The descriptive model • This model shows how design is done by a designer, and not necessarily what should be done to meet the requirements from the interested parties. • The standardized ship concept giving the lowest cost and straightforward development and the customer must eventually (after delivery) customize the standard solution to their needs. • Standardized to Order (StO) with the final product with little or no flexibility for the customer.
