Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following position. Name of position: Senior Research Fellow (01 position) Project title: INDO-UK collaborative project “The development and implementation of sensors and treatment technologies for freshwater systems in India ". Fellowship: Rs. 35000/- + HRA@16% Eligibility: Candidates must hold a M.Sc. degree with first class in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biological sciences or allied subjects and minimum two years’ research experience and at least two research publication in the peer reviewed journals. Practical knowledge and experiences in Microbial genomics is required. Preference will be given to the candidates having interest in Bioinformatics and computational biology. Age Limit: The upper age limit of the candidate should be below 32 years as on last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules. Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process. Initial appointment will be till 30th Sept, 2021 or until termination of the project whichever is earlier. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding selection of candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 1.
