The mission of W. W. Gay is to provide the best service, at the best value, with the best people — every time.
Our Vision
The vision of W. W. Gay is to be a leader in our industry and our community through an unrivaled commitment to our craft and our people.
Message From Our
CEO
Dear W. W. Gay Family,
If the past year has taught us anything, it’s that when we set a goal, we don’t just meet it—we surpass it. As we enter the second year of our strategic plan, I find myself both grateful and energized by what we’ve accomplished together. Our progress has outpaced even our own expectations, and that is a direct result of your dedication and effort.
But growth isn’t just about hitting targets— it’s about mindset. Success isn’t a single achievement; it’s a continuous pursuit. The moment we settle, we stop improving. That’s why I challenge each of you, and myself, to stay hungry for excellence. Seek out ways to do things better. Question inefficiencies. Strive to be the best in every project, every interaction, every challenge we take on.
As professional football coach Vince Lombardi once said, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.” This company was built on a foundation of hard work, skill, and a refusal to accept “good enough.” It’s that spirit that has carried us forward for decades, and it’s what will continue to drive us toward even greater success.
“This company was built on a foundation of hard work, skill, and a refusal to accept “good enough.” ”
As we continue this journey together, remember that every one of us plays a role in shaping W.W. Gay’s future. Whether it’s a new innovation on a project, a moment of leadership in the field, or simply finding a better way to serve our customers, excellence happens one decision at a time.
Let’s also remind ourselves of the importance of working with purpose. What we do has a real impact—on our customers, our communities, and on each other. There’s pride in knowing that our work leaves a lasting legacy. This isn’t just a job; it’s a craft, and every day is an opportunity to do it better than the day before.
Thank you for the passion and commitment you bring to W.W. Gay. I’m proud to lead a team that doesn’t just meet challenges but rises above them. I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish this year because if this past year is any indication, the best is still ahead.
Thank
you for always being the Best in the Business!
Paul

Forging Ahead - The Next Five Years
Over the past several years, we’ve made it a priority to enhance communication, streamline processes, and ensure our employees have the resources they need to succeed. One of the biggest takeaways from our initial employee survey was the need for quick and easy access to important information—resources at your fingertips to help you work more efficiently. Addressing this need became a key initiative within our Strategic Plan, and we’re excited to finally announce the launch of a brand-new intranet portal designed to do just that.
While SharePoint has been our platform for storing documents and information over the years, it hasn’t always been the most user-friendly or well-structured resource for employees. With this new portal, we’ve built upon SharePoint’s foundation but taken it to the next level—creating a far more intuitive and accessible experience. Designed with a user-friendly interface, it functions more like a website, housing essential documents, company updates, forms, and other resources in one centralized location. Whether you need safety policies, HR forms, business processes, benefits information, or training materials, this portal will be your go-to destination.
More than just a collection of documents, this portal is part of a larger effort to create a consistent experience for every employee, ensuring that everyone—regardless of location or role—has access to the same information. Our goal is to equip every employee with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed, and we hope this platform will support you in doing just that. Additionally, the back end of the portal will serve as a central repository, allowing business units to collaborate more effectively. This structure aligns with our organizational framework, making information easier to find and use.
This project has been in development for many months, and while we’re excited about the initial launch, the portal will continue to evolve. The information available on day one won’t be everything—we’ll continuously add new documents, resources, and features to ensure it remains a valuable tool. By putting the information you need right at your fingertips, our goal is to help you work more efficiently and effectively.
Stay tuned for more details on the launch date, along with guidance on how to access and navigate the portal. Your feedback will be invaluable as we refine and expand it. Thank you for your dedication to making W.W. Gay a great place to work—we look forward to providing you with this new tool to stay informed and connected!
Forging Ahead,
Emily Andrews Vice President, Marketing & Community Relations
On The Safe Side
New Year, Safety Goals for all W.W. Gay Employees, as we move forward…..
As 2024 ended, many of us made resolutions to improve our lives. Why should W. W. Gay be any different? Making our workplace New Year’s resolutions is a great way to start the year as we move through 2025. It can help start the new year off on the right foot, providing goals to work on and motivating our employees.
The Benefits of Safety in the Workplace
By us continuing to create a better workplace and safety guidelines can help keep our employees safe and help prevent injuries from happening. Accidents can also cost our businesses valuable time and money. Updating/reviewing our workplace safety policy is not always easy, but it’s worth it. Implementing safety programs can reduce injuries, and workers’ compensation claims, medical expenses, and potentially OSHA fines while also boosting productivity. Employees should always understand that their safety is our W.W. Gay’s #1 priority. y, and our customers. Together, we are
Here are a few examples of New Year’s resolutions for 2025 that can help improve our safety: building a future that is not only
1. Informing and educating our employees by making them aware of the four sorts of hazards: physical, biological, chemical, and ergonomic.
2. Maintaining a clean and well-organized workspace is essential for safety. Cluttered or unclean work conditions can lead to injuries, slips, falls, and increased fire risks.
3. Recommitting our team(s) to daily safety practices. This can include a companywide safety checklist with your top priorities, highly visible safety signage on the shop floors, etc. Anyone can feel free to submit ideas, questions, concerns to me (sray@wwgmc.com) or any of our Safety Specialists.
4. Our goal is to continue to have a reliable return-to-work plan to transition injured workers to meaningful, productive activities as soon as possible. This helps relieve financial stress, shorten recovery time, and reduce workers’ compensation costs.
5. A system evaluation by the manufacturer of our equipment can lead to significant cost savings and improved results for our clients. It involves assessing equipment usage, energy usage, waste reduction, and ways to enhance output and profitability.
6. Continue to establish a zero-tolerance policy for workplace safety, especially in hazardous environments. W.W. Gay should avoid OSHA citations for disregarding common hazards and encourage workers to report any issues, with this encouragement coming from W.W. Gay Supervisors.
7. Prevention is the best treatment for occupational hazards. We need to continue to ensure employees are aware of workplace safety protocols, wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment), and report unsafe situations.
8. Avoid shortcuts in processes and procedures. Continue to maintain accurate records of incidents, including near-miss accidents, to continuously learn and improve systems and procedures.
9. Our Management Team should provide support during times of need and prevent work-life imbalance, as workplace problems can impact mental health and agitation. Prioritize workplace wellness by monitoring workloads and encouraging employees to stay safe and positive and to reach out to their supervisors if they feel the need.
As always, we are available to all employees. If you have any questions or safety-related concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you and stay well,
Steve Ray Director of Safety

Project Spotlight
A huge shoutout to our Central Florida Service Team for their outstanding work!
We’re proud to share that Central Florida has recently partnered with Regions Bank on a state-wide emergency equipment replacement agreement. This collaboration spans all our service territories, and Central Florida has truly set the bar high with their exceptional execution and commitment to success.
One standout example is the newly installed RTU at the Gulf Gate branch in Sarasota, FL. With a sole-source agreement with Trane and seamless coordination alongside the consultant team at HPM, our team has quickly earned the reputation as the goto resource for all service project equipment replacements. This particular installation was skillfully handled by William Nieves (Journeyman) and Jackson Maddox (3rd Year Apprentice) from our Central Florida Service Team. Your hard work, expertise, and dedication have made us all incredibly proud!
Thank you, William and Jackson, for representing our team so well, and here’s to building on our strong relationship with Regions Bank through many more successful projects in the future!

W. W. Gay is honored to partner with Dreams Come True, a nonprofit that fulfills dreams for children battling life-threatening illnesses. Last month, our Jacksonville office came together to celebrate Alana, a courageous 9-year-old fighting leukemia, with a special party revealing her dream trip to the Poconos and New York City where she’ll see snow for the very first time! Her excitement was truly heartwarming. Alana and her family enjoyed the winter wonderland party with hot chocolate, sweet treats, and an outpouring of love from our team.
Thanks to the generosity from our employees, we raised $6,000 to make this dream a reality. Seeing Alana’s joy was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make together. Thank you to everyone who contributed, this wouldn’t have been possible without you!

Matthew Gregory John Rabon
Congratulations to John Rabon on his well-earned promotion from the Service Department to Account Manager in the Jacksonville office!
John’s career journey began in the welding industry, where he specialized in fabricating arm gates for railroad tracks. When the company closed its doors, fate had other plans—his wife brought home a flyer from Local 234, setting him on a new path with W. W. Gay. From his early days in the Fab Shop with Mudfish to transitioning into the Plumbing Fab Shop and later excelling in the Service Department, John has gained invaluable experience across multiple areas of the company.
Recognizing his leadership potential and technical expertise, Ronnie Creel saw something special in John. His hard work and dedication recently earned him a promotion from service truck work to an Account Manager role in the office.
In his new position, John plays a crucial role in managing large-scale projects under Wes Shaver’s leadership. His extensive field experience provides him with a unique perspective on job management, allowing him to oversee change orders, bids, and labor estimates with precision. Some of the major projects he now manages include FSCJ Kent’s heating and water systems and various JEA jobs.
For John, the thrill of securing bids and executing quality jobs fuels his passion for the industry. He enjoys expanding his knowledge on the account management side of operations and takes great pride in contributing to the company’s ongoing success.
Outside of work, John is a devoted family man. He stays busy supporting his 10-year-old son, who travels for baseball, and keeping up with his energetic 3-year-old daughter. A lover of the outdoors, he also enjoys hunting and spending quality time with his large family.
We are proud to have John Rabon as a valued member of the W. W. Gay team. His dedication and hard work continue to inspire those around him, and we look forward to seeing him thrive in his new role.

In The Spotlight
Jake Whitener
Preconstruction Manager
Orlando, FL
At W. W. Gay, we take pride in the incredible team members who make our company a success. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Jake, our dedicated Preconstruction Manager out of the Orlando office.
Jake’s journey with W. W. Gay began in 2019. During a family trip to Florida, they fell in love with everything the state had to offer and made the decision to relocate from Louisville. When an opportunity with W. W. Gay arose through a connection at his previous HVAC company, he seized the chance to turn that dream into a reality.
Jake’s interest in automation and design was sparked early on from his father who worked in the automation field. This passion led him to pursue CAD design after graduating high school, which eventually steered him toward estimating. His natural ability to understand complex systems and processes made him an excellent fit for the role. After six years in estimating, Jake transitioned into his current position as Preconstruction Manager.
In this role, Jake plays a pivotal part in the early stages of our projects. His responsibilities include reviewing bid requests from general contractors, conducting job walks, and engaging with customers. His background in automation has given him a deep understanding of project backends, allowing him to connect with customers and deliver precise, well-structured proposals.
His time at W. W. Gay has expanded his knowledge beyond estimating, giving him a broader understanding of full project systems and the front-end processes that drive successful outcomes. For Jake, W. W. Gay has provided the opportunity to achieve his dream of living in Florida while growing in his career. The company’s support and positive work environment have made him truly happy in his role.
Outside of work, Jake and his family are passionate Disney fans, often visiting the parks several times a week. He also enjoys fishing and spending quality time with his six-year-old son. Jake’s dedication and expertise make him a valued member of the W. W. Gay team, and we’re thrilled to have him on board!
