The Jamboree Site The 23rd World Scout Jamboree will be held in Kirara-hama, Yamaguchi, Japan. Japan is an island country in the Pacific Ocean, where beautiful nature and modern cities coexist. You can find rich traditional culture as well as modern culture such as animation in Japan. Yamaguchi is located in the western part of Japan facing the calm Seto Inland Sea. It exemplifies many aspects of contemporary Japan such as modern city, beautiful nature, traditional performing arts, old buildings as well as modern industries.

The Jamboree Site Kirara-hama The Jamboree Site: Kirara-hama Kirara-hama is a reclaimed land in YamaguchiCity, which is located in the western part of Honshu, extending about 1 km from north to south and 3 km from east to west (286 ha), and is equipped with developed facilities and parks. Kirara-hama was the site for Japan Expo Yamaguchi in 2001.

Climate Over the past 5 years, the temperature at Yamaguchi City in August has averaged 27.9 degrees Celsius, with precipitation averaging 157.7 mm. Since the Jamboree site faces the Seto Inland Sea, strong winds sometimes blow. Over the past 8 years, the weather from 31st July to 9th August has been mainly sunny, but with occasional showers and cloudy skies.
