What is Cleaning for a Reason?
Cleaning for a Reason provides free home cleaning to patients battling cancer. When cancer makes life at home difficult, our trusted network of residential cleaners, cleaning industry volunteers, and community volunteers come together to support cancer patients and their families.
Since 2006, Cleaning for a Reason and its partners have provided free home cleaning for more than 43,000 cancer patients and their families across all 50 states and Canada. These services are valued at more than $14.1 million.
What does it mean to you to be a partner with Cleaning for a Reason?
Our mission at Jeannie Cleaning is to “Make Lives Better, In All That We Do.” We want to help take away some stress from people who face health challenges. Time is a precious gift, it should be spent with family and loved onesnot cleaning.
Jeannie Cleaning became a partner with Cleaning for a Reason in 2018. Since then, our caring team of cleaning professionals has had the honor to clean for 45 patients and donate over $11,000 in free cleaning visits. Our 3rd Annual Cleaning for Cancer Week will take place October 11-15, 2021. During this time it’s our goal to serve up to 10 cancer patients and raise awareness and funds in support of Cleaning for a Reason.
How does having a clean home impact cancer patients? Maintaining a clean home, while focusing on your health and spending time with family is challenging when going through cancer treatment.

Who can sign up?
Any cancer patient of any age or gender who is currently receiving cancer treatment. Cleaning for a Reason has over 1,200 partner cleaning businesses who donate their services throughout the U.S. & Canada.
How can I sign up or refer a cancer patient?
Cleaning for a Reason provides up to 2 free cleaning visits for cancer patients currently undergoing treatment. They will connect the patients with local cleaning business partners who donate their services.

Cleaning for a Reason relies on donations to connect cancer patients with local cleaning businesses who will donate their services. All funds received go directly to Cleaning for a Reason to reach more patients and provide free cleaning during their time of need. Cleaning business partners donate all of the cleaning services free of charge. Jeannie Henderson, CEO of Jeannie Cleaning has committed to raising at least $10,000 to support Cleaning for a Reason in 2021.
