All bulls ofered in the sale are guaranteed to pass a semen test and are guaranteed breeders.
Viewing the Sale Ofering
The bulls are available for view at the ranch until March 5th. The bulls will be moved to Perlich Bros. Auction Market and available for viewing March 7th, up until sale time.
Wintering & Board
We are willing to take the bulls home and continue to feed them until you need them delivered. We strongly suggest that bulls returning to Nish Charolais to be wintered are insured. An insurance agent will be on site sale day. All bulls returning to Nish Charolais do so at the BUYERS RISK.
Delivery
Delivery is free of charge up to 300 km from Lethbridge; above 300 km at a cost.
Insurance
Insurance will be available to purchase on sale day. The animals become your responsibility as soon as sold. We recommend insuring your purchases.

Semen Rights
Nish Charolais retains in-herd semen interest on all bulls sold in the sale, at the seller’s expense and owner’s convenience, to be drawn at a future date.

For our American friends, the exchange rate will be announced on sale day at the start of the sale.

This is a home raised bull that caught our eyes in the pen, and we couldn’t take our eyes of him, so we kept him back to use in our program. In 2023 we acquired Cycnus. He is a bull from the DeBruycker Charolais program in Montana. We went through their pen, and this is the bull we felt would add lots to our program. He incorporates performance with some calving ease. He is a smooth made bull with the length and muscle that you want to stamp your calves with in the fall.

When we set out looking for a herdsire in 2020, we were immediately drawn to HTA Billy the Kid. His length of body, natural muscle combined with some extreme maternal strength led us to believe that Billy the Kid was a home run for our program. The Billy the Kid sons ofered refect the hair, performance, good footed and natural muscling that we look for. To top it of, their quiet and calm demeanor is a bonus!

Terms and Conditions
TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable immediately after the sale. Settlement is in Canadian funds. The right of the property shall not pass until settlement is paid in full. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Current exchange rates will be announced on sale day.
BIDDING: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer, or special representatives. Bids must be received prior to the sale, in a sufcient time frame.
DISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be fnal.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: All announcements made from the auction block on sale day will take precedence over the printed material. Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected from the auction stand at sale time and such correction will take precedence over printed material in the catalogue.
PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certifcate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made.
IN-HERD SEMEN: Nish Charolais reserves the right to collect semen on any bull sold through the sale. Semen collection will be at seller’s expense and the buyer’s convenience.
BREEDER GUARANTEE: Should any bull fourteen months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six months following the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reached fourteen months of age. The seller has the right and privilege of six months to prove that the bull is a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.
EXCEPTION GUARANTEE: In the case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.
The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.
INSURANCE: Insurance will be available for purchase on sale day.
DELIVERY: Assistance will be given with making delivery arrangements after the sale. The purchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of the seller but will be as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk.
ACCIDENTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither Nish Charolais, the auctioneer, sale staf, Wright Livestock Marketing Services sale management or Perlich Bros. Auction Market Ltd. assumes no responsibility in the matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.
