SIKKIM UNIVERSITY (Central University) Department of Microbiology, School of Life Sciences, 6th Mile, Samdur, Tadong 737102, Gangtok, Sikkim Date: 10.08.2018 INTERVIEW Department of Microbiology, School of Life Sciences, Sikkim University is looking for candidates to work in the Department of Biotechnology (Government of India)-funded research project on “DBT-AIST International Centre for Translayional and Environmental Research (DAICENTER)� under Professor Dr. Jyoti Prakash Tamang. Minimum qualification for Junior Research Fellow (2 posts) is M.Sc. with 60 % marks in Microbiology/Food Biotechnology/Food Science from UGC-recognized University with only CSIR/ICAR-JRFNET/GATE qualification. Desirable qualification is experience in food microbiology mostly molecular taxonomy of microorganisms including metagenomics, metabolics and analysis of health-benefits techniques. Fellowship for Junior Research (JRF) is @ Rs. 25,000/- + 10% HRA per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates as per the DBT norm. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The duration of the project is 3 years (2018-21).
