Postdoctoral Fellow position in Chemical Biology Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellow position in the area of Chemical Biology of Mitochondria in Cancer for a research project funded by Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. Job Description: The candidate will be required to set up multi-step chemical synthesis to develop small molecules as well as nanomaterials. He/she will have to characterize the compounds and materials by multiple spectroscopic and microscopic techniques including NMR, HR-MS, MALDI-TOF, Fluorescence, SEM, AFM and TEM. The candidate will also have to perform cell/tissue culture, cell imaging and molecular biology experiments. The candidate should be highly passionate, motivated and able to work independently. Apart from research, the applicant will be expected to contribute to other academic activities of the Institute. Eligibility: PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology or allied subject areas from reputed institutes with good scientific publication record. Candidates who have submitted their thesis are equally eligible for the position. Duration: Initial appointment is for 1 year, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance.
