BTech & MSc Life Sciences Technical Officer (Project) Post

Advt. No. 35/2018/Acad Walk-in-interview for the position of Technical Officer (project) Title of Project: “Understanding the role of Exocyst complex in cell division and development in Caenorhabditis elegans�

Duration: Till May 31, 2019. Extendable further subject to availability of funds and expected extension of project duration, and on the performance of the candidate.

Essential Qualifications: 1) Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences/ related sciences or 2) BPharm/ BTech. Practical experience and knowledge of mammalian cell culture, cell and molecular biology and/or protein biochemical analysis is required.

Desirable Qualifications: Practical knowledge of handling Caenorhabditis elegans in the laboratory and/or experience with high resolution confocal and/or fluorescence microscopy.

NET qualification is desirable.

Principal investigator: Dr. Pushpa Kumari, India Alliance/ DBT-Wellcome Early Career Fellow in the lab of Dr. Sivaram Mylavarapu, Associate Professor.

Salary: Rs. 35,400/- per month consolidated. No other benefits admissible.
