Toxic Friendship Essay
Throughout their lives, most people will deal with some sort of toxic friendship or relationship. While those on the outside might think it is easy to get out of these friendships or relationships, that is not always the case. Unfortunately, I had to experience this first hand. For years, I had what I believe was a toxic friendship with Dani Kaye, and it took me months to get out of it. If I could redo how I ended the friendship, I would have been direct with Dani Kaye and that I no longer wanted to be friends with her, instead of avoiding it. I also would have ended the friendship much sooner. The first incident I remember realizing the Dani Kaye was not a good person to have as a friend occurred during the sixth grade. During our time in elementary school, she had always been friends with my friend Stephanie, until one day Dani Kaye decided to stop being friends with her, and went about it very rudely. Out of all of the incidents of Dani Kaye being rude to Stephanie, there is one I distinctly remember. The friendship ended a couple weeks before Dani Kaye's birthday party, which Stephanie was initially invited to. One day during lunch, I remember Dani Kaye telling to Stephanie, loud enough that everyone in the sixth grade section of the lunchroom could hear, that she was no longer invited to the party, and Dani Kaye and her friends laughed at Stephanie for being uninvited. At the time, I was much better friends with Stephanie than Dani Kaye, and looking back, I wish I

In Elementy you always wanted to have friends, you wanted to also be the cool kid or have a friendship with the cool kid. Well sadly you can't always make all your friends happy and I had to learn that the hard way. Getting bullied in Elementary made me think twice on who were my friends. Bullying got me thinking less of me thinking i was worthless ugly if you will. In the end i learned that you can't make everyone happy and you can't be the perfect image that everyone wants to be.
Now I'm not saying you can't be friends with anyone and have to be a loner, what I'm saying is that you said check twice on who surrounds you. You may be thinking why? Well here is why not everyone is the nice person that you want to have around you as a best friend. How do i know? Well It was in elementary when i had this friend named jordan. Me and jordan got along pretty well after knowing jordan for three years i thought we were best friends, little did i know that i was very wrong! One day in the middle of summer the teacher let a few kid leave early to go to lunch and i was one of them. I left the classroom and got in line for lunch the line was extra log that day so i had to go to the very back. While i was waiting in line Jordan finally made it out of the classroom and into the lunchroom she was with her friend that i did not know. Jordan started talking to her friend and ignored me which i really didn't have a problem with but saw them smirking and looking at me. Then Jordan turns to

Having a friendship with someone since you were little is amazing, the bond you form with that person like a never–ending comforter and someone to always trust and confide in. The day I moved into the new house and went to see the neighborhood, I knew we would always be close. Owen and I grew closer every day, quickly becoming the best of friends, and at the time, nothing was better than having a best friend. Through our awkward years, multiple friend groups coming and going, the harsh words and the hate from other people, we were always there for each other; he had my back and I his. Living in the moment and cherishing the things you have while you have them is one of the most important things in life because you never know when it can all be taken away...
It was during the eleventh–grade summer that everything changed. The daily talks, sleepovers, and coming to each other about everything all hindered. Eye contact and smiles were turned to scowling, pointing, and laughing with the hierarchy of all groups. Being friends with him for so long and eventually developing feelings that exceeded a friendship, and then just being dropped with no warning and not having a clue why was heart–wrenching and confusing. The day of the pep–rally I finally thought that this one–sided feud would be stopped and that we could rekindle our lost friendship, but I could never be more wrong. Many side glances, smirks, and winks were made, but none with the loving intent that they used to hold.

Reflective Essay About Friendship
It is very sad to see a friend or relative suffering or in need, especially when they pretend that everything is all right. It is a delicate situation when approaching someone in this predicament, as often a person's pride stands in the way of reaching out for comfort. How to offer your help to an independent friend or relative in this position requires a bit of clever manipulation and a not–so– obvious plan in order to help.
If the problem at hand is a financial matter, the first response would be to offer them a loan. On the other hand, most people would be embarrassed to admit to this, and will perhaps be offended at the offer. However, instead of outright offering them money, trading a service in return for payment would not seem as...show more content... This will certainly make them feel better and will be helping them out at the same time.
Friends or relatives who have children may experience times when they cannot afford to give them the luxuries of toys, games or name brand clothing. At the same time, while most children do not understand hard times, these friends or relatives hurt inside because of this. It would probably be insulting to them if you bought a bag of toys, a new wardrobe for the kids or a slew of games and delivered these items in order to help. Overall, there is a way to present such items in a fashion that will not seem like charity. While honesty is the best policy, lending a helping hand when we are in a position to do so often takes precedence. Telling our life long friend or family member that our children received clothing as a gift, but it did not fit, or perhaps received a duplicate toy or game and offering it to their children is a way to help in times of despair.
Many times when family or friends decide to meet or get together to go out for dinner, drinks, or even to a movie, we take for granite the expense of these excursions and expect that everyone can participate. On the contrary, when a friend or relative bows out, the reason why they decline becomes obvious. Here again, little white lies come in to play, and compassion takes over. Mentioning to this friend or relative that you Get more content
Friendship Essay: Helping a Friend in Need
I have a strange friend. When I say strange I don 't mean like he assembles massive Lego sculptures of celebrities or plays anime games with a little too accurate boob physics. I mean strange like otherworldly involvement strange. Since as far back as I can remember I have always been unlucky and probably one of the clumsiest people on the planet. This has lead me into some painful and less than pleasant experiences. From that time I busted my lip on the stairwell at school all the way to when I fell over and tripped Ryan Devonbire at school and he beat my ass for a month. I am not a lucky person, that is until my previously stated friend. He showed up when I was around 11 years old when I fell over my own feet and almost landed in freshly laid cement. I would have gotten a tooth full of wet ground if he had not snatched the back of my collar and pulled me to my trembling feet.
"Oh t–thanks mr!" I said fumbling with my words
"Ahem yeah no problem young man just watch yourself" he said while backing behind a corner.
I chalked it up to an awkward adult and moved on.
It wasn 't until I was around 14 years old that I saw him again after a party with my friends. I was drinking and being stupid but a reasonable kind of stupid. I decided to walk home from my friend 's house drunk as a skunk. I stumbled and fell hit my head a few times but nothing a few aspirin and some sleep couldn 't fix. I rounded the corner no more than 20 steps to my house and I fell, tearing the skin off

I Have A Strange Friend Essay
Personal Narrative We have many people that we say are our friends and some we consider to be our as best friends. Those so called best friends are the ones we can count with our fingers, which then turns out to not be a lot. However, in my experience we can't always expect good outcomes from either one of them. We are better off not trusting anyone but yourself, since your best friends are the ones that end up hurting you the most. However, I didn't lose a friend, I just realized I never had one. In every friendship, we are risking the chance of being betrayed, we need to be careful how much trust we give. As we grow older we realize that not all friends can be trusted. People change and friends become distant as they discover different interests. This is when we realize that the person we thought was our best friend is now growing into an enemy that knows all our secrets. As we grow apart so do our mutual friends, and interests change towards other people. Our best friends know our weaknesses and later use that against us. I've been hurt by a so called friend, unfortunately I learned the hard way, but now I am careful. Karina and I had been best friends since kindergarten, we had a great friendship. All our scholar experience had been wonderful, we were best friends' goals. We protected each other and discovered at an early age that we had similar interests. It was always Karina and me everywhere, we would go everywhere together, we would even spend weekends at each other's houses. We grew so close to each other that even our parents became friends as well. That was an extra bonus because it meant that we would see each other more often. We made so many plans together, we discussed future goals and how we would be best friends together and forever. Afterschool, we would always go to my house, because she didn't have a ride and her mom would pick her up after work. I didn't mind honestly, I would never get tired of her. We would always do homework together, take a break and go get ice cream, just hang out and have a fun time. In fact, we especially enjoyed her mom working late so that we could spend more time together, bonding. My parents loved her. She was a good example and they

I tried the best to comfort her, discussing about her career, all the places we want to go together, talking about our favorite shows and getting celebrities' autograph. Then, around three o'clock in the morning she calmed down. We promised if anything significant happened in our lives, we will tell each other and not do dumb things. We waited. Those main doors were busy after the bells rang for 3:15pm. But nowhere in the crowd did we find Daniel. Which made sense, of course; probably still shaken from the picture. My friends and I had planned to beat David up after school. We were the most popular group in our grade, and no other groups were able to surpass us. But I will be completely honest, I did not want to do it. I tried every possible way to not have to hurt David. I swear! (looks at audience). I know what you're thinking. That I'm just saying this to cover up what I had done. But when you're with your group of friends, you have to look cool, keep your popularity. I mean how many of you wouldn't do something stupid if it meant losing all your friendships? See, that's how I felt. We waited for a while. He just wouldn't come out. My best friend is always there when I need her the most, has my back when times get rough, and I can always tell her my deepest darkest secrets. My best friend's name is Tea Elaine Valentine. We have been best friends for nine years and counting. We met in the third grade. I was introduced to Tea by another friend of mine. She thought I was weird at first, but as she got to know me we have been best friends ever since. Tea and I are two different people. Tea is more of the outspoken, no filter, and whatever comes to mind is said. I'm more of the quiet and laid back. I have learned many things from Tea like learning how to speak up for myself, never to let anyone walk all over me, and it is okay to say how you feel. From third grade to sixth grade Tea and I were stuck together like glue. Every day after school we would call each other on the house phone and we would talk for hours. "I have something to tell you," Tea said."Yes?" I replied. She said "I'm moving to Big Rapids next year" . After hearing this news I was so devastated. I felt like I was losing my best friend. Goodbye It is amazing how many things we take for granted. We make plans for the day, and don't think twice about how those plans can be taken away in the blink of an eye. I would say it is better than ever, but that would be a lie. We are friends. Friends do not fib to each other. They tell the truth, even if it hurts, while hoping whatever negatives come forth do not infringe on a lifelong friendship.
College basketball is kind of like your friend from high school who never grew up. Our gender binary friend (using "he" for the sake of keeping it simple the rest of the way) clings to a glory most stopped long ago caring to relive. Broken Friendships
People tend to share everything with their closest friends about their hopes, secrets and insecurities. They want to be better than the other in many aspects of life whether it is about fashion, or who has the most electronics, cars, clothes and money. There is a competition that is occurring but is hard to notice. Jealousy often leads to hatred and therefore, leads to a broken friendship. Many female friendship has ended because one was jealous of the other 's career, love life, or even looks. This is a very common cause of broken friendships among women.

The person who got left behind will either forget her friend who moved away or she is going to be the one who will be forgotten. Lack of communication will end a friendship in no time. If none of them choose to take the initiative to reach out for their friend, they have no one to blame but themselves when their friendship ends. No calls, no texts, and no e–mails will ultimately ruin a friendship. If they really want to keep their friendship, then they Get

My Experience With My Friends
Growing up I could identify my friends whom I found to be more sensitive, friendly and imaginative. These were the friends that I could turn to when I had a problem I needed to talk through or someone who was sincere and honest in their advice while being mindful of my feelings. I could also identify with these friends because I have always been one to make sure everyone else is taken care of before myself. These "blues" are the most genuine people I have met throughout life, but I have also found in my classroom. Just three days ago, one of my students answered a question that normally does not volunteer to participate. He answered correctly and his fellow peer whom he is not within the same social circle could not be more proud of him. She was astonished and proud of his answer and continued to whisper (loudly) across the room good job with her thumbs up until he realized her recognition and smiled back with a thank you. I was so proud to have this student in my classroom showing such compassion for another student. This generation is criticized for only thinking of themselves and although not untrue, it is moments like that, that remind me of how lucky I am to have blues in the classroom. As blues strengths including caring for others and sharing their emotions are compromised by them feeling hurt or treated unjustly, they take it personally. It's important to reassure and validate their feelings. Lastly are the students who carefully analyze my words, actions,

Nathan smirks–a smirk that I recognize very well–and says, "There's something else, Nayln."
"What more could you possibly give me?" I ask, feeling a warm feeling in my heart, getting hotter and hotter. Nathan grabs the key and holds in his palm, then something in his eyes change. I remember it being a cold Saturday night. One of my best friends was so messed up he wasn't able to talk much, only stare. We were all worried for him because he was the guy who never dabbled in these things, an average teenager with feelings, hopes, and dreams, so why him? This was the first time I realized how drugs and alcohol can take a severely negative toll on anybody, even those closest to you. I received a snapchat from Colton* saying that Anthony had been drugged at one of the fraternity parties they had attended after a football game. I called as fast as I could, as I was worried for his well–being. He had been drinking beer and someone had slipped a hallucinogen, most likely LSD, in his drink. Even if a student does not engage in any use, it is highly common that someone they know will at some point in their life. When teenagers begin this activity, it can rapidly escalate, leading to addiction or the use of heavier drugs. Teenagers are not able to fully comprehend how this will affect them mentally or physically, shortterm or long term. Attending a largeschool, I have witnessed many people I know struggle with addiction to pills, marijuana, tobacco, and alcohol. These people don't realize that they are putting these things above everything in life, and they are struggling academically, as well as socially. It is hard for other teenagers to help since they don't want to get their friends in trouble or they're simply unaware of how severe the situation is.
Along with the mental and physical issues drugs and alcohol can cause, teenagers are also unaware of the legal consequences that come along with being caught with these substances. Being a minor in possession of alcohol or drugs can be charged with hefty fines, and even incarceration. If drugs or alcohol are in possession or being used at school, students can expect to receive a suspension, crossroads, or even expulsion. They can also be removed from any clubs, teams, and certain classes. The only reason students have knowledge of these consequences is from observing the outcome others face after they get caught. At this age, we should know the consequences before an incident occurs

Have you ever met a person you thought was your best friend? Or a person you thought you knew, but they turned out to be completely different than how they portrayed themselves? During my second semester of 8th grade, one of my best friends, Joyce, whom I thought I knew, turned out to be pretending to be someone she was not and turned on me when a misunderstanding occurred between us. After the betrayal of my so–called "best friend", my transition into high school led to frequent wariness of who I befriended because I was scared of history repeating itself. Over the course of high school, I have met many favorable individuals and made many new friends that helped me trust people again, showing me that not everyone is like Joyce.
During the 8th grade, a simple text message in a group chat caused misunderstandings between Joyce and me. This led to her betraying my friendship by spreading rumors about me. My friends and I suspected that Joyce had a crush on someone, so we decided to ask her through text in our group chat. "Hey Joyce, let's play truth or dare! I'll ask first and I know you always chose truth first. Who do you have a crush on?" Joyce then mentioned by accident that she told someone else who her crush was, "The only person that knows we I like is Shirley.". This led us to believe she did not trust us, her best friends, with that information. We jokingly shunned her for being perfidious, but we also did not fully trust her. We knew when she will tell us who she Get

Friendship is very important. With friends in life, rough situations may become bearable and false decisions may turn back into the right decision. Yet sadly, the world is not perfect and it is corrupted by sin. Human used friendship in a selfish manner. Instead of helping each other, some used friendship to obtain their own goal or mislead their so called friend. This is not how friendship supposed to be. In the book Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi, readers could see how important friendship is and how it should be. In Nabeel Qureshi's life, his friendship with David helped him started his Christian conversion and aided him along the way. Before Qureshi met David, he thought that Christianity is wrong and Allah is the only god. After Qureshi saw David read theBible on his free time, the author asked David if he knew that the Bible was not reliable. For a devout Christian, hearing others blatantly said that the Bible is completely corrupted is a big shock. Instead of getting angry at Qureshi, David just smiled and calmly handled the conversation. Qureshi mentioned that it was rather surprising how calm David was because "people were usually caught more off guard" (126).
Instead of lashing out on Qureshi for his disagreement, David calmly showed him the errors in his thinking in a respectful way. This is how friends should help each other. After Qureshi did multiple researches to prove that the Bible and the whole belief of Christianity is wrong, David did Get more content

Friendship. This is one thing that comes easily to most, yet for others it can be an uphill battle. Alex Pfister is one of those "other people." When I first met him, he came off as one of the most introverted people I had ever met, but I figured that after I had gotten to know him that would change. It didn't. Many people would have decided to abort the mission to become his friend after this, but instead I just started trying harder. Ziouxey and Alex might have been introverted, but one person that isn't is Michael Boschwitz. Now every Saturday for the plays we have set construction. Basically we sit there for nine hours of our lives aimlessly screwing screws into flats, so I decided to take this as my first opportunity. I have discovered the best way to get people to become your friend is to be funny. People like having someone to laugh at, and turns out that I am that person in a large percentage of my friendships. So the day continued on, and as expected my plan worked. By the end of our nine hours together, I had officially been invited to hang out with them afterwards. Now of course every method has its flaws, and we actually didn't end up doing anything. Well that's what they said. I know for a fact that they actually did end up doing something, because I'm Alex's neighbor, so I saw them pick him up. But that is not what matters. What matters is that that was my first official "in." I later learned that neither Alex nor Ziouxey had wanted me to hang out with them, but at that point in time I had no idea. Even if I had known that at the time I wouldn't have cared, but looking back at it now they did make it fairly obvious. I then decided that I had to really make sure that I would be included in the future, or my process wouldn't work.
