We’re Still Here For You, So Let’s Keep Going Together Berkley Aspire created this awesome message for their clients

Nautilus Celebrates 35 Years

OUR FOUR PILLARS: Committed to SERVE, Make it FUN, GROW Together, and Driven to EXCEL In 1985, while people were watching Back to the Future, learning about .coms, and seeing Michael Jordan be named NBA Rookie of the year, Nautilus was opening their doors for the first time. Unlike New Coke, Nautilus positioned itself for success from the beginning, and this year we are celebrating our 35th anniversary. In the beginning: With a clear vision, the Company’s founders and employees began laying their solid foundation one client at a time. Unparalleled customer service, a can-do attitude, and creative problem solving are hallmarks of the Nautilus experience and our differentiator in the Excess & Surplus Lines market. The fledgling Company of six employees in 1985 is now 260 strong and growing, holding firm to our founding principles and steadfast resolve to listen carefully and respond professionally. This dedication has resulted in Nautilus profitably writing more than $6.4 billion in direct premiums since our inception. What we do: For 35 years, Nautilus has provided smart underwriting solutions and exceptional experiences to appointed General Agents (wholesale insurance agents) in all 50 states. These Agents partner with us, and have binding authority to sell our insurance policies to Excess & Surplus Commercial risks through retail agents. These are risks admitted, or mainstream, insurers won’t cover. We offer commercial property and casualty insurance solutions to higher risk, smallto medium-sized main street businesses with low- to moderate-exposure to loss. As an E&S carrier specializing in the high-volume, small-premium market we have nearly 150,000 policies in force. To illustrate, an agency has a client whose business was denied insurance three times through standard (admitted) insurers due to a previous fire or other loss on the property – perhaps that client was a restaurant, apartment building, or warehouse. The agent can now contact us, an E&S (non-admitted) insurer, to tailor a policy that fits their client’s needs as we are willing to take the higher risk. Who we are: We are a company of innovators. We strive to create programs that put more products in our agents’ authority and be a trusted resource for our agency partners. We are highly engaged team players who embrace change and continuously better ourselves and our Company. We are proud of our hard-earned accomplishments, yet always have our eye on an upward trajectory, way up.
