Welcome to all our sponsors and supporters and also a special mention of the Malhi family on this RUOK awareness day.
Our last hit out was the trip north against the Ghosts it has been a long time since we’ve gone to Grafton and come home with three wins. This was a great effort from our Ladies,Reserve grade and A grade.
Looking forward to another good day for the Seahorses.
This week's special thanks goes to Cathy Scott! Cathy is 'mum' to two of the most passionate Woopi boys in the club - Cooper Under 14's and Reagan playing in both our Senior sides.
We wanted to specially thank Cathy for running our canteen for our first home game of the season and always being there to support our club. Cathy is also a long standing committee member of our Juniors club this year filling the roles of treasurer, junior vice president, canteen coordinator and under 14's team manager
Travelling away to play the Grafton Ghosts Woolgoolga u18’s put in a valiant effort, but failed to come home with the points. After a good start they were leading 10-6, but just before halftime they let in a couple of tries to go to the break 18-10 down. While the effort was there drop balls and silly penalties saw Grafton stretch out to 32-10 lead in the second half The Woolgoolga boys, while struggling with injuries and a depleted squad, dug deep to post 2 late tries to give a bit of respect to the score. With the bye next week giving injuries time to heal and with the return of some quality players into the squad the side will continue to improve. Second rower Justin Costello lead both the hit up count and the tackle count in a wholehearted performance
Last weekend our girls had our Second game of the season vs Grafton Ghost for round 3, winning 20 - 4 With tries from Naomi Smith, Emma Williams, Hannah-lee Mcgrady and Myself and two conversions from Hannahlee Mcgrady We are still learning and growing as a team, this game vs Macksville Sea Eagles we want to focus and work really hard in on our defence as we know they’re are a great attacking team.
After a scrappy win in round 1 & a bye in round 2 the boys went to Grafton with their tails up. After a solid start the boys ran in 5 first half try’s to lead 24-0 … after the break the boys never took there foot of the throat and ended up running out 50-0 winners!!!! All the boys had a red hot dig bring on Macksville!!

Last game we travelled up the road to take on the Grafton Ghosts which is never an easy task. After a slow start the week before against Bellingen we were determined to start strong a play for the full 80 minutes. We started well with an early try to Jackson Gisinger. Ghosts bounced back with two tries of their own and just before halftime Shayde Perham intercepted a kick, running 100m to send us into the break with a 12-8 lead. Jackson Gisinger barged over for his 2nd try midway through the second half shortly followed Nayden Simon scoring in the corner. Ghosts got one back of their own just before big Jacko scored his third try for the day giving us a 30-14 Victory with Tyler Murden kicking 5 from 5.
A much improved 80 minute performance from the boys which will give us a lot of confidence moving forward.
