Ofsted

Our Ofsted Report was sent out to our families at the beginning of term. The Ofsted team agreed with our self-evaluation that we are a GOOD school. Thank you to all our children, parents, governors and staff for their commitment and hard work over the past three years. New arrangements

Information for Parents

We will be trialling new arrangements for exiting at the end of the day. From Tuesday 27th September families may exit the building through both the school gate and reception. However we ask that parents enter the school at both the start and end of the day through the school gate. This will prevent congestion in the reception area. We want to ensure that movement around the school is safe.

Wembley Primary School is now taking part in the Open Check scheme. This scheme enables parents and carers to see if the school is open (particularly useful during extreme weather conditions), and be reminded of the date that school will reopen to children following each holiday.

Class Assemblies All classes present one assembly a year. These take place on Friday mornings at 9am. We ask that parents be on time for the start of these assemblies since it can be very distracting for the children when adults arrive late. Dates this half term 30th September 6P 7th October 6S 14th October 5S 21st October 5P

You can choose to gain this information in any of two ways: 1. Phone 0208 408 7508 and key in the school DCSF number (3043605) to check the open status for Wembley Primary School. 2. Using the link on our school website homepage at wembleyprimary.co.uk

Badminton During the Summer, Wembley Primary badminton team played in the Borough final against St Joseph’s Primary School at Wembley Arena. Our boys triumphed 5-0 and our girls 3-2. Special congratulations to Mulique Eldemire and Jemima Sarwar who clinched the deciding doubles match. Well Done everyone.

Punctuality We have had a high number of pupils arriving late for school. School starts at 8.50am, it is important that children do not miss out on learning at the start of the day. If children are late they must sign in at the entrance to the school and then enter through the small hall. This ensures that children are registered since class registers may have closed.

A budding author Jasmin Taylor in 4W wrote her first short story which was published for the class to share. Well Done Jasmin we look forward to the sequel.

The PTA Picnic

Thank you to all the Parents and Staff who supported our Summer picnic. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the sun, music and activities.

Cycle Training Every Thursday until 13th October a representative from Cycle Training UK will be available to give advice regarding cycling and cycle training. The instructor will be available to give advice at the end of the school day and will be located next to the school bicycle stand.
