SIGHT UNSEEN PURCHASE PROGRAM
We know that as producers, you are busy and might not be able to attend the sale or tour the bull pen. We ofer a sight unseen purchase program. We know our program inside and out. Our females and herdsires are proven and predictable. Give us a call with the qualities you are looking for in the bull(s) to suit your operation (birthweight, size, colour, etc.), and with any questions you may have. We will help you select the bull(s) that meets your requirements. Satisfaction guaranteed or we refund your money with no hassle!
SEMEN RIGHTS
Char-Maine Ranching Ltd. retains in-herd semen interest on all bulls sold in the sale to be drawn at a future date, at the seller’s expense and owner’s convenience.
GUARANTEE
All bulls sold are guaranteed to pass a semen test and are guaranteed breeders.
TERMS OF SALE
Yearlings:
Yearling bulls will be wintered on farm until needed in the spring of 2026. They will be semen tested and delivered free of charge. Bulls that are wintered on farm must be insured for mortality. Mortality insurance cost is 8% of purchase price and will be available for purchase on sale day.
Two-Year Olds:
All coming two-year old bulls have been semen tested.
• Bring your trailer sale day, haul your bull home and we will deduct $200.
OR Choose from one of these two options.
• We will deliver your bull as soon as convenient for you after the sale OR
• We will feed him for the winter and deliver him when you need him for $900 payable on sale day. Bulls on this option must be insured for mortality. Mortality insurance available for purchase on sale day at a cost of 12% of purchase price.
FEED TRIALS
Rate of Feed Intake and Rate of Gain numbers listed are from Feed Trials that the bulls participated in and listed for informational purposes. There is no breed average data for these two numbers. Feed efciency data on yearling bulls will be available sale day.

Terms & Conditions
TERMS
The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, and all settlements must be made on sale day, or 50% on sale day with the balance payable upon delivery, as agreed upon with prior arrangements. The right of the property shall not pass until settlement is paid in full. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Current exchange rates will be announced on sale day.
DISPUTES
In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be fnal.
PURCHASER’S RISK
Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
All announcements made from the auction block sale day will take precedence over the printed material. Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected from the auction stand at sale time and such correction will take precedence over printed material in the catalogue.
ACCIDENTS
Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, SOUTHERN ALBERTA LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE, Char-Maine Ranching or any of the sale staf assumes no responsibility in the matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.
LIABILITY
SOUTHERN ALBERTA LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE is acting as agent only in this sale isn’t liable in any manner whatsoever for any representations made by the seller. The purchasers must look to the seller for fulflment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION
Each animal will carry papers issued by the breed they represent if they are listed as being a registered animal: Canadian Charolais Association and Canadian Maine Anjou. A certifcate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made.
IN-HERD SEMEN
Char-Maine Ranching Ltd. reserves the right to collect semen on any bull sold through the sale. Semen collection will be at seller’s expense and the buyer’s convenience.
