The mission of W. W. Gay is to provide the best service, at the best value, with the best people — every time.
Our Vision
The vision of W. W. Gay is to be a leader in our industry and our community through an unrivaled commitment to our craft and our people.
Message From Our CEO
Dear W. W. Gay Family,
As the seasons change and we move into spring, I’m reminded that growth isn’t just something we plan for — it’s something we cultivate every day through our hard work, commitment, and drive to be the best.
Our company has always been defined by its people. No matter the challenge, you show up with skill, determination, and a willingness to support one another. That’s what sets W. W. Gay apart. When we work together, we don’t just build projects—we build trust, relationships, and a legacy that lasts.
Hall of Fame basketball coach John Wooden once said, “Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.” That’s exactly what I see in this team. Each of you brings your own strengths to the table, and together, we continue to push the boundaries of excellence.
But growth isn’t just about getting better at what we do—it’s about helping those around us grow as well. Whether it’s taking the time to mentor a newer team member, sharing knowledge, or simply lending a hand when someone needs it, we all have the power to make W. W. Gay stronger. Our greatest success doesn’t come from individual achievements but from lifting each other up and working as one company and one team.
As we look ahead, let’s carry this mindset forward. Let’s embrace new opportunities, challenge ourselves to improve, and support each other in the process. Because when we grow together, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
Thank you for your dedication to W. W. Gay and for making this company — and each other — better every day.
Thank you for always being the Best in the Business!
Paul Jones CEO
Laying the Foundation: Marketing
The first several months of 2025 have been busy for the Marketing team, with many exciting initiatives designed to enhance communication, employee engagement, and company culture. Here’s what we’ve been working on:
The Blueprint: Our New Intranet Portal
Earlier this month, we proudly launched W. W. Gay’s new intranet portal, The Blueprint! This project has been in the works for months, and we know it was a muchneeded resource for the company. A big shout-out to our Creative Services Coordinator, Peyton Beasley, and intern, Muskan Patel, for their dedication and hard work on this initiative. Their time and effort were instrumental in making The Blueprint a reality— thank you both!
If you haven’t checked it out yet, The Blueprint serves as a one-stop shop for employees to access important company updates, documents, policies, and resources. We will continue to add information over time, ensuring it remains a valuable and up-to-date tool for all employees.
To help employees get the most out of the portal, the Marketing team will be sending out frequent “Did You Know?” emails highlighting key features, such as the Brand Hub, quick links to frequently used websites, and other tools designed to improve efficiency. Be on the lookout for these updates in your inbox!
Your feedback is essential in shaping how The Blueprint evolves to best serve your needs. If you have updates, news, or suggestions for additions, please reach out to Peyton Beasley at pbeasley@wwgmc.com.
New Hire Orientation
As part of our efforts to create a more structured and engaging onboarding experience, we successfully hosted our first-ever New Hire Orientation in March! This is an initiative I’m personally very passionate about, so I’m thrilled to see it take off.
This quarterly program ensures that all new employees— across all offices—receive a consistent introduction to W. W. Gay, including hearing from leadership, learning about different departments and our company’s history, and touring the Jacksonville headquarters. We believe this initiative will strengthen company culture and set new hires up for success from day one.
Employee Satisfaction Survey –Coming April
Listening to our employees is a top priority. Following our first employee engagement survey in late 2023, we are committed to making this an annual initiative to ensure we continue improving. The next anonymous Employee Satisfaction Survey will be sent out in April, providing all employees with an opportunity to share feedback on what’s working and where we can do better. Your voice matters, and we encourage everyone to participate!
Marketing Team Update
In other news, you may have noticed that Crystal Gaskins has joined the Marketing team! While the Sign Shop now falls under Marketing, operations will continue as usual, with Crystal handling all requests as before.
In addition to her Sign Shop responsibilities, Crystal will be taking on new duties with the team, including helping to spearhead events and plan employee engagement activities. Having been with W.W. Gay for nearly two decades, she brings a wealth of experience, and we’re excited to give her this opportunity to grow and advance in her career. If you haven’t already, be sure to congratulate Crystal on this new chapter!
Looking Ahead
The Marketing team is committed to enhancing communication, engagement, and company culture at W. W. Gay. With the launch of The Blueprint, the success of our first New Hire Orientation, and ongoing efforts like the Employee Satisfaction Survey, we are excited to continue building on this momentum throughout 2025.
As always, we welcome your ideas and feedback—together, we can keep forging the way forward!
Forging Ahead,
Emily Andrews Vice President, Marketing & Community Relations
Forging Ahead - The Next Five Years
Savannah Office: Year One Progress & Growth
Our presence in Georgia continues to grow as we establish a strong foundation for W.W. Gay in the region. We currently have 14 technicians working at Memorial Hospital and other sites, with additional opportunities on the horizon. Our Estimating team is actively bidding on projects, and we anticipate being awarded jobs soon. Our reach extends across Savannah, Brunswick, Darien, Statesboro, Hinesville, and Hilton Head.
One of our significant wins includes securing a service contract with Advance Cooling to maintain MRI chillers. We are also working with CBRE/Corrigo on contract work throughout Georgia, a lead that originated from our Tallahassee office. Additionally, we are focused on expanding our presence in the healthcare sector by pursuing medical gas and medical vacuum work. Our bids currently include projects at FLETC, the Georgia Port in Brunswick, and dental offices from Hilton Head to Brunswick. We are also proactively engaging with local organizations, such as YMCA locations across Georgia and the Ronald McDonald House in Savannah, to explore service opportunities.
Investing in Our Team
Our technicians are continuously enhancing their skills, with several currently attending classes for Medical Gas and Backflow Certifications. Additionally, Shawn Crosby is in the process of earning his Medical Gas Instructor Certification, which will allow him to train and certify future technicians in-house.
Building Our Brand in Georgia
Our Savannah office signage is up, and we’ve launched a billboard advertisement on US17 near Savannah. We’ve already received inquiries from potential customers who saw our ad and are eager to discuss upcoming projects. Inside our new office, we’ve recreated a miniature replica of our Jacksonville headquarters, thanks to the collaboration between Emily and the Marketing team.
We are also partnering with the local community to sponsor events and raise awareness of our capabilities. One recent highlight was our sponsorship of the SGHS Cancer Center’s Brunswick Bridge Run, where two of our dedicated employees, Caroline Carter and Hannah LaForge, took on the challenge of the 5K race over the towering Brunswick Bridge. Their well-earned celebration included a stop at Krystal—because if you know, you know!
Ribbon Cutting & Open House
We are excited to announce the official Ribbon Cutting & Open House for our Savannah location on Friday, May 30, at 11:00 AM. This event marks a major milestone for our expansion, and we look forward to celebrating with our team, partners, and the local community.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue Forging the Way in Georgia!
Cheers to success,
Ronnie Creel Director of Georgia

Spring Cleaning & Workplace Safety
Spring cleaning—whether at home or work—comes with potential hazards like handling chemicals, lifting heavy objects, and navigating cluttered or wet surfaces. Stay safe with these tips:
Declutter First:
Remove tripping hazards before cleaning.
Read labels & SDS sheets
Follow safety guidelines for proper use.
Ventilate Properly
Open windows or use fans when using strong cleaners.
Wear Gloves
Protect your skin from irritation or chemical exposure.
Use a Mop
Avoid strain from scrubbing on hands and knees.
Prevent Slips
Let wet floors dry before walking on them.
Store Chemicals Safely
Keep them in a secure, dry place, out of reach of children and pets.
Lift with Caution
Use your legs, not your back, and ask for help when needed.
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water and take breaks.
Spring Weather Hazards
Spring’s changing weather brings risks like thunderstorms, high winds, and flooding, which can impact job site safety. Keep these in mind:
Electrical Safety:
Be cautious when working near overhead wires in wet or windy conditions.
Ladder Safety : Muddy boots and wet ground increase fall risks.
Watch for falling objects: Loose debris can be hazardous in high winds.
Tool Safety:
Follow manufacturer instructions, and avoid power tools in extreme weather.
Storm Awareness:
Take precautions when working in or driving through hazardous conditions.
Heat & Sun Exposure:
Wear sunscreen, stay hydrated, and be mindful of extreme heat.
Insect Safety:
Use repellent to protect against ticks and Lyme disease.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. If you have concerns, contact us.
Stay safe,
Steve Ray Director of Safety
Project Spotlight Lake Weir High School Central Florida
We take pride in delivering high-quality HVAC solutions, and the ongoing Lake Weir High School project is a testament to our commitment to excellence. Managed by our Gainesville Service Department, this project is a multi-phase endeavor for the Marion County School Board, aimed at enhancing the HVAC systems in two buildings on the school campus.
The project kicked off in the spring of 2024, with work scheduled during the summer breaks of 2024 and 2025 to minimize disruption to students and staff. The scope includes extensive HVAC upgrades in Buildings 4 and 6, ensuring improved climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability.
Phase One: Summer 2024
During the summer of 2024, our team successfully completed major upgrades in Building 4. This included the installation of all chilled water piping on the first and second floors, along with reconnection to existing pumps and fan coil units. Insulation was installed on new piping in coordination with our subcontractor. Two mini-split units for the server rooms were replaced, and a new wall-mounted package unit was installed in Building 6. Additionally, all RTU equipment was stored safely ahead of refrigerant regulation changes, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Looking Ahead: Summer 2025 Plans
As we prepare for the next phase, scheduled for summer 2025, our focus will be on completing the remaining HVAC upgrades.
This includes the removal and replacement of all remaining chilled water equipment and piping in Building 4’s mechanical room, and demo of any remaining chill water piping throughout Building 4. New fan coil units, exhaust fans, VAVs, and RTUs will be installed. HVAC upgrades in Building 6 will continue with the installation of a new mini-split system and the replacement of all remaining exhaust fans and RTUs. Comprehensive testing and installation of new control systems will be conducted by a subcontractor specified by MCPS.
Project manager of the Gainesville Service Department, Ronald Murphy, describes this project as a challenging yet rewarding experience, requiring meticulous planning and coordination to meet the tight summer schedules. With the dedication of our office staff, field team, superintendent, and subcontractors, we are confident in delivering a top-tier HVAC system that will serve Lake Weir High School for years to come. We look forward to another successful summer of progress and the final completion of this extensive project in 2025!

New to the Crew
Aaron Brown
We’re excited to shine a spotlight on one of our newest team members, Aaron Brown, Assistant Project Manager in our Jacksonville office.
Aaron officially joined the W. W. Gay family about a month ago, but he’s no stranger to the company. A Jacksonville native and University of Florida graduate with a degree in Construction Management, Aaron has had a passion for the industry - something that runs in the family, as his father, Bill Brown, is also a valued member of our team.
Before joining us full-time, Aaron was an intern in Gainesville for a summer, gaining handson experience at Shands Hospital under the mentorship of Walt Traxler. That internship ignited his interest in healthcare construction, and now, as part of our Healthcare Department, he’s embracing the challenge of working on intricate hospital projects.
After graduating, Aaron spent a year working for an electrical contractor in St. Petersburg, focusing on apartment developments. However, his desire to return to Jacksonville and tackle more complex projects, led him back to W. W. Gay. Transitioning from apartment construction to the highly specialized world of healthcare facilities has been both exciting and challenging, and Aaron is eager to continue developing his expertise.
Currently, Aaron is working under Project Manager, Sam Asker, gaining valuable experience on projects at Mayo Clinic and several other healthcare facilities, while learning the ins and outs of change orders, purchase orders, and procurement processes. With the guidance of experienced project managers, he is quickly honing his skills and growing in his role.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find Aaron on the golf course at Eagle Harbor or cheering on the Florida Gators—a team he grew to love during his time at UF, despite growing up a Florida State fan!
We’re thrilled to have Aaron on board and excited to see his growth at W. W. Gay. If you see him around, be sure to give him a warm welcome!
Amy Bonnette
We are excited to extend a warm welcome to Amy Bonnette, our newest friendly face as our receptionist at the front desk of our Jacksonville office!
After an impressive 35-year career at Haskell, Amy was ready for a fresh start and felt an immediate connection to W. W. Gay—a company she’s known her whole life. A devoted Gator fan with deep roots in the community, she described the opportunity to join our team as a true “meant-to-be” moment.
Now working alongside Amy Munson, Amy brings a warm, welcoming spirit and a passion for exceptional customer service. Her mission is simple but impactful: “I want everyone who walks through the door or calls to feel welcome and happy here, just as I feel.”
Working alongside Amy Munson, she’s excited to bring happiness, support, and a helping hand to the front desk and beyond. Her favorite part about working here has been the team members that surround her. She already feels connected to the team thanks to years of familiar faces and long-time relationships.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys working out, running, traveling, and spending time with her husband and four dogs.
We’re thrilled to have you on board, Amy— welcome to the W. W. Gay family!
David Osborne
We’re thrilled to welcome David Osborne to the W. W. Gay family! As an Assistant Project Manager in our Jacksonville office, David is already making an impact in our Healthcare Department and is eager to grow in his role.
With six years of hands-on experience as a superintendent in his family’s fire and water restoration business, David built a strong foundation in construction. Looking to transition into project management, he pursued and recently earned a Business Management degree from Pensacola Christian College.
David’s journey to W. W. Gay began with a recommendation from a church connection who recognized his passion for project management and encouraged him to apply. After graduating in December, he relocated to Jacksonville and joined our team two months ago.
Now working under Robert Wilson in the Healthcare Department, David is gaining valuable experience in Procore job setup, managing cost-plus work, and overseeing logistics at UF Shands. He is focused on keeping projects organized, efficient, and running smoothly.
Outside of work, David enjoys woodworking and creating custom projects. He’s also actively involved in his local church community.
With his drive to learn, collaborate, and contribute, we’re excited to see all that David will accomplish at W. W. Gay!
Renee Moloney
We’re excited to introduce Renee Moloney, our new HR Assistant out of the Jacksonville office, who is already making an impact by ensuring that new hires feel right at home.
Renee graduated from Jacksonville University in 2023 with a degree in Graphic Design and Business, along with a minor in Film. While her background may seem creative, her true passion has always been in Human Resources. She enjoys solving problems, organizing processes, and working closely with people, which led her to W. W. Gay after discovering the opportunity on Indeed.
Before joining us, Renee worked in the Publix Deli, where she developed strong customer service skills and a love for helping people. Her experience there reinforced her desire to work in HR, where she could use her skills to support employees and enhance workplace efficiency.
As an HR Assistant, Renee plays a key role in onboarding new team members. She manages background checks, drug test administration, I-9 organization, and other administrative processes. Renee is focused on improving efficiencies and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
“I want to make a difference and help new hires feel at home,” Renee shares. “Starting a new job can be overwhelming, and I want to make that transition as smooth and welcoming as possible.”
For Renee, joining W. W. Gay has been a rewarding experience. She appreciates the supportive team, and the sense of family that defines our culture. Having previously known her neighbor and HR team member, Elizabeth Ray, she already felt a connection to the team, which made her transition even smoother.
Renee has a variety of unique hobbies. She’s a competitive gamer, frequently participating in Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart tournaments on her Nintendo Switch. She also enjoys card games, hiking, going on cruises, and playing percussion instruments.
With her enthusiasm and dedication to making W. W. Gay an even better place to work, Renee is a fantastic addition to our team. Please join us in welcoming her to the W. W. Gay family!

Brett’s career journey is a testament to growth through hard work and hands-on experience. In the Spotlight
Shawn Crosby
Savannah, GA Superintendent
At W. W. Gay, our success is driven by the dedication and expertise of our employees. One such leader is Shawn Crosby, the Site Manager of our newest office in Savannah. With extensive industry experience and a passion for mechanical contracting, Shawn is playing a vital role in expanding W. W. Gay’s presence in Georgia.
Shawn’s journey in the industry began in 1993 when he joined Local 177 in Brunswick, Georgia, after graduating high school. By 1998, he had turned out as a plumber and pipefitter, spending years refining his skills. In 2002, he transitioned into a management role as the Southeast Georgia Health Facilities Manager, where he continued working closely with W. W. Gay while overseeing health systems in the region. His long-standing respect for the company led him to officially join W. W. Gay in December 2023, seizing the opportunity to contribute to our growth in Georgia.
When Shawn first stepped into his role as Site Manager for the Savannah office, he started with just one apprentice. Today, his team has grown to 12 employees— quadrupling in size within a short time. As Site Manager, he oversees the maintenance department for Memorial Hospital, managing work orders, preventative maintenance, and project bidding. His leadership, alongside Georgia Director Ronnie Creel, has positioned W. W. Gay as the prime Mechanical Contractor for the facility. Shawn is also actively involved in securing new clients, developing scopes of work, and collaborating with general contractors, engineers, and architects to drive business growth.
Shawn’s passion for construction was ignited early in his career when he first joined the union. Over the years, he has leveraged his hands-on experience in plumbing and pipefitting to transition into leadership roles. With over 20 years of management experience, he has developed a strong ability to balance mechanical expertise with strategic project execution.
Since joining W. W. Gay, Shawn has found his niche in healthcare construction and maintenance, where he enjoys working alongside highly skilled tradespeople. His proudest achievement so far has been the rapid growth of his team and the establishment of W. W. Gay as a key player in Savannah’s mechanical contracting space.
For Shawn, the work is rewarding, but the people make it truly special. He values the relationships he has built within W. W. Gay, including his team members, Hannah LaForge and Joey Howland who have helped make the Savannah office a success. Having worked with the company as an apprentice years ago, he has always admired our culture and commitment to excellence. When he’s not managing projects and expanding W. W. Gay’s footprint in Georgia, Shawn enjoys spending time by the coast, fishing, and making memories with his family.
With his leadership, dedication, and industry expertise, Shawn Crosby is helping shape the future of W. W. Gay in Georgia. His contributions are already making a significant impact, and we look forward to seeing all that he will accomplish in the years ahead!

Pillar of Our Community
A Clear Vision for 40 Years: W. W. Gay & Vision Is Priceless
For over four decades, W. W. Gay has been an advocate for Vision Is Priceless, a nonprofit organization committed to assessing, sustaining, and improving the visual health of children and adults in Northeast Florida. Through sponsorship and hands-on involvement, W. W. Gay has played a pivotal role in helping individuals across Northeast Florida access critical eye exams, screenings, and glasses.
Vision Is Priceless traces its roots back to the Prevent Blindness Northeast Florida Chapter, founded in 1966 with the mission of providing vision care to the uninsured and underserved. W. W. Gay’s commitment to this cause began in 1978 when Mr. William W. Gay himself began supporting the organization. His unwavering dedication to vision health was recognized when he was honored as a “Man of Vision” at the esteemed People of Vision Dinner. In 1996, the organization transitioned its name to Vision Is Priceless Council (VIP) to ensure all funds raised remained within the local community.
In 1983, W. W. Gay served as the presenting sponsor of the inaugural BBQ & Western fundraiser, benefiting the Prevent Blindness Northeast Florida Chapter. This event, co-hosted with Miller Electric, saw employees coming together to prepare the barbecue dinners. This fundraiser became a beloved tradition for 37 years.
Beyond fundraising, W.W. Gay employees have actively participated in events like Tip the VIP, where staff served as waiters to raise funds for Vision Is Priceless. Beginning in 2004, the company partnered with Vision Is Priceless for the “Tip the VIP” event, where employees took on the role of wait staff at a special dinner held at the Hill Top Club. All tips collected during the event were donated to Vision Is Priceless, furthering its mission to provide accessible eye care.
Through decades of participation and support, W. W. Gay has helped transform countless lives by ensuring that vision care remains accessible to those who need it most. The partnership between W. W. Gay and Vision Is Priceless exemplifies a shared commitment to community service, health, and a brighter future for Northeast Florida.
As we continue our mission to support life-changing initiatives, the impact on vision health and community well-being remains stronger than ever, proving that together we can change lives and create a clearer future for all.
