Interschools chess tournament @ Selskar College

On March 16th2023 Selskar College hosted a chess tournament. There were three schoo involved. Kennedy College, Enniscorthy Community College and ourselves; Selskar College.

It was a very challenging morning with 30 participants playing. This fun packed mornin involved one to one play offs to see who would go forward to the next round. There wer rounds. There wa Congratulations t ers.

Fun Facts

Fact 1. The longest official game of chess took place in 1989 that went on for 20 hours and included 269 moves.

Fact 2. Who first made chess?

Today we know that chess originated from the Gupta Empire (600CE), of India.
