“ It is in sharing our stories that we can help others come out of the shadows and isolation to speak their truth and share their experiences with others. “

elcome to the September’s edition of the Women Thrive Magazine. In this issue, we cover the topic of health and wellness for women. This month we dive into another unspoken topic of menopause and the challenges that women face as they approach the dreaded new chapter of hot flashes and body changes.

We women are truly incredible; not only are we able to birth life into this world but also overcome so many physical changes, withstand so many challenges and face adversities.

In this issue, we also talk more about the power of healing, forgiveness, sisterhood, relationships, intimacy, leadership and so much more Whenever I get to speak to women in our community, I hear some of the similarities in our stories as women, and the challenges we face

At times it can feel isolating going through life’s adversities alone, and so through our work at Women Thrive Media, we want to ensure that we as women have a place to discuss topics that are important to us A place where we can share our struggles and in doing so let others recognise that they are not alone

It is in sharing our stories that we can help others come out of the shadows and isolation to speak their truth and share their experiences with others

There is no shame in our struggles as this is what makes us more resilient It helps us grow and find new purpose and meaning in life And so at Women Thrive, we are about to embark on a new journey, launching our brand new TV show series where we’ll stream women’s stories on our social media platforms, live, daily Where you can tap into these conversations and be part of shaping the narrative

Perimenopause & Menopause

You Are Not Just Getting Old: Overcome Fatigue, Bloating, Brain Fog and Weight Gain

Fatigue, brain fog, bloating, weight gain, HOT flashes, night sweats, belly fat, mood swings, decreased sex drive, oh my!

Sounds like an Emmy award-winning horror movie and yet, we as women are taught that we are just supposed to tolerate these symptoms around perimenopause and menopause because they are a “normal” part of the ageing process.

The Struggle

Have you ever walked out of a medical visit feeling unheard, lost and frustrated? Well, so have I and I am here to tell you first-hand that you do not have to just settle While fatigue, bloating, brain fog and weight gain may be common, they are not “normal” and there are steps you can take to feel better Simple changes can make a tremendous impact Are you ready to take action? Let’s dive in

Old Myths

For generations, hormone changes and menopause have been a symbol of ageing, loss of femininity, loss of identity and loss of value. I actually just cringed writing that! Yikes! It’s time to change this narrative and debunk these old myths. We are entering the best years of our lives. We don’t have to settle. We are not just getting old. We can stand up and take action. As your body transitions, this is the perfect opportunity to focus on your holistic health and well-being and make changes that your body needs and wants, at this new stage of life

Goodbye Fatigue, Bloating, Brain Fog & Weight Gain

On my 49th birthday, I made a decision that being postmenopausal was not going to define me. It was not going to own me or tell me that I should just get used to feeling this way & that I was just getting old. I made a firm decision & commitment to myself that I was going to be the fittest, healthiest, happiest, most content & most successful in my career by my 50th birthday and I was going to do this without being on a crazy diet or workout plan and without being in hustle and grind. This decision was certain, I could see myself doing it and nothing or no one was going to get in my way

I am going to share with you some sciencebased habits that I use with myself & my clients to resolve fatigue, bloating, brain fog and weight gain

First Up: FOOD! Habits to Improve Fatigue, Bloating, Brain Fog & Weight Gain

If you are like most people, you probably get so confused on what to eat, especially with all the conflicting information out there Being Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition, I am not a fan of long-term restrictive diets, even though I do use food elimination diets in my practice, for a short amount of time Good nutrition is a lifestyle, not a diet and sustainability is the key The most recent research shows that eating clean & healthy most of the time(80%) leads to long-lasting change.

As we go through hormone changes, our gut microbiome diversity decreases. It is important to make sure we don’t just feed ourselves, we need to feed our good gut bacteria too.

Good nutrition is a lifestyle, not a diet and sustainability is the key.

Non-negotiable Habits:

Sit down, relax & chew

Eat organic whenever possible

Eat a rainbow of colorful food every day

Don’t skimp on protein

Eat Cold Water fish at least twice weekly

Eat fiber; a combination of soluble (for you) and insoluble (for your gut microbes)

Hydrate with water and electrolytes

Minimize alcohol

Next: Exercise/movement and Fueling for Maximum Benefit

I recognized that I could not treat my 49-year-old body the same as I did in my 20s and I did not have time to train for hours every day. I have always preferred weight & resistance exercises, although I have also competed in many endurance events The question remained, “what does my body want now?” I took a dive into the research from leading experts and was ecstatic to find that women in perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause need to lift heavy YAY!!! The goal is to evoke a response to build lean mass(muscle) and maintain & build bone density

Here are the cliff notes for exercise and fueling pre/post workouts:

First and foremost, if you are new to lifting, learn to move first, before adding weight

Lift heavy at least three days per week; You are aiming for muscle failure

Eat 20-40gm of protein within 45 minutes of the workout

You can do intense cardio, one time per week, otherwise limit cardio classes.

Fasted exercise is not ideal, as it stresses the body too much.

Finally: Take Time to Breathe, Rest, and Prioritize Sleep

Women are often so busy that they forget to breathe, let alone give themselves time to rest. One of my main focuses is to move from a “human doing” to a “human being”. There is no honor badge or prize given out for whoever sleeps the least. Instead, this will only cause more fatigue, brain fog, bloating and weight gain.

Goals:

Get 7-8 hours of sleep per night

Take nice, slow belly breaths throughout the day

Avoid eating 2-3 hours before bed

Avoid caffeine in the late afternoon

Journal Practice Gratitude

Don't sweat the small stuff

Of course, there are many, many other things that may need to be addressed such as gut health, thyroid, adrenal function, environmental toxins, etc., although it is best to start with the basics first. If you find yourself struggling, I would love to chat and discuss the work that we can do together.

A final question for you:

Are you willing to settle with fatigue, bloating, brain fog and weight gain or are you ready to take action & redefine who you want to be and how you want to feel in this decade of your life?

ThePowerofPlatonic Friendships:

How Female Bonds Can Transform Your Life

Isaw a Tik Tok the other day of two bikini-clad women running towards the ocean on a sandy beach with a caption that read “female friendships that feel like soulmates” We can unpack why they’re always in bikinis another time

My main question is, why are they always women in these memes?

You never see two dudes sitting on a couch eating nachos, with a caption reading, “Cherishing the platonic love and bond we share”

One could argue that societal expectations of who men are supposed to be, has created a male ‘friendship recession’? Or perhaps they just don’t need it as much? Or in the same way?

For me, close platonic friendships are as important as the air I breathe And as I’ve gotten older those relationships have become critical to my success and overall sanity. But not without a price.

I believe women need support and emotional connection, without physical intimacy, to thrive at our best. Platonic friendships.

We live with the daily conflict of epic contradictions We are told to be powerful, to be mothers, to be nurturing and fierce, and to soar in our careers at the same time To be thin and pretty but not care about either because we should be natural And not to age but age gracefully, and be a devoted wife and partner, but be naughty and alluring so you don’t get boring and deserve to be cheated on, but also don’t be seen as a threat And make sure you are always seen or you will live a life of never being seen and be alone forever which means you have failed at life and are irreparably broken

It’s confusing and impossible to abide by And the only way I have found to deal with living a life where those are the standards is to talk about it with my girls And tell the truth, exposing myself as the fraud I feel I am

As a proud Gen Xer, I was weaned to be both a Disney Princess and a latchkey kid. In the 70s and 80s, girls were just starting to learn about fierce independence as a right, while still being fed the idea that we had one true love who would save us from the peril of a life alone And that one true soulmate could solve it all, with one true love’s kiss #romancejunkie

So at 21 I found my true love, my White Knight, and he was my everything. He knew my secrets and my demons, and I protected his as well.

I always had friends, and we were very close, so I thought. We had each other’s back and we had each other’s front. But there was always an unsaid rule (for me at least) that we didn’t talk about our partners or spouses too much for fear of betraying them So I didn’t I kept that (rather large part of me) quiet and under wraps

You can imagine, after 14 years of keeping the realities of my relationship safely locked up, the shock on everyone’s face when my ‘perfect’ marriage ended abruptly. There was no way to hide it, and no one left to protect, accept myself. When the one person who held all my secrets, left without a forwarding address, I quickly learned the only person I was betraying by not sharing this part of my life, was myself

And, gratefully, as my friends came to my rescue and picked me up off the floor, I began to share, and talk and express all the things I had held so tightly for fear of not being perfect That I had not found my Prince Charming and, worse, I was not the Princess but the invisible house maiden with no glass slipper in sight.

Out of sheer desperation I shared, and felt, and screamed. A lot. And I realized that not only did my story revolve around me but by revealing my truth, I gave my friends the permission, or perhaps the safety, to fully share theirs with me, and it set us free

It created a depth in our relationships and a support in my life that I truly could not live without to this day

Were there a few who had little interest in this kind of connection, who said the wrong thing, did the wrong thing and were not supportive the way I needed? Of course And those people weeded themselves out rather quickly No harm and no judgement We were not in need of the same thing. And that is fine.

But those who were truly members of my tribe got it, they stuck around and my friendships with this vast group of women opened up in a way that freed me from my shame and filled so many of the holes in my heart.

But nothing of value comes for free There is a price to pay for true human connection It is honesty with oneself and with those you entrust to be in your tribe I am imperfect and at times weak and will never be a Disney Princess with one true love I am a fully-formed and very messy, flawed person doing her best in front of other human beings.

Romantic love cannot be the one true love. Asking one person to be all things to me, is unreasonable and unkind to expect. There will never be one single person or one moment that will make my life complete or a success. It is a daily decision to move forward and live as authentically as possible in front of other human beings

As I raise my daughter to be comfortable with the many sides of herself, including her Princess, now we call it her Warrior Princess, I wish for her these connections. I also wish for her romantic connections, eventually. But before all of it, I wish for her a connection with herself, with her feelings, her strengths, her vulnerability, and the creation of her tribe.

I pray she will use the good fortune of my mistakes and my efforts to teach her that we are born with holes in our heart, ones that only human connection can fill, but they cannot be filled, unless they are opened first Exposing the ugly bits you feel should never see the light of day else they send you screaming into a lonely void with daily mantras of shame and embarrassment, is an inside job. Let people see you for who you are. Let yourself out and let people in.

It is not a betrayal to talk about your life or someone’s role in it. The only betrayal is to live a life without the support system you need to navigate this world as a woman.

Because we all deserve to feel the warm sand in our toes, as we run, bestie by our side, towards the peace and serenity of the ocean. Fully exposed, in our skimpiest bikini of emotions

Menopause: How you can thrive through it

Menopause. It's just hot flashes and no periods, isn’t it?

Menopause - it's just hot flashes and no periods. Well, that’s what I understood it to be.

I hadn’t heard of perimenopause or realised that I had entered it I was trained as a nurse, working in operating theatres for 27 years, before working in occupational health.

I had heard of menopause, or ‘the change’, but didn’t really understand what it was. Well, no one talked about it Even in my late 40s, the General Practitioner (GP) I spoke to asked, ‘are you still having periods?’

I laughed, and said ‘unfortunately’. She laughed back and then changed the subject.

The first hot flashes I experienced came on while I was sitting down in the operating theatre All of a sudden, this heat started to rise from my feet, like a tap had been switched on. The heat slowly rose, over about 20 minutes, before dissipating. I sat there wondering what on earth was going on. It happened again each hour, but just in the mornings for several days

As a good nurse, I spoke to Dr Google, who suggested taking Sage Extract So, I trotted off to the health shop on my next day off and started on the sage The flashes stopped I’m not sure if it was the sage or that was all I was going to get Anyway, I thought ‘well that was easy, I’m nearly through it’.

My periods then went erratic, stopping for months. Thinking, that was me all over and done with menopause!

But they returned with a vengeance, heavier, longer and more frequent. I didn’t see the point of talking to the GP, having been years before due to bad period pain and given pain medication that didn’t work, so I just got on with it.

Over the next few years (yes, a few years), I experienced numerous symptoms: joint pain, frozen shoulders, anxiety, depression, hay fever, and changes to my bowel habits. Nothing made sense. I put the anxiety and depression down to the pandemic. But what caused the loss of confidence? Why hay fever?

I plodded on

By now, I had been doing Occupational Health assessments for a few years During one assessment, I was talking to a lady, who made an off-the-cuff comment, ‘I’m really struggling with my menopause symptoms ’ I thought, ‘How hard can it be? It's only hot flushes and no periods Then she described how she was struggling

I spoke to Dr Google again. Finding a website that listing the symptoms, I was gobsmacked! I told my client that there are 34 symptoms! She replied, ‘I didn’t know that either!’ I don’t remember my advice other than advising her to talk to her GP.

A few weeks later, menopause was mentioned again. This time I thought ‘I know a bit about this’, so I told her about the symptoms, giving her some general advice.

Something clicked, and I realised I needed to find out more But it never hit me; this was going on with ME!

My manager happened to email us with information on upcoming menopause awareness sessions, which I signed up for Listening to the speaker, the penny dropped! I was in perimenopause This was why I was feeling like I did, everything made sense

I asked the speaker about where I could get more training to help with my OH role She told me about her upcoming menopause champion course, which I jumped at doing

A few months later I was offered the opportunity to do her menopause coaching course Again, I agreed straight away! I hadn’t got a clue what a menopause coach was or did I just saw it as a way of helping other women

I completed the six-month Menopause Coaching diploma, where we were taught her signature programme – The Menopause Plan A comprehensive, holistic, seven-week programme, that dials back the symptoms. When working with my practice clients, I thought this can’t work, they are going to call me fit to burn for wasting seven hours of their life!

However, the results were amazing, they raved about how it had helped. I was gobsmacked, but so excited that I could now help others, knowing that small changes in normal daily activities can help.

My biggest regret is that when I realised I was perimenopausal I didn’t reach out for help I didn’t think there was any option other than HRT How wrong I was! I wish that I had found and completed the Menopause Plan much earlier, and had worked with a Menopause Coach back then If I did, who knows where I would be now

My advice to you:

If you are struggling with menopause symptoms, reach out for help Don’t despair if your doctor doesn’t seem to want to help you

There is a Menopause Coach who can

If you aren’t menopausal yet, get prepared, do some awareness training, so you can advocate for yourself when the time comes to get help

Prioritise time for you, allow your body to relax

Reducing your stress levels can help reduce your symptom intensity

Ensure you are fully hydrated Being dehydrated causes stress, headaches and brain fog.

Have a good sleep routine, sleep is needed to allow the body to relax and repair.

Boost connections with friends, family or loved ones to boost your oxytocin levels and reduce your stress.

"My biggest regret is that when I realized I was perimenopausal, I didn’t reach out for help."

What does vibrant wellness feel like?

I can tell you what it doesn’t feel like. It’s not waking up to your alarm, struggling to open your eyes, and groggily reaching to turn it off. It’s not the sudden rush of memories from yesterday the exhaustion that limited your activities, the persistent pain that screamed at your central nervous system, and the frustration of not being able to do what you wanted. As you turn off the alarm, those sensations flood back, reminding you that this isn’t the life you envisioned Despite trying various solutions and advice, you still find yourself back at square one, feeling like you’ve found no answers to your struggles.

You’re a woman with a big dream, a significant goal you want to achieve You have a clear vision of how you want to show up for yourself, your family, your business, and your coworkers But it’s incredibly challenging to pursue this dream when your body is weighed down by fatigue and pain, leaving you frustrated and blocked by your symptoms.

You’re not alone, my friend It’s surprising how many people experience the same struggles, yet they still go to work, power through, and hope for a better tomorrow. You encounter them every day at work, on the phone, at the grocery store. They are your waitress, your boss, and they are you But this doesn’t have to be your story forever Let me share some powerful and simple strategies to support yourself

Practice Being in Your Body:

What does that mean? For someone experiencing fatigue, pain, and constant symptoms, it’s easy to ignore, silence, or block out your body’s signals. Being present with your symptoms isn’t pleasant, but these symptoms are your body’s way of crying for help Imagine a child trying to get his mother’s attention He gently taps her arm and stands quietly, waiting for her to notice.

When she doesn’t, he taps harder, stands closer, and might make small noises or move into her line of sight If she still doesn’t respond, he grabs her sleeve and pulls, saying, “Mom, Mom, Mom ” She might glance at him and say, “One minute, please.” In desperation, he walks directly in front of her, grabs both her hands, and says, “Mom, I need you ” When your body needs help, it sends messages through symptoms Just like a child, your body has something important to communicate. It works hard to support you, but when its systems become overloaded and imbalanced, it starts asking for help first quietly, then loudly

When your body uses symptoms to communicate, it’s an act of love and selfpreservation, doing its best to get your attention It’s urging you to investigate what’s going wrong and how you can help I encourage you to be present in your body, give yourself permission to sit and notice the symptoms you’re experiencing, and ask what they are trying to tell you This might feel strange at first, but trust me, your body has a lot to say If simply sitting with your body and noticing its messages feels too confusing to do alone, please find a practitioner who resonates with you to work through this together

Forgive yourself for past mistakes.

Forgive yourself for not always listening to your body’s signals, whether it was telling you that something wasn’t right for you, that a relationship was harmful, that it was time to leave a job, or that an opportunity was perfect for you but you didn’t pursue it out of fear. Forgive yourself for these past mistakes.

Forgive your body for everything it has endured and put you through Fully forgive your body and extend that forgiveness to anyone who has wronged, harmed, or hurt you. Forgiveness is a powerful tool for recovery. We are often taught to forgive others, and you may have practiced this frequently But have you forgiven yourself? Have you forgiven your body for where you are right now?

Understanding that the symptoms in your body have a reason is crucial.

There’s always something prompting those symptoms, and it’s not just a disease name or diagnosis It’s something inside your body, often a multitude of factors, causing your symptoms It takes courage and patience to uncover these causes. Using the two directives I’ve shared, you can make significant progress. However, you might still feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about what to do next I highly recommend researching practitioners you feel aligned with to help you uncover and address these causes sustainably, creating space for your body and whole self to recover fully.

As someone who has recovered from debilitating multiple sclerosis, I understand this journey can be long, confusing, and seemingly hopeless at times But one of the most rewarding experiences of my life has been the privilege of walking the path of both illness and recovery It has become one of my greatest blessings Without experiencing severe illness and the journey to full recovery, I wouldn’t know how to guide and support my clients in their own recovery. Because of my journey, I am now an applied functional medicine practitioner, specializing in helping people unravel the causes of their illness and address them sustainably, creating space for recovery. This is my passion and my purpose.

In conclusion, you are the queen of your life journey. Your body already has every tool needed for you to be fully well, balanced, and vibrant

How will you choose today to take one step closer to your vibrant wellness?

Reclaiming Wholeness:

The Power of Holistic Healing After Abuse

As an abuse survivor, there were many times that I felt like I was merely surviving, moving through each day under the weight of invisible wounds. Every day felt the same, as though it was never going to get better or easier. This feeling is all too familiar to many after experiencing abuse. I know from firsthand experience that the constant battle with anxiety, the struggle to trust others, and the profound sense of isolation can make it seem impossible to envision a brighter future

However, as I learned, there is hope and a way to reclaim your life through holistic healing There is great transformative power in addressing the whole person mind, body, and spirit

Healing from abuse demands a comprehensive approach that nurtures every part of who we are.

Understanding Holistic Healing

Unfortunately, abuse is becoming more and more common According to the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County (DVCCC), nearly half of all women experience psychological abuse by an intimate partner and 1 in 3 women experiences physical violence by an intimate partner It is easy to see that there is a lot of healing that needs to take place

Holistic healing recognizes that humans are complex beings with interconnected aspects: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual When abuse occurs, it disrupts this intricate balance, affecting all areas of a person's life This disruption, if not addressed, becomes chronic and can go on to affect health and well-being long into the future Healing holistically means attending to each of these dimensions to restore harmony and promote comprehensive wellbeing

Physical Healing: Restoring the Body

One little known fact is that because of the interconnectedness that exists within us, any kind of abuse has an impact on our physical bodies Chronic pain, high cortisol levels, fatigue, and other health issues are common among survivors Holistic healing emphasizes nutrition, exercise, and alternative therapies like acupuncture and massage to support the body’s recovery Proper self-care and listening to one's body play vital roles in reclaiming physical health

Mental Healing: Rewiring the Brain

Abuse can deeply affect mental health, leading to issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and distorted self-perception and self-worth A holistic approach to mental healing incorporates traditional therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and newer methods like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), with practices that promote mental wellness Mindfulness, meditation, and journaling can help rewire the brain, reduce stress, and build resilience

Emotional Healing: Reconnecting with Feelings

The emotional toll of abuse can be profound, often resulting in feelings of shame, guilt, and unworthiness. Survivors may struggle with trust and intimacy, finding it challenging to form healthy relationships. Holistic healing involves recognizing and validating these emotions, and allowing yourself to feel them Techniques such as emotional freedom techniques (EFT), expressive arts therapy, and support groups offer safe spaces for survivors to process their feelings and reconnect with their emotional selves

Spiritual Healing: Finding Inner Peace

Abuse can shatter a person’s spirit, leading to a loss of faith and purpose. Spiritual healing does not necessarily mean religious practice; it’s about finding meaning, inner peace, and a sense of belonging. For some, this may involve reconnecting with nature, practicing yoga, or engaging in spiritual rituals. For others, it could mean exploring personal beliefs and values through contemplation and prayer. Spiritual healing helps survivors rediscover their inner strength, reconnect with their core values and align with their true selves

Integrating Holistic Healing Practices

Healing holistically after abuse is crucial, but it is also bio-individual - meaning that each survivor’s journey is unique. Creating a personalized plan that addresses specific needs and goals ensures that all aspects of healing are covered. This plan might include a combination of medical treatment, therapy, self-care routines, and spiritual practices. Additional ways to support healing include:

Seeking Support Networks:

Community and connection are vital for healing. Joining support groups, engaging with empathetic friends and family, or finding a mentor can provide encouragement and understanding Professional support from therapists and holistic practitioners can guide survivors through their healing journey

Cultivating Self-Compassion:

Healing is gradual, and setbacks are a part of the process Practicing self-compassion helps survivors to be gentle with themselves, acknowledge their progress, and remain patient Affirmations, self-care activities, and celebrating small victories can foster a positive outlook

Embracing Continuous Growth:

Holistic healing is not a one-time fix but a continuous journey of growth and selfdiscovery Encouraging survivors to stay curious, seek new experiences, and be open to change can help them evolve and thrive beyond their past experiences.

The Transformative Power of Holistic Healing

Healing holistically after abuse is about reclaiming control, restoring balance, and finding joy in life again It empowers survivors to not only heal their wounds but also to emerge stronger and more resilient By addressing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of wellbeing, holistic healing transforms lives, allowing survivors to move forward with confidence and hope Holistic healing is not just a path to recovery; it’s a journey to reclaiming wholeness and living a fulfilled, empowered life - something we all deserve

In today's fast-paced world, STRESS has become an omnipresent force in our lives, often leading to severe mental and physical health issues These are the two main reasons for long and short-term sick days from work

Unlike our ancestors, who experienced stress primarily as a short-term response to immediate dangers, we now face chronic stressors that linger indefinitely This shift has significant implications for our well-being, making it crucial to understand why stress has become such a pervasive problem and how we can address it effectively

The Evolution of Stress: From Survival to Chronic Strain

Historically, stress was a survival mechanism. When faced with threats, our bodies would enter ‘fight-or-flight’ mode, releasing adrenaline and cortisol to prepare for action. These hormones are not ‘bad’ we need them to help us get out of bed in the morning, to get to the station on time to make the train, to leave the house and get food, The natural ‘survival’ acute stress response is crucial for overcoming immediate dangers.

THE PRODUCTIVITY OBSESSION MEANS WE ARE ADDICTED TO STRESS

However, the nature of stress today has changed dramatically Instead of short bursts of stress, we now endure prolonged periods of pressure due to work demands, financial concerns, social expectations, and more This CHRONIC stress is what is making us sicker and fatter than ever before

PARENTS, TEACHERS & WORK...

Have all conditioned us to believe that we have to be productive to be accepted and acceptable

If you were a teen staying in bed until noon on a weekend you were probably told you were ‘lazy’ thanks to parents’ lack of understanding how teenage bodies and brains function

Or perhaps you have used video games to ‘destress’ after work or school and have been told you are ‘wasting your time’

In others words, the underlying message or interpretation is that if you're not ‘doing’ something seen by others to be productive, YOU are a waste or time, YOU are lazy, not the behaviorYOU the person

So you try harder, work more, strive to ‘be better’ This idea that you have to cram every waking hour with things to do, that sitting and doing nothing, which is a necessity not a luxury, is somehow ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’ means that you are addicted to ‘doing’ instead of ‘being’.

OUR OWN THOUGHTS ARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST CAUSES OF STRESS

One of the most insidious aspects of modern stress is how our own thoughts contribute to it Negative thinking patterns about ourselves, about our situation, about our own feelings, can create a cycle of stress that perpetuates itself

When we dwell on negative thoughts, our brain releases a cascade of stress hormones Over time, we can become biochemically addicted to these stress hormones This addiction keeps us locked in a cycle of negative thinking and stress, leading to a life that feels increasingly unmanageable and unhappy

Our thoughts are powerful When we repeatedly think negative thoughts, our brain reinforces these pathways, making it easier to fall into the same thought patterns again. This biochemical addiction means that even when we recognize the harmful impact of our stress, we may find it challenging to break free from it, so we often look for relief elsewhere.

ADDICTED TO THE SOLUTION

Food, drink, porn, drugs, gambling, shopping, and exercise, become our ‘stress-reducing solution’ that DO WORK temporarily, then add to the chronic stress on body and mind, as they in and of themselves can lead to thoughts of guilt and shame, creating a different but still addictive biochemical cocktail we become addicted to

Fueling the Fire of Inflammation and Hormonal Imbalances

Beyond our thoughts, our lifestyle choices significantly impact our stress levels. Poor diet, lack of exercise, inadequate sleep, and excessive screen time all contribute to chronic stress These factors can lead to inflammation in the body, which exacerbates stress and creates a vicious cycle. For instance, a diet high in processed foods (flour, sugar, salt, fat, colors, additives & preservatives) can cause inflammation, which in turn can lead to hormonal imbalances and increased stress

In addition, these lifestyle choices disrupt our body's natural rhythms and biochemistry BIG TIME!

Lack of sleep, for example, affects the production of melatonin and cortisol, further perpetuating stress

Similarly, lack of movement and exercise reduces the production of endorphins, the body's natural stress relievers, making it harder to cope with daily pressures

Why "Managing Stress" Isn't Enough

The common advice to ‘manage stress’ often falls short because it implies that this type of stress is an inevitable part of life that we must simply learn to cope with However, managing stress is like putting a Band Aid on a wound without addressing the underlying cause.

To truly improve our mental and physical health, we need to focus on eliminating or reducing the sources of stress and changing how we perceive it This is what I offer to companies and business owners who have the foresight to recognize that if they want a happier, healthier team, who rarely get sick and enjoy their work because they are not being treated like a 'production line' but as individuals, who work best when they feel good, they need to TRANSFORM how they deal with stress

Managingstressislikeputtingabandaidonawoundwithoutaddressingthe underlyingcause.

“Happier,healthierteam,whorarely

Transforming Our Relationship with Stress

Create a Healthy Lifestyle Culture: Ditching the vending machines, the tea and biscuits every two minutes, coffee and cake mid-morning and afternoon, and ‘let's get hammered after work’ culture goes a long way to reducing physical and mental health issues and time off sick.

Companies that thrive are offering alcohol-free events and prioritising physical activity, sleep, rest, laughter and fun. These changes can help reduce inflammation and restore hormonal balance, making it easier to handle stress.

2.

Connection, Clear Communication and Support: Build strong social connections and seek support when needed. Open clear communication is key in companies as is being able to talk to friends, family, or a health professional or coach who can provide relief and perspective, helping you navigate stressful situations more effectively

3

Purpose and Passion: Engage in activities outside of work that bring you joy and fulfillment

Pursuing your passions can provide a sense of purpose and reduce the impact of stress on your life

Stress is undoubtedly a major contributor to the mental and physical health issues we face today By understanding the role of our thoughts, lifestyle choices, and the need for a fundamental shift in how we approach stress, we can begin to break free from its grip Rather than merely managing stress,

We should aim to transform our relationship with it, leading to a healthier, happier life.

I am a Health Coach, Consultant & Mentor If you have been inspired or intrigued by this article and you or your company are ready to TRANSFORM how you deal with stress and stop dabbling in ‘managing it’, please do get in touch with me about how I can help you and your business thrive

In the journey toward holistic health, understanding the intricate relationship between the body and mind is paramount. Our bodies possess an extraordinary ability to communicate with us, often through subtle signals indicating imbalances or stress. Recognizing these cues and taking proactive steps toward restoration can be transformative. In this article, we explore the fascinating interplay between our bodies and our environment, and how essential oils, with their potent therapeutic properties, can aid in restoring balance and vitality to our lives

Listening to Your Body:

The human body operates as a complex ecosystem, constantly striving for equilibrium. However, the stresses of modern life, coupled with environmental factors, can disrupt this delicate balance, manifesting as physical or emotional dis-ease. Symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, digestive issues, or mood fluctuations are not merely random occurrences; they are signals from the body, urging us to pay attention and take action

Understanding these signals involves tuning into the body's innate wisdom It requires mindfulness and self-awareness to decipher what our bodies are trying to tell us Whether it's persistent muscle tension, recurring bouts of anxiety, or unexplained skin irritations, each symptom carries valuable information about our overall well-being

The Role of Essential Oils:

Essential oils have been cherished across cultures and continents for millennia for their energetic and therapeutic properties They offer natural remedies for a myriad of physical and emotional ailments Distilled from aromatic plants, these concentrated extracts contain a rich array of bioactive compounds that interact synergistically with the body, resulting in profound effects on both physiological and psychological levels

Essential oils are commonly used to support health and well-being. The most frequent methods of use are topical application or inhalation. When using topical application, essential oils should always be properly diluted (9–13 drops per half ounce) in a carrier oil.

This enables the oils to absorb through the skin and into the bloodstream, targeting specific areas of pain, muscular discomfort, tension, or other distress. Inhalation methods include diffusion or direct inhalation by inhaler, allowing the aromatic molecules to penetrate the limbic system of the brain and the respiratory system, influencing mood and promoting relaxation

Restoring Balance with Essential Oils:

One of the remarkable qualities of essential oils lies in their ability to adapt to the body's needs, exerting balancing effects on multiple levels. For instance, lavender oil, renowned for its calming properties, can soothe frazzled nerves and promote restful sleep. Peppermint oil, with its invigorating aroma, offers relief from headaches and nausea while boosting mental clarity and focus

Similarly, oils such as eucalyptus, tea tree, and lemon exhibit potent antimicrobial properties, making them invaluable allies in supporting the immune system and warding off seasonal threats

The gentle floral scent of chamomile oil can alleviate feelings of tension and anxiety, fostering a sense of tranquility and emotional well-being

Empowering Wellness:

Incorporating essential oils into daily self-care routines can be a powerful tool for nurturing overall wellness Whether creating a calming atmosphere with a diffuser blend, crafting a soothing massage oil, or formulating a personalized skincare remedy, the possibilities are endless However, it is important to approach their usage mindfully, respecting their potency and individual properties, and following essential oil safety guidelines, particularly when it comes to children.

It is critical to understand that “less is more” when using essential oils, and “more is not necessarily better.” You do not need more than a few drops of essential oil, even if you think you do. These oils are highly concentrated; some require as few as seventy-five pounds of flowers to produce a kilo of oil. Pure rose essential oil, however, uses 10,000 pounds of rose petals to produce just one pound of essential oil, and there are variations along the way. The key point is that essential oils are highly concentrated.

Holistic health encompasses more than just the physical aspect; it includes mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions as well. Cultivating practices such as meditation, yoga, or journaling can complement the therapeutic benefits of essential oils, fostering a deeper connection with oneself and promoting inner harmony

In the journey toward overcoming dis-ease, our bodies serve as our most trusted guides, offering valuable insights into our well-being By listening attentively to their signals and embracing the restorative power of essential oils, we can embark on a path of healing and transformation Let us honor the wisdom of our bodies and harness the gifts of nature to cultivate vibrant health and vitality in every aspect of our lives

Does controlling targets, strategies, and measurable outcomes feel intuitively right to you? Do you have a business persona and a personal one that are poles apart? How much do you let controlling your life control you? To truly evolve, you need to take creative leadership to pivot business strategy

If you hold on too tightly to traditional ideas around control, you might find that you become locked into a mindset or situation without much flexibility What should be moving parts that are malleable to changeable drivers and influencers, become rigid and unwieldy Instead of bending to evolving demands, your business plans can break at a crucial time, leaving you activating damage control rather than progress Creative leadership, on the other hand, enables you to ride the peaks and troughs of running a business far more smoothly and fluidly. Embracing creativity in leadership connects pivotal moments and gives you the mobility to create them, too.

“Creative leadership enables you to change direction, transform, and ultimately seize new opportunities To attain it you have to let go of control.”

Creative leadership begins with EQ

Creativity isn’t just a buzzword for creatives It’s a sound principle that also acts as a catalyst for business opportunities through creative leadership. It intrinsically means approaching business with an open-minded core philosophy that creates space for innovation to take root and ideas to evolve.

To embrace this ethos, you need to look beyond stats and facts, channel your EQ, and use a more personal, and personable approach. You need to not only read the room but feel connected to it. This leads you to find your unique style. Once you lock into this, you can channel your individuality through greater awareness, empathy, and communication.

Female entrepreneurs are regarded as being more intuitive than their male counterparts. It could be that they are simply more practiced in tapping into this superpower

How creative leadership enables you to pivot

As you connect with this power, possibilities grow because you are broadening your networks You are also challenging self-limiting beliefs This brings a wider landscape of business strategy routes and the navigation skills to explore them If one road closes or turns into an uphill struggle, you have better access to alternative ways forward

“Creative leadership taps into a more fluid momentum that you can mobilize more easily than with a fixed journey. As a result, you can pivot more easily and change direction, speed, and scale more efficiently.”

By following your gut, along with your professional experience, you can craft more organic and authentic business strategies For brands, this ability to pivot in multiple directions in various spaces at different times is essential Consumers are seeking branding messaging that resonates with them

As well as motivating individuals and team dynamics, and potentially boosting productivity, creative leadership acts as a catalyst for change The process, or strategy, becomes an important part of business goals Creativity opens the doors to taking calculated risks and left-field thinking which oil business strategy mechanisms. It informs relationships within corporate culture, as well as with B2B clients and stakeholders, and also consumers. Methodology and results are also impacted by the ease with which you can pivot.

“Creative leadership acts as a catalyst for change.”

How to access creative leadership

Once you have made the connection between creativity and unfolding business strategy this will guide you as to when to pivot. Beyond this, you can know how to manage change, too. Here’s how you can access this leadership style:

Be present and mindful in the moment. Do not multitask. Women are used to spinning several plates at the same time in every aspect of life. Take moments of pause and dedicated focus, too. Let your instinct and intuition have a voice and learn to listen. Value creativity as a business asset rather than an add-on. Unleash your imagination with a vision board

Be more people-focused and communicative to improve corporate culture and respond more naturally to clients and/or consumers in different ways

Check in with business strategies and your visceral reactions at a macro and micro level is key Your experience, skills, and EQ-inspired creativity are valuable so do not ignore them

Keep in mind that a creative approach does not negate tying down fundamental elements of strategies or defining goals Creativity may illuminate the way but do not forget to map out the direction Expressing yourself differently in business does not equate to losing sound principles such as accountability, sustainability, and measurability

These support a sense of balance and keep business strategies in check

Often, one of the biggest obstacles to any type of change is unwillingness. This isn’t born out of stubbornness, but more that taking that first step toward doing anything difficult isn’t the easiest. It is the most important, though. Fear, pride, or a mixture of the two can keep you in the habit of following the same patterns. To let go of control, you need to take control of it first.

As a young girl, life was difficult Raised by parents who partied all the time and put themselves first I always tried to fight for their attention and hoped that they would acknowledge and love me. Years later, I realized that my efforts were useless Darkness was always there, fear, hiding in my closet, no love, no light

Leaving the family home and creating a life for myself was my best hope for happiness I met a man who truly loved me; we married, had 2 beautiful boys, a house, 2 cars Life was everything I dreamed of, yet the darkness persisted. I used alcohol as a means to get out of the darkness, it only made things darker for me My anxiety increased as did my need for more alcohol Throughout these years, I was a functioning alcoholic. I was a good mom (or at least the best I could be with this disease), I had a terrific career in sales, from the outside everything appeared to be just fine

Then one night on July 14, 2015, all hell broke loose. I drove drunk and hit a parked car down the street. I was arrested and charged with a DUI. My husband picked me up from jail As I write this, it still makes me sick to my stomach Thank God I didn’t hurt anyone I have been sober since July 15, 2015.

In the spring of 2018, I had pain in the perineum area I went to the doctor and he said I had two little lesions and gave me some cream to shrink them. The pain and the lesions worsened. I went to a specialist who surgically removed them and did a biopsy It was cancer It was now January 31, 2019 I was told I had to have surgery to remove the lymph nodes on both sides of the groin and that I would need 33 rounds of radiation.

During my cancer journey, Covid appeared. Our youngest grandchild was born in March 2020 right at the beginning of Covid My youngest son and his wife were terrified bringing this little guy into the world with the unknown of what Covid would do. They had a daughter who was 2 ½ and were very cautious of seeing people My oldest son Ryan had a daughter, however he was estranged from her She lived with her mom, stepdad and 2 siblings. Our 3 grandchildren were our biggest priority during this time. We did everything we could to make sure we were safe to see them That meant not seeing other friends, family etc before seeing the little ones We didn’t get to see Ryan too much during Covid as he lived with his girlfriend and that meant another family that might expose us to Covid. We did however see him in June of 2021 for Father’s Day I vividly remember looking at him and noticing that his eyes were bright yellow, the color of a yellow highlighter. I was terrified. Ryan was an alcoholic. On December 6, 2021, my beautiful boy passed away from severe alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver He was 35 years old This was the darkest moment of my life

The grief was so strong, a mother should never outlive her children To help with the grief, I kept my mind busy I enrolled in courses and became a certified Crystal Practitioner I also obtained my Reiki Master Certification. During my cancer journey I had started a business selling crystal bracelets on Etsy and locally to friends and on Facebook marketplace I continued with my crystal bracelet business but included bracelets for Sobriety and for Heartache and Grief.

Today, I continue to create my genuine crystal bracelets and sell them now on both Etsy and on my own website. It brings me so much joy to hear how much they have helped others. That has given me love and light in my heart

As for the Crystal Practitioner and Reiki Master part of my life, I have decided that perhaps that was just for me to help me along in my grief.

Recently, I started a podcast called From Darkness to Love and Light It is a place where women can share their stories of Darkness to Love and Light and provide hope and inspiration to the women who might be listening. Embracing OurBody

To experience vibrant health and beauty, self-love and self-acceptance are key. We must stop fighting our body to fit into transient beauty standards. Many women find themselves in a constant battle with their body, leading to tension, energy drain, and deep dissatisfaction This struggle often stems from the belief that if their body doesn't conform to cultural beauty standards, they are unworthy of love or success In the pursuit of an ideal of perfection, many women also lose their self-confidence

Our relationship with our body is often unhealthy We fail to accept our unique shape and beauty, instead trying to force ourselves into molds of perfection through diet, exercise, yoga and even expensive aesthetic treatments This creates tension at many levels of our being From a young age, societal standards cause women to focus on perceived ‘flaws’ rather than their inherent beauty, leading to stress, energy depletion, and selfjudgment

The approach I advocate for women’s health is about becoming our own healers and seeking the truth about our well-being Misconceptions about women’s health and nutrition have become a significant source of stress, especially for highachieving women who pressure themselves to be perfect in every aspect of life.

The

invitation here is to make peace with our body to achieve vibrant health and radiate our true, unique beauty.

Embracing our body

Creating peace with our body and embracing selflove fosters the optimal internal environment for vibrant health, allowing our true selves to shine brightly. By accepting and loving ourselves we nurture a foundation of inner harmony that radiates outward, enhancing our overall well-being.

Reconnecting with our bodies and learning to trust ourselves in our food choices is a crucial step on this journey. By tuning in to our body's signals and honouring its needs, we cultivate a deeper sense of trust and alignment with ourselves. This process not only supports physical health but also nurtures emotional and spiritual growth.

When we embrace self-love and body acceptance, we create a powerful ripple effect that impacts every aspect of our lives. We become more resilient, joyful, and connected to our true essence. Trusting our body and making peace with it is not just a pathway to health; it's a journey to discovering our light and sharing it with the world

It’s also about being and expressing our authentic selves and having the courage to be vulnerable in expressing our truth If you are interested in learning more check this article: https://womenthrivemagazine com/category/self/au thenticity/

Let us move forward with compassion and grace, honouring our body as the remarkable vessel it is In doing so, we pave the way for a vibrant, healthy life where our inner light can truly shine

“Trusting our body and making peace with it is not just a pathway to health; it's a journey to discovering our light and sharing it with the world.”

In conclusion

When we stop warring with our body, we learn to listen to and trust its wisdom. We cease trying to mold it to fit unrealistic beauty standards and begin to appreciate its unique shape and beauty. We focus on the wonder of our body, allowing it to relax and respond to its needs for rest, movement, relaxation, and self-care. By understanding what truly nourishes us on all levels, we align ourselves with our passions, fulfill our purpose with energy, and radiate a magnetism for success without pressure and struggle In this state of flow, self-love and selfworth are essential for attracting abundance, including wealth, vibrant health, beauty and true love

Reflecting on my leadership journey has become essential as I step into this next chapter of my life

In the realm of leadership, particularly in politics, us women often face unique challenges and biases that can make our journey more arduous

Yet, the resilience, grit, determination, and courage required to conquer these turbulent waters often mold women into formidable leaders

My story is still unfolding, and I continue to learn along the way

Facing the challenge

From the very beginning, I knew my path would be fraught with obstacles In politics, assertiveness is often mistaken for aggressiveness, especially for women Our decisions are scrutinized more harshly, and these challenges are tough

Yet, they fuel my determination Being the eldest taught me resilience and leadership, instilling the strength to persevere and confront these biases head-on

Facing

bias head-on

Throughout my journey, I have consistently encountered bias Comments of different kinds, doubts about my competence, and critiques of my demeanor were common Some judgments and stereotypical comments were blatant, some were not so overt

Despite these challenges, I chose to confront them head-on I realized that every biased remark was an opportunity to demonstrate my worth and capabilities I credit my upbringing in this next point

The Importance of self-belief

One of life’s transformative lessons for me is the power of self-belief. Navigating environments that aren’t always welcoming demands that you be your own staunchest advocate. This belief in oneself was instilled in me from a young age by my mother.

She balanced reprimanding me with celebrating my successes, always ensuring I never felt inadequate or undervalued Her unwavering support taught me to disregard the need for validation from doubters and instead focus on my goals and the positive impact I aimed to achieve

Though there were times when I felt depleted and even experienced my first bout of hypertension three years ago, I learned to trust that these challenges would pass This mindset has often reassured me that everything will be alright, liberating me from spiraling into negativity and consistently empowering me

Tuning out the naysayers

Criticism and naysayers are inevitable, but I’ve learned not to let them dictate my actions or thoughts I’ve encountered countless people who were quick to point out why I wouldn’t succeed or why my ideas were flawed

Over time, I realized that these naysayers often spoke from a place of fear or ignorance By tuning them out and staying true to my vision, I’ve been able to push forward and achieve my objectives

Building a support network

While it’s important to ignore the naysayers, building a supportive network is equally crucial. Surrounding myself with loved ones, mentors, colleagues, and friends who believe in my vision has provided me with the strength and encouragement needed to keep going Their unwavering support has been a cornerstone of my journey

Leading with empathy and strength

Conquering politics as a woman leader has taught me the delicate balance of leading with both empathy and strength. It’s possible to be compassionate while making tough decisions. This balance not only earns respect but also fosters a more inclusive and supportive environment for those around me

Mother’s wisdom: it’s all but a

title

One of the most impactful pieces of advice I received came from my mother. She told me, “It’s all but a title, and it’s best to see it that way.”

This wisdom has kept me grounded and reminded me that true leadership is about action and integrity, not the title you hold.

My Conclusion: be in the moment and thrive in your journey

To all the aspiring women leaders out there, remember that the path may be challenging, but it is also immensely rewarding Thrive in your journey, face the biases head-on, and believe in your capabilities. Tune out the naysayers and surround yourself with a very supportive network. Lead with empathy and strength, and never let fear dictate your actions. Your journey is your own, and it is one worth embracing with pride and confidence.

Conquering politics as a woman leader is not about proving your worth to others but about knowing your worth and letting your actions speak for themselves. Keep pushing forward, and let your success be the loudest response to those who doubt you.

Overcoming Obstacles: Recurring Issues in Life and Business

We Must Diagnose Accurately

n our journey through life, whether in careers or relationships, we inevitably encounter obstacles impeding our goals These pesky derailments include difficult people, technology troubles, and personal upheavals.

The challenge, as the adage goes, is not the obstacle itself but how we deal with it that makes all the difference.

I constantly see my clients, especially those running companies, frustrated because they’ve put a lot of time, effort, and (usually) money into overcoming obstacles only to face a constant stream of new ones. Whether a business owner or not, dealing with an obstacle in the middle of your day is annoying enough. Addressing an obstacle and then seeing it come back up again in a week or two is even more frustrating Yet, it's an experience we all share I like to call it the collective whack-a-mole of being an adult constantly putting out fires with no end in sight

Being busy and overloaded means we usually want to deal with obstacles as quickly as possible, especially when we have a mounting heap of them (someone quit, vacation plans derailed, train delays, client upsets) The desire to overcome obstacles quickly is hard-wired into our being: deal with the threat, stop the proverbial bleeding now!

Our quick acting is useful for dealing with obstacles in the current moment, but if we don’t take the time to identify if our solution is viable long-term, the obstacle may rear its ugly head again.

We must ask: is it a problem or a recurring issue? Every problem has a solution something that solves it quickly and simply for a long period, if not forever.

Spilled coffee on your shirt? Change your shirt problem solved. Computer crashed? Get a new one problem solved. Car battery died? Get a jump problem solved. Unfortunately, these quick one-and-done problem/solution combinations are not the stuff life is made of, especially in scaling your business.

Most obstacles we encounter are and will always be recurring issues to deal with. The faster we can accept this fact, the happier and more productive we will be

Tackling Recurring Issues

1.

Describe: Describe the obstacle. Be specific so that you can narrow down the core issues or causes. Sometimes there are many possible reasons for an obstacle to reoccur Start with the simplest explanation and work from there

Dealing with Recurring Issues

Simply put, overcoming obstacles with recurring issues requires a consistent system or process.

While it can take time to figure out exactly what system or process is needed to deal with a recurring issue, the benefits of doing so outweigh any front-end investment of time and effort. From having more order (and peace) in your family or company to minimizing derailments caused by the no longer ‘unforeseen’ obstacle, systems and processes will increase effectiveness hands down.

The Hallmarks of Recurring Issues

The obstacle has occurred multiple times (the period can range from a week to 6 months)

The obstacle is likely to occur again even if it has not reoccurred yet The solution is complex on some level; it requires multiple people or steps to deal with it.

The order of operations to overcoming obstacles matter; if the order is not followed, the obstacle can become worse.

2

Investigate: Ask around Have others experienced this obstacle? How are they dealing with it? If you have a team, ask for their input on how to deal with it

3

Implement: Consider what you need to implement a system or a process (or both) A system is the overall ‘thing’ or core element you're looking to have and/or implement in your business or life The processes are all the things you do to make any given system work most efficiently To implement the solution, tell people what the new way of handling these obstacles will be Make sure you train others to follow the new system or process

4

Execute: Following the system and process is by far the hardest part In the craziness of business and life, you will be tempted to go quickly and skip steps don’t! When you don’t follow the systems or processes you created consistently, you put yourself and your team/company in a position where confusion and friction can arise. Stay the course!

5.

Analyze: How is the system or process working? Do you need to make adjustments? Consider if it’s not working due to a lack of follow-through or if there is something legitimately that can be improved.

6.

Document: Finally, write down the details of the system or process. This helps others fix the same problem in the future and keeps a record of what worked and what didn’t.

In the ever-evolving landscape of entrepreneurship, the journey towards success is akin to navigating a labyrinth of challenges and opportunities For mothers venturing into the realm of business ownership, this path is often fraught with unique complexities, balancing the demands of family responsibilities with their professional aspirations

As a dedicated business coach specializing in guiding moms towards their entrepreneurial sweet spot, I've had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformative power of aligning expertise, emotions, and earnings

At the core of my methodology lies the belief that true success in entrepreneurship stems from a harmonious alignment of these three fundamental factors It's not merely about starting a business; it's about embarking on a journey of self-discovery, where passion intersects with purpose and profit.

Kat Holden's poignant insights, as shared in her enlightening January 2024 article, 4 Insights Into Owning Your Genius, strike a chord with this approach Holden emphasizes the pivotal role of authenticity and values in shaping one's career trajectory This resonates deeply with the essence of my methodology – guiding women to harness their inherent strengths and passions to establish businesses where they emerge as undisputed experts When entrepreneurs operate from a place of authenticity, they exude a magnetic presence that attracts clients who align with their genuine passion and expertise.

Furthermore, Keely Peirce's illuminating feature in the April issue, Maximizing Business Potential, underscores the significance of embracing one's true self in the entrepreneurial journey. Peirce aptly highlights that genuine differentiation arises from embracing and celebrating individuality This aligns seamlessly with the emotional aspect of my methodology.

“True success isn't just about what we achieve; it's about who we become in the process.

By embracing their authentic selves, moms-turnedentrepreneurs infuse their businesses with a unique essence that distinguishes them in competitive markets This authenticity not only cultivates a loyal customer base but also fosters a profound sense of fulfillment and purpose in their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Building upon these insights, Wanda Lovale's astute observations in Position Your Personality For Profit, featured in a previous issue, underscore the importance of aligning expertise with personality in entrepreneurship. Lovale rightly contends that success in business isn't about conforming to a predetermined mold; rather, it's about leveraging individual strengths and traits to create something extraordinary. By embracing and honoring their authentic personalities, moms can unlock untapped potentials and capitalize on their innate abilities to forge genuine connections with customers on a deeper level

Moreover, the essence of my methodology extends beyond mere theoretical concepts; it's a holistic approach that encompasses practical strategies and actionable steps tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of each mompreneur. From identifying their areas of expertise to nurturing their emotional resilience and crafting sustainable earning models, my coaching framework empowers moms to navigate the intricacies of entrepreneurship with confidence and clarity.

In essence, aligning expertise, emotions, and earnings isn't just a formula for success; it's a transformative paradigm shift that empowers moms to reclaim their narrative, redefine their professional identities, and chart a course towards entrepreneurial fulfillment. It's about creating businesses where passion fuels purpose, authenticity breeds connection, and success is measured not just in monetary terms but in the profound impact made on lives and communities.

As we embark on this journey together, let us embrace the power of alignment and harness the full spectrum of our talents, passions, and aspirations to build businesses that not only thrive but also inspire and uplift others. For in the realm of entrepreneurship, true success isn't just about what we achieve; it's about who we become in the process.
