Walk-in-Interview CSIR – North East Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, a constituent establishment of CSIR, is a multidisciplinary institute having research areas like Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Materials Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Geological Sciences, etc. This institute is equipped with sophisticated state-of-art analytical and other equipment to carry out research activities in frontier areas of science & technology. Presently a large number of research activities are being carried out in CSIR and externally funded projects. Now, there is a requirement of a few Project Workers with the following specialization:

Essential Qualification: PhD in Ceramic Technology/ Ceramic Engineering/Materials Science and Engineering/ Chemistry or equivalent. Desirable: Knowledge of Ceramic material processing, clay modification and characterization of ceramic materials with publications in at least 3 SCI Journals [Max Age: 35 yrs]

01 Post with Essential Qualification: PhD in Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Life Science. Desirable: Experience in Stress biotechnology of crop plants, plant genetic engineering, plant tissue culture and transformation, analysis and interpretation of RNA Seq transcriptome data. Essential Qualification: 1 Class MSc / MS in Organic Chemistry Desirable: NET (JRF/LS) / GATE qualified [Max Age: 30 yrs]

Rs. 28000/- for PhD (Thesis Submitted), Rs. 36000/- for PhD and Rs. 38000/- for PhD + two years experience, per month + 8% HRA

Rs. 25000/- per month for NET qualified and Rs. 16000/- + HRA for others

During selection, due weight-age will be given to the academic performance of the candidates. Interested candidates having the above qualifications may like to appear in the Walk-in-Interview as per the scheduled date and time. Candidates are requested to bring with them all ORIGINAL TESTIMONIALS including Marksheets and Certificates and also a Photograph to appear for the interview, failing which there candidature may not be considered. It is co-terminus along with the duration of the project and will not confer any right for regularization in the institute. The JRF / Project Fellow may be allowed to do his/her PhD work based on CSIR guidelines. The candidates should have knowledge of computer for day to day work.
