FACULTY POSITIONS The Manipal Centre for Natural Sciences (MCNS) was started in 2011 under the Manipal Advanced Research Group (MARG). The primary aim of MCNS is to nurture fundamental research in the Natural Sciences and grow into a hub of excellence within Manipal Academy of Higher Education. In 2012, the fledgling MCNS came into its own as a Centre of Excellence under Manipal Academy of Higher Education. It is one of the first dedicated “all-research” centres setup within a University. Physics - Nuclear and Atomic physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Theory, Accelerator Physics: Experience: Post-doctoral experience at a national or international institute of repute, an excellent publication record is essential - A minimum of 3 years for Assistant Professor and 6 years (PDF & Assistant Professor) for Associate Professor. Chemistry- Theoretical and computational, geochemistry, analytical and experimental chemistry, radiochemistry: Experience: PhD in Chemistry + minimum of 3 years’ Postdoctoral experience in the relevant area of Chemistry at a national or international institute of repute, an excellent publication record is essential
Earth & Planetary Science - Evolutionary and Developmental Biology, Paleontology, Oceanography, Wildlife biodiversity and conservation, Geology, Early Earth and Planetary science, Quantum biology: Experience: PhD in relevant branch with a minimum of 3 years’ post-doctoral experience at a national or international institute of repute with excellent publication record is essential.
Mathematics: Experience: PhD in pure or applied mathematics (such as non-linear dynamics, foundations of quantum mechanics) with a minimum of 3 years’ post-doctoral experience at a national or international institute of repute with an excellent publication record is essential.
Computational sciences, quantum computing, cryptography: Experience: PhD in relevant branch with a minimum of 3 years’ post-doctoral experience at an institute of repute with excellent publication record is essential.
