Getting There If you are flying, Philadelphia International is the most affordable and is only 1 hour from Atlantic City. Philadelphia and then make the 1 hour trip to Atlantic City using one of the following methods:
By Car: From PHL airport: Take I95 North and follow signs to the Walt Whitman Bridge. Once you get over the Walt Whitman Bridge, you stay straight and will see signs (approx 8 miles) for Atlantic City which puts you on the AC Expressway. From there you are only 40 miles from the tables!
By Train From the airport, take the SEPTA Regional Rail Line (entrance on pedestrian bridges and commercial roadway) $7.00 one-way to 30th Street Station (Amtrak). New Jersey Transit's Atlantic City line runs from 30th Street Station to AC, so you can catch the train at 30th Street Station. The train also makes local stops through Cherry Hill, Lindenwold, etc. The fare is $10. Schedule http://www. njtransit.com/pdf/rail/R00... Once you arrive at the Atlantic City Train terminal, there are free shuttles to all casinos. Use the Kirkman Boulevard exit [follow the crowd] and each shuttle has signage for which casinos they go to.
By Bus Take the NJ Transit 551 bus from the Greyhound Terminal in Philadelphia (10th and Filbert), it costs $16.50 one way, direct into Atlantic City Bus Terminal (just a couple of blocks from Caesars). Greyhound buses also run from the Greyhound Terminal and are $12 (standard fare) or $16 (refundable fare) one way, also going direct to Atlantic City Bus Terminal. (All buses stop in Camden and Sicklerville while some also stop at the Farley service Plaza.) Once in Atlantic City, you can get around by Jitney (they run every few minutes on Pacific Avenue, some go to the marina area).
FAQ's Do I have to wear my badge at all times? Yes! You will not be able to enter tournaments and parties without one. Why do I need a badge/ticket to play in the cash tournaments? These badge/ticket makes this a semi-private event and help offset the costs of putting together this 4-day poker-party. Does my guest need a badge/ticket to get into the parties?
Yes, everyone will need a party badge to enter the parties. Party Only badges are available at the WTP customer service desk for only $35 ($30 if you already have a Poker Only Badge)
I didn’t qualify for the National Championship/National TOC - Can I still play? Unfortunately not. These are qualifier tournaments only.
My friend qualified but isn’t going to be here, can I take his/her seat? No, National Championship and TOC seats are not transferrable.
Will there be food at the parties? Yes. We will have a full lineup of food and great drink specials! Do I need a badge/ticket to play in the Nationals? No, but if you are coming for the Nationals, you should stay and take in the entire experience! What else should I know?
