) (Site Coordinator) purely on contract basis at SMS Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur. MEDICAL MBBS degree recognized by MCI with one year research/teaching experience or MD in Microbiology / Preventive & Social Medicine (PSM) / Community Medicine from a recognized University Essential Qualification

Desirable Qualification and Experience

NON MEDICAL 1st Class Master’s degree in Microbiology / Public Health / Epidemiology from a recognized university with 2 years research experience in related field OR nd 2 Class Master’s degree in Microbiology / Public Health / Epidemiology with Ph.D. from a recognized University OR BDS/B.V.Sc. degree with one year research experience in related field 1) PhD in relevant subject 2) Experience of health-related research, including supervision and data collection 3) Knowledge of computer applications/data management 4) Experience in serology and Molecular biology techniques 5) Proficient to read, write and speak in Hindi and English Page 1 of 2

Non-Medical – Rs.48,000/- + HRA per month a) Provide technical and administrative support for planning, implementation and coordination b) Coordinate with the Lead research institute/stakeholders in the implementation of the project c) Supervise data collection/project implementation d) Prepare reports on status of the project implementation e) Organize meetings/workshops/training programs f) Any other work assigned by the Director/PI/Co-PI / Superior officer 6 months

Instructions to the candidates: 1) The application should be as per the prescribed format (Annexure – A).

2) Candidates should enclose photocopies of educational qualification and experience and other testimonials duly self – attested along with filled application.

3) The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application.

4) Experience certificate should clearly state the nature of work during the period of employment.

5) No – Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt. / AB / PSU Servants only).

6) All posts are contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.

7) The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under NIE / ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
