Lower School News Muffins With Mom Lower school students welcomed their moms, grandmoms and special friends to school on Wednesday, March 19 for Muffins With Mom. Students shared muffins and orange juice with their mothers and enjoyed fantastic musical performances by Hannah Smith and Ryan Kennedy of the Expressions Music School, and eighth grade student Meagan Allen. A rockin’ praise and worship song was led by our very own house band featuring Heidi Sweet, Susie King, Brian Dunn, Chelsea Ledbetter and Sean Smith - otherwise known as Chef Sean of the Warrior Cafe!

Upper School News Warriors Beyond The Walls Our middle and high school students are back home after traveling around the United States and across the Atlantic Ocean. As you can see, they travelled to some fantastic destinations! Many thanks to our faculty members and chaperones for giving of their time to make sure our students were well cared for while they were away from home.

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT NEWS Warrior Track Despite being down in number with many of our athletes on class trips and on spring break, those who were able to compete accomplished much.

The third meet of the season was held at Episcopal High School and resulted in another school record being set. We have set five new school records so far this year! Logan Shearer soared to a new record in the long jump and set himself up for even greater results. He also won the 800m race competing against athletes from the largest private schools in the Houston area. In addition, Darcy Sanford set one of the top discus marks in TAPPS 3A. Our fourth meet of the season was held at the St. John’s School and there were a number of highlights: • Darcy Sanford is now ranked in the district: #2 in the 100m hurdles, #3 in the 300m hurdles, #1 for discus, #4 for high jump and #3 for triple jump.

• Rachel Earle is ranked #1 in the 100m hurdles (and has the state's fastest time), #2 in the 300m hurdles, #1 in the high jump.

• Logan Shearer is ranked #1 in the 400m, #1 in the 800m (and has the state's fastest time), and #2 in the long jump. He also matched school records in the long jump and 800m.

• Alex Yanochik set a personal best time in the 1600m by 13 seconds, and the 800m by 3 seconds.

• Bradley Fisher improved his high jump to 5'8" and is ranked #1 in the district.

• Marielle Olivier set personal best times in the 100, 200 and 400m and is ranked #8 in the district for the 100m.

On Friday, March 21 we will compete in the Crusader Relays at Concordia Lutheran School in Tomball. The meet gets underway at 3:00 p.m.

Warrior Swimming Earns State Honors The swim season may be over, but recognition of our athletes' accomplishments continues.

The Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (TISCA) has posted the private school AllState team, and we are pleased to announce that four of our girl swimmers made the list.

The TISCA recognizes the fastest 24 swims in every event, regardless of the division or school size. Hannah Bub was named All-State first team in the 100 breaststroke (4th), 50 freestyle (6th) and 200 individual medley (8th). Hailey Hanigan earned honorable mention recognition for her performance in the 100 backstroke (24th). Jordan Hanigan and Katie Albertson joined Hannah Bub and Hailey Hanigan on the All-State second team for their performance in the 200 freestyle relay (16th) and received honorable mention recognition in the 200 medley relay (20th).

Congratulations to these young ladies on an exceptional swim season!

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT NEWS Warrior Baseball

Warrior Softball

Warrior baseball has begun the all important district portion of their schedule. The team will host Rosehill Christian on Tuesday, March 25 with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The Warriors will be on the road for their next two district games beginning with a contest against St. Joseph Catholic High School in Bryan on Friday, March 28. On Tuesday, April 1, the team travels to Cypress Christian. Following this road swing, the team will play all but one of their next six games at home! Make plans now to come out and support your Warrior baseball team!

The Warrior softball team will take a break from district play when they host Houston Christian on Tuesday, March 25 at 4:00 p.m.

They pick up the district schedule again with two road games, the first against St. Joseph Catholic High School on Friday, March 28 and the second against Katy Faith West on Tuesday April 1. Upon their return, the team will play five of their last six games at home so there will be plenty of opportunities for you to come out and support your Warrior softball team.

Basketball, football, volleyball and softball programs are now open for registration!

Boys and girls in 1st - 5th grades are encouraged to participate in these exciting after school programs.
