WALK-IN-WRITTEN TEST/INTERVIEW The following posts are to be filled purely on temporary basis from willing eligible candidates for the ad-hoc research project titled “Impact Evaluation of Antiretroviral Therapy (IE-ART) under NACO” implemented by this institute.

Junior Medical Officer (Consultant – Medical) ART Centres in Karnataka and/or Kerala (ART centres are yet to be decided Note: The candidate is required to work in Karnataka and Kerala at the respective ART Centres as per the directions of Principal Investigator of the project.

1 (One) - SC MBBS degree from a recognized university The candidate should have experience in  Programme/process evaluation and large multicenter biomedical research studies.  HIV and antiretroviral treatment.  Coordination of research activities/field work.

In addition, should have good communication skills with ability to write and speak Kannada and/or Malayalam language Not exceeding 35 years. For SC candidates age relaxation as per GOI norms permissible Consolidated salary Rs. 60,000/- p m Liaison with ARTC, SACS and DAPCU, planning of field activity and deployment of staff and facilitation, monitoring and supervision and training of field staff. Travelling will be required for field data collection.

Will also be involved in Report Writing.

Data Entry Operator (Grade B)

NIRT-Chennai 1 (One) - UR Intermediate or 12th pass in science subjects from a recognized board with DOEACC Á’ level from a recognized institute and/or two years’ experience in EDP work in Govt. or any other recognized organization/institute.

Data entry speed of 15000 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer (please note that selection will be based on qualifying the speed test on computer)

The place of work for the Post of Junior Medical Officer (Slo. No. 1), Project Technical Officer (Sl. No.2) and Project Technical Assistant (Sl. No. 3) will be at ART Centres located in Karnataka and Kerala (places will be selected shortly) The place of work for the post of Data Entry Operator (B) (Sl No. 4), Project Admn Assistant (Sl. No. 5) and Junior Project Assistant (LDC) will be at NIRT, Chetpet, Chennai The candidate(s) being selected for ART Centres in Karnataka/Kerala should be proficient in Kannada and/or Malayalam language (write and speak)

Interested candidates fulfilling the required qualifications may download the prescribed application form from the website www.nirt.res.in and directly report on the date mentioned above at National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, 1 Mayor Sathyamoorthy Road, Chetpet, Chennai 600 031 between 9.00 AM & 10.00 AM to attend the walk-ininterview/written test. They may submit on spot the filled-in application form affixing a passport size colour photograph along with self attested copies of age proof, educational qualifications (from matriculation onwards), certificates of experience related to nature of job, caste certificate (for OBC candidate, creamy layer/non-creamy layer certificate as per Govt of India guidelines) and a fee of Rs.100/- (drawn in favour of Director, NIRT, Chennai) in the shape of demand draft from any Nationalized Bank. The original of the attached documents should also be carried with for the purpose of verification. SC/ST, physically disabled candidates and women candidates are exempted from payment of fees subject to production of valid certificate.
