Chapter 12 Using Information to Improve Results

Chapter Aim The aim of this chapter is to show how you can use information to improve the results your organization achieves. We aim to teach strategies that increase the extent to which information from the M&E system is used to inform decisions that improve results.

Chapter Knowledge and Skills By the end of this Chapter, you should be able to: a) Explain to others all the concepts relating to data, information, how decisions are made, how data are analyzed and displayed. b)

Analyze and synthesize routine survey research and evaluation data generated by the M&E system.

Put together dynamic reports (information products), including effective displays of information that help managers and decision makers take action.

Implement innovative and diverse strategies to maximize use of the information. 413
