After graduation from KOREA University, I decided to enter Hyndai MotorCompany(HMC), which is the largest Korean car manufacturer and global player, to pursue a career as an international businessman. In January 1991, I joined Domestic Finance Team of HMC. My specific assignment was to plan monthly and annual financial schedules for HMC's domestic funding needs. About two years later, in January of 1993, I was transferred to Retail Finance Team from Domestic Finance Team and responsible for financing by the sales and factoring of Car Receivables.

In the quest to exploit market opportunities around the globe, business are increasingly experimenting with new approaches and structures which cut across national boundaries. But if these experiments are survive and even flourish in environment which are increasingly fluid and complex. Throughout my work experience, I have tried aquire a strategic awareness with a global outlook. For example, when I took resposibility for HMC's India Project, more specifically, during business trip to India, I visited many Indian financial institutions and had many business talks with local financiers. Besides this multicultural exposure, several FDI projects(China, Japan, Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Vietnam, and so on forth) further widened my multicultural exposure. And I have willingly and intensively learned to speak Japanese and Chinese to work efficiently with local partners. Familiarity with a multicultural environment may help a manager reduce or eradicate the effects of percerved discrimination and achieve business goals effectively.
Fourth Challenge : My education now has to enter its most critical stage – actual study of business. I have taken stock of myself, considering my skills, experiences, and goals. I have looked to family and friends, some of whom are doctors, for advice. Because of this self–examination, I have decided to pursue a career in health care. The process has been difficult at times but always illuminating. Throughout it all, I have never lost confidence – the confidence that I will actively absorb all available medical knowledge, forge friendships with fellow students, and emerge from my training as a skilful and caring physician.
I know that the road that I take to become a doctor is going to be very challenging; however I feel that my past has prepared me for taking on the challenge. As a student, I am an active participant in my academic and extracurricular activities. My first priority has always been to make good grades and learn in college. Although this is important to me, I also know that by participating in clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities, I will become a well–rounded student. I have been working hard for the last 7 years, operating as an independent, responsible adult. In that time I have constantly learnt from my life experiences and developed skills in both learning and life management.
