University of Delhi Department of Botany Delhi-110007 PROJECT VACANCY UNDER DBT RESEARCH PROJECT Application on plain paper is invited from eligible candidates for One post of JRF and One post of Field Assistant in a Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India sponsored research project and One post of Field Assistant in a SERB, Govt. of India sponsored project. Title of the DBT Project: “A biotechnological approach to elucidate adaptation mechanism, migration pattern and reproductive biology of indicator temperate-alpine plants in Himalayas in response to changing climate” Title of the SERB project: “Development of SNP markers an association mapping for agronomic traits on a core collection of the oilseed crop, Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower)” Eligibility criteria (JRF): Candidates with M.Sc. in Botany/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/Environmental Sciences and other allied subjects with a minimum 55% marks and having NET-JRF/NET (LS) as required by DBT can apply. Candidates clearing their Master’s degree not earlier than 2016 would be given preference. Candidates having field experience in conducting experiments in different areas of Himalayas would be given preference. The study would involve extensive field visits and stay and hence only candidates willing to take up the challenge should apply. Eligibility criteria (Field Assistant): Candidates meeting minimum educational qualification of Matriculate are eligible to apply. Candidates having work experience in laboratories, field and projects would be preferred. Duration of Position: Till the duration of the intended project Fellowship/Stipend: As per revised DST OM NO. SR/S9/Z-8/2018 dated 30.01.2019 meeting required educational qualification and eligibility criteria for JRF and for Field Assitant, the stipend will be fixed as per qualification (Non-matriculate, Matriculate and Graduates) of selected candidate. 1.
