Omniscient eyes penetrate our disguise, unveiling vulnerability in every shape & size.
No reason to hide when found as Christ’s bride.
No aiming to outshine or be right, focus shifts past clothes fitting loose or tight.
Less competition, more admiring our divine composition.
Transcending manmade standards & places, rising to gold secure in eternal spaces, regardless of the folds on our faces.
Heeding His call, we have it all; even weakness becomes Spirit-led meekness.
Sweet surrender to His grandeur is our ethereal allure.
Notice the sister in the shadow before dawn: straighten her crown, twirl her around, steady her on solid ground.
Whilst nourished by all flavors of gifting, true beauty flourishes in sis-lifting.

One Woman’s Journey of Overcoming Tragedy and Embracing Faith
Andrea Brown seemed to have it all, with a blissful marriage, a beautiful home, and the cars most people only dream of. But then came the day that turned her world upside down, in one devastating moment, everything she knew was shattered, changing her world forever.
In early 2010, my husband Ross suffered a lower back injury, and initially, I thought it would only require some rest, ice, heat, and pain control. I didn't know the severity of his injury. As the months passed, Ross' injury became increasingly more debilitating. What I didn't expect was six months later, he would require extensive spinal surgery. At that time, things seemed straightforward. I worked as a registered nurse and figured he would have surgery, and things would go back to normal, but things didn't happen that way.
My hopes were dashed, and my faith capsized when Ross suffered complications, which rendered him disabled. What was supposed to be a few weeks turned into months and ultimately changed our lives. I depended on my husband for everything, but I didn't know it until our lives became a shadow of what it once was. It seemed like everything we had worked for slipped away. My hope seemed to fade away like a vapor, which caused me to spiral into deep clinical depression and suffer severe levels of anxiety to the point of panic. At one point, I could no longer function at work, which only served to increase my stress and tension at home. We lost our home and cars, and I lost myself.
But God continued faithfully showing up in pursuit of my heart even when I couldn't see Him. I can see this time of stripping was a call to know and trust Him as my everything. It was an invitation to relinquish my grasp on the things of this world and be fully immersed in the Author of Life Himself. Though this tragedy happened to my husband, the Lord would use it to redeem my life.
I shed many tears during this time. I would think, "Why did this happen to us?" If God loved us, "Why did He allow this to happen?" I often struggled asking, "Where are You, God?" So many times, I was angry with God, but I didn't want to admit it. But this plea was out of selfishness so that Ross could return to work and be my everything. There were times when I remember begging God to heal Ross, even take my life, as if bargaining with Him was a means of exchange. But I desperately wanted to alleviate this painful place of suffering and lack.
Though I had accepted Jesus Christ as a child, I lacked solid discipleship, community, and teaching rooted in the Gospel. I had a warped view of Christianity that God's people would not experience suffering in this life as long as they "Did good." I wholeheartedly believed that the bad things in this life stemmed from God's anger and being out of fellowship with Him. But in many ways, I was just like the children of Israel, all too willing and longing to go back to my captivity because it was familiar and comfortable. But God has so much more for us!
This challenging season revealed my need for Jesus to transform my heart so that I would know and receive Him and walk in deeper intimacy with Him. God desired to remove the idols in my life and to liberate me in the fullest sense of the word by experiencing the power of His redemption in my heart. My husband was an idol. My career was an idol. My family, in many ways, was an idol. It didn't stop there; things such as our home were an idol, and the type of cars I drove was a place for pride to hide and self-righteousness to embed itself. Please do not misconstrue this; God did not cause my husband's affliction. All that I had experienced was an opportunity for the Lord to reveal where I had placed my trust.
During this time, everything was falling apart. My father had given my husband the book called Destined to Reign. Ross devoured every chapter and re-read it again and again. He was ecstatic. I noticed a change in him whereby he discovered a new level of peace, contentment, and hope. God was doing a work in Ross, even changing how he spoke about what he was walking through.
I eventually read a book called Right Believing, and as the verses of the Gospel washed over me, I was wooed by the Spirit. I had to find out for myself. So, I began reading the Bible and searching out scriptures on the justification that came through salvation, and I was overwhelmed by God's grace and the righteousness that comes by faith. I also connected to a Gospelteaching church and found fellowship in community. I experienced the Father's love afresh, and the engrafted word grew deep in my heart and breathed life into my spirit.
There's something so special when we experience Jesus intimately. They said to the woman, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world." John 4:42.
God could have chosen to heal my husband immediately, but I might not have received a profound understanding of the Gospel and know Him the way I do if He had. The adversity stretched and refined my faith. God helped me to confront misconceptions about Him, replacing the lies with the truth. Through it all, I experienced the transformative power of Christ's resurrection in my life.
I discovered that healing is not only for the individual walking through difficulty, but God will use the opportunity to heal those in their sphere of influence for our good and His glory. I wouldn't wish our situation on anyone, but my husband agrees; we wouldn't trade it because it brought us closer to Christ. God reframed success and victory by allowing me to experience the tension of walking through difficulty while simultaneously experiencing the fullness of joy and contentment in Him.

In any MARRIAGE, open COMMUNICATION is the cornerstone of a HEALTHY, THRIVING RELATIONSHIP. It's not just about expressing your own thoughts and feelings, but also about truly listening to your partner's perspective. HEATHER ERDMANN explores these ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS, offering insights into how couples can nurture their bond through heartfelt CONVERSATIONS and COMPASSIONATE understanding.
Whether you are waiting to be married, are a hopeful newlywed, or have been together for decades, one of the most important components of a healthy marriage is the ability to communicate regularly and effectively. This is not something that comes naturally to most of us. Considering two people coming together from different family situations and backgrounds, this area can be a source of difficulty when trying to express our wants, needs, and desires successfully. Thankfully, the Lord has given us a helpful model for communication in His Word. Let’s look more closely at how we can take practical tips from
a request made by the apostles in the Gospel of Matthew.
The disciples spent a lot of close, personal time with Jesus. They listened to His teachings and watched Him perform miracles. Yet, they did not know how to communicate with God personally, and they asked Jesus to teach them how to pray.
Our marriages can be like that, too. We spend close, intimate time together with our spouse building homes and lives together, yet often we don’t know how to communicate with the person with whom we are supposed to be the closest.
Our God is a communicating God. He speaks to us through His Word and prayer by the power of the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus lived on earth, He prioritized time with the Father in prayer, often rising early to be alone with Him. This shows us not only the importance of prioritizing prayer with God but of communicating regularly with our spouses as well. It is crucial to make time each day to share your heart, your concerns, and your needs for the health of the relationship.
However, sometimes we’re not always sure how to communicate effectively. When Jesus taught the disciples to pray, He gave us the Lord’s Prayer. We can use this example to communicate with God and with each other more effectively.
Jesus opened His prayer by addressing the Father and offering respect (Matthew 6:9). We too should always speak respectfully to each other in ways that build the other up, rather than being critical, harsh, or unloving. In disagreements, it’s imperative to never resort to name-calling, which causes wounds that last long after the conflict is over. It’s okay to disagree with an idea or opinion—but never to be critical of the person themselves.
Next, Jesus expressed His desire for the Father’s will to be done on earth as in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Putting God’s will before our own provides a selfless example we can follow in our own marriage. By regularly asking our spouses about their needs, we can better meet them as we are able.
Jesus then asks for God to give Him “daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). It is essential that our needs are met as well. Effective communication involves a healthy balance of giving and taking. If both are focused on caring for the other person above themselves, ideally neither will go with unmet needs. God provides for us, and we can do the same for one another, trusting that ultimately everything we require will be found in Him.
We also see Jesus teaching us to ask for forgiveness and to offer it when necessary (Matthew 6:12). In a fallen world, with two sinful people joined together, we will inevitably fail each other at times. It’s a good idea to keep short accounts, seeking and offering forgiveness regularly.
Lastly, Jesus teaches us to pray to not be led into temptation (Matthew 6:13). This is where we can share any areas of stress or struggle with one another. It also offers an excellent chance to pray for each other about those areas. The world offers many temptations, and the enemy would like nothing more than to see us succumb and our marriages fail. Through mainstream media, social media, the internet, TV, and even radio, there are numerous attempts to derail our faithfulness to one another or to our Lord. Even neutral settings like our place of employment or our church can provide potential sources of temptation. But God is faithful, and through prayer and regular communication with our spouse, we can help to avoid potential pitfalls and put on the full armor of God to fight temptation when it comes.
The Lord’s Prayer offers a powerful pattern not only for our own prayers to God but also for our communication in marriage as we live out the picture of the Gospel relationship between Jesus and His bride.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, please help us to communicate with each other respectfully, lovingly, and effectively. Help us with any areas where we struggle with communication, and remind us to pray for and with one another as we bring our needs to You.
Debra George was devastated when her marriage crumbled, leaving her in emotional ruins. Yet, it’s often in our darkest valleys that strength to rebuild and renew emerges. Debra’s journey from despair to triumph is a testament to this transformation, showing how she rose from the depths of heartbreak to achieve a life of victory.
walked out on me, I thought my life was over. Swirls of emotions were going around in my mind. Where am I going to live? Who is going to love me? What am I going to do about the pain and emptiness that I feel inside? I wanted to kill myself, him, and the other woman. I thought about changing my name and moving to another country. One thing for sure, I thought life without him was not worth living. Boy was I ever wrong!
I never wanted a “valley experience,” however it was during this time that I learned the true meaning of Psalm 23.
As funny as this may sound, I have learned to appreciate the valleys of life. It was during my nearly four-year separation and then the final divorce that I learned, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” I didn’t know Jesus was all I needed until He was all I had. You see it’s in the valley where we get anointed. “He anoints my head with oil.” It’s in the valley where we are restored and made new. “He restores my soul.” It’s in the valley where we go from lack to abundance. “My cup runs over.”
One thing is for certain, Jesus never leaves us in the valley. Many make the mistake of building a hotel in the valley and there they
remain for a lifetime of misery. Valleys are not intended to live in, they are intended to go through! “Yes, though I walk through the valley…” It’s in the valley where we learn not to fear. “I will fear no evil.”
The daily pain that I felt, the rejection that tormented my mind couldn’t possibly get any worse. Fear? No way! In my estimation, this is as bad as it gets. To be emotionally out of control was just not like me. When would I stop crying? When would this hurt go away? When would I get the picture of my husband being with another woman out of my mind? When, when, when? I did not want to go on, however, I had bills to pay. I had a school teaching job I had to be at each day. I had apartment rent to pay. I had to go on.
Still, I felt like a zombie! I went from crying constantly and experiencing unbearable pain to not being able to feel anything at all. I can relate to Psalm 6:6, “I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.” At times, I was in a state of numbness. I couldn’t feel glad and I couldn’t feel sad. I simply couldn’t feel! And that was scary! To this day I don’t know how I kept my job. I was a number one basket case – no good for nothing or for anyone – so I thought!
Thank God he thinks differently about us. Our life has great value. We have a purpose in life. The future that God had planned for me was incredible. Before I could step into my future, I had to be healed and let go of the past!
One of the hardest things I had to face was living alone. Just when I thought I had found the right life partner, with one BAM of the judge’s gavel, my marriage was all over with! I would cry many hours and clench my fingernails onto the wall and hold on – hoping that someway, somehow this pain would be taken from me.
The day finally came. What day you might ask? The day when I began to walk out of my valley. As I was leaving the valley, I had a big smile on my face. I was laughing hysterically. I was not the same person that went into the valley. I went in depressed, suicidal, rejected, and weak. I was coming out full of joy, strong, and a fighter for my God. I went in defeated and a victim. I came out victorious and a victor! Do you know why? When I was departing from the valley, I heard two sets of feet walking behind me. I thought to myself, “Who could this be? I thought I was in the valley by myself.” As I glanced behind me for just a second, I saw GOODNESS AND MERCY walking behind me. Thank God I’m not alone. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”
I went into the valley broke and I came out rich! Rich in my relationship with Jesus Christ! I refused to let the devil win. After all, the devil is a liar. I GOT ALL OF MY STUFF BACK AND MORE! You see sometimes we
don’t need our old stuff back when we serve a God who will give us all new stuff.
I got my joy back. I got my peace back. I got my dignity back. I got my self-worth back. Now I travel all over the world telling others how they can get all of their stuff back and more!
What I learned in the valley, I wouldn’t trade for all of the riches of this world. No, my husband never came back home like I hoped he would. No, the other woman never asked for my forgiveness as I thought she should. No, my plans didn’t work out at all. I learned that I had to trade my plans in exchange for God’s plans for my life and if I had it all to do again, I wouldn’t change a thing! It’s in the valleys of life where we grow. It’s our enemies, not our friends that make us strong! Our enemies force us on our face to cry out to our God. This is where we are changed by Jesus Christ forever! Thank God that He is a lot smarter than we are.
No matter what trial you are going through, God will bring you out! To get
from the valley to the mountain tops of life I learned to:
1. Stay in church. You need the strength of other believers. (Hebrews 10:25)
2. Pray like there’s no tomorrow. You don’t need a formula to pray, just pour out your heart to your God. (John 14:14)
3. Read your Bible. You don’t have to understand it all. You need God’s word to keep you strong. (II Timothy 2:15)
4. Stay in a normal routine as much as possible. When you’re in a storm, don’t make hasty decisions. God will lead you every step of the way. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
5. Get busy living! Don’t lay down and die! Refuse to let the devil win. Get your boxing gloves on and fight. With God on your side, you will win every time!!!! (Ephesians 6:10-18)
The rest of your days are the best of your days. I see you in your future and you look a whole lot better than you do now. Go ahead, smile, laugh, and give the devil a nervous breakdown. You are a winner. Hold your head up high for your future is bright!
Before I was saved it was difficult for me to make decisions. Picking up my cell phone to call a friend for advice was a habit I truly needed to break. After accepting Jesus, I learned that He could guide me to make wise decisions. The phone calls to friends became less frequent, and I relied on the Holy Spirit’s help. Who is the Holy Spirit you may ask? In John 14:16, it says,” I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” The Holy Spirit lives inside us to guide us in our daily walk in life.
THE BIBLE AS YOUR ROADMAP
Also, I had a strong desire to read the Word of God. I would dive into the scriptures in the early hours of the morning. I felt as if God was speaking directly to me. Reading the Word of God helped me to hear His voice. Learning to consistently read the Bible is key when desiring to hear from God. It also allows the Holy Spirit to recall His Word which can lead you in the right direction when situations arise. In John 14:26, it says, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said to you.” Jesus is the Word and speaks through it giving insight relevant for life. The Bible is a roadmap to help us navigate our journey in life today. ALIGNING WITH GOD’S WORD BOOST SUCCESS AND
When I need direction in my life, I ask myself, “Does it line up with the Word of God?” A good scripture for direction in life is found in Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” So, we must be confident in the Lord’s wisdom not our own. When we recognize that God is real and that He holds all authority in His hands our faith in Him increases. Let Him know in your own words that you need His guidance.
THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF DAILY SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
We should also add meditation into the equation when seeking direction from God. In Psalms 1:1-2, it says, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” This Psalm instructs us not to take advice from morally wrong people. If we need guidance, we can never go wrong by going to the Word of God. Next, we are to meditate or ponder on the Word of God. For
example, look up scriptures about your situation. Let’s look at Psalm 119:105 which says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Sit in a quiet place and say this scripture out loud several times. Carefully consider what this scripture means and how you can apply it to your life.
Lastly, when desiring to hear from the Lord, prayer is necessary. I like to pray early in the morning or late at night due to fewer distractions. Ask Him for His wisdom regarding your situation. Remember to take time to listen after asking him for direction. Having a journal next to you is helpful if the Lord speaks something to you; jot it down. Also, finding scriptures about those who have sought God for direction is so encouraging. In Jeremiah 42:2-3, the commanders of forces asked Jeremiah to pray to the Lord thy God to show the people of Judah which way to walk and what they should do. In those biblical days, they went through a prophet for direction for life. Today, we can have direct access to God for direction through Jesus, so use your source; He is waiting to speak to you.
Lloyd Burrell – Worship Leader, Singer, Songwriter shares his experience on his first mission trip to India
Let me ask you a rhetorical question? What does My Hope India Purpose Driven and the Alpha Course have in common? The answer, Evangelism. God says, “Go in the strength you have...and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
One week before our Alpha Conference in India an elder is shot dead! Our conference is compromised and the mission is thrown into doubt. However, our Pastor decides that we should still go and be an encouragement to the brothers and sisters out there in Kashmir and bring them along to the Jammu Conference instead.
As this journey began, I reflected upon my own experience of becoming a Christian and the life that has led me along this path. As part of a group of six people, two lawyers, an accountant, a Pastor, and his wife and there was me, lagging behind, nervously excited and trying to remember my training about India and its customs.
We travelled out together to an Alpha Conference in Jammu and Kashmir. Alpha is a 10-week course looking at Christianity headed
up by Holy Trinity Brompton church in Knightsbridge, London. I really did not know what to expect. Once we touched down in New Delhi Airport, there was a sense of a new chapter beginning not just for me but for everyone else as well. This journey was about to change our lives forever.
Having cleared customs, I don’t think one is really quite ready for the onslaught of the hustle and bustle and busyness of New Delhi the capital of India. The most exciting cab ride I’ve ever had in my life, which felt like dodgems. Every road safety rule was broken and let’s not forget the consistent honk-honk of the horns. There was an immediate sense of Colonial Britain and the infrastructure that was left behind some sixty years ago. It was so wonderful to be able to hear, taste, smell, and see a little bit of the culture, architecture, and most importantly the people.
God’s economy is perfect, supernatural, and true. God is creative about meeting the needs of others. God never fails and He is no respecter of person, He will use any of us who is available to Him. The Alpha Conference in Jammu was a testimony to God’s provision in clearing the bad weather conditions for our flight from Delhi to Jammu. Our team was able to proceed with the conference as scheduled. The people in Jammu are friendly, warm, hospitable and clearly love the Lord. The atmosphere in
this small but modest Catholic Church made us feel like family. Formal introductions and welcome are complimentary with Indian culture, we were introduced as special guests from the UK.
The women and men are segregated, (a custom that originates from their former Muslim practices) whilst listening to the speakers delivering their speeches through an interpreter. The ministry and prayer were unprecedented. I was moved very much by the openness and the friendliness of the men, women, and children. I think we in the West could learn many lessons from the Indian culture.
After getting into the swing of things this conference was nearly over and the brothers from Kashmir were not able to make it due to appalling road conditions and mudslides. We decided that we as a team with our co-ordinator would go to Kashmir. We felt that it was right to go and most importantly the Lord wanted us to go. Having arrived in Srinagar, Kashmir it was obvious to all that there was an air of heaviness and spiritual darkness. A sure sign of this was the team falling out with each other, and after repentance, prayer, and confession we were able to press on ahead with the conference. We were even more aware to be more prayerful and spiritually alert.
The Kashmir Conference was much more underground and quite dangerous compared to Jammu. The brothers there are hungry for God and many were arriving incognito as the conference day progressed. Many are exMuslims, they would be considered apostates and live their life under threat.
The people in Kashmir want to be able to worship in peace but because of the strong Muslim opposition, it is sometimes a challenge. This struggle has left people wanting peace and love. The good news of the Gospel is peace and love, and losing a fellow brother through martyrdom would not discourage the Christians in Kashmir.
When I look at the people in India and their hunger for the Gospel, their desire to worship God, I became introspective about my life and myself. In a relatively safe country like England, I can worship when and where I like. My life is not compromised in any way. This visit to India was a wake-up call making me realise that I on the other hand seem to be caught up in trivial matters more than living for Christ.
Special thanks to all the people who ensured our safety and coordinated the travel through India. India has birthed modern-day apostles willing to do whatever it takes to spread the Gospel.
Mel Gibson has been asked about a potential sequel to The Passion of the Christ ever since the blockbuster’s release in 2004, which earned an impressive $370 million in the U.S. alone. While rumours of a sequel titled The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection have circulated for years, it seems that production may finally begin soon. A tentative release date of April 2025 has been suggested, though it has yet to be officially confirmed. Jim Caviezel is set to reprise his role as Jesus, with the sequel focusing on the events leading up to and following the Resurrection.
Adventurer Bear Grylls is at it again, this time teaming up with Dallas Jenkins, the visionary behind the award-winning series, ‘The Chosen,’ for what will be a nail-biting adventure in Grylls’ new series, adeptly titled, ‘The Chosen in the Wild.’
Grylls, a born-again Christian, will lead members of ‘The Chosen’ cast on daring wilderness expeditions. Along the way, viewers will get a deeper look at the actors behind the beloved characters, gaining insight into their personal faith journeys and how they face challenges in the wild.
The film industry is experiencing a notable rise in Christian and faithbased movies, fuelled by strong audience demand for inspirational content. DeVon Franklin, renowned for his work on ‘Miracles from Heaven,’ has partnered with Tyler Perry Studios and Netflix in a deal focused on delivering faith-driven stories. Their first project, ‘R&B,’ offers a modern take on the biblical tale of Ruth and Boaz, and a Netflix release planned for 2025. This collaboration highlights Hollywood's growing interest in uplifting and spiritually resonant narratives that connect deeply with audiences.
When Tracey Brough turned her back on Christianity due to church hurt, her life spiralled out of control. Seeking solace in various vices, she sank deeper into sin. But God had other plans for her, and Tracey was about to discover them.
Chasing the wind, seeing its effects but never being able to grab hold of it. For 8 years this seemed to be the pattern of my life. Looking into the world for that special something that would fulfill that deep longing for something missing. Could there be something or someone that might close that hole in my heart? I was looking for someone that could see me for who I was, not what I had been or who I hadn’t become. I longed for someone to just sit and listen to me, someone who knew my pain and understood all the injustice that had been done to me.
I had come from a family where my dad was an alcoholic and drug user. My mum was physically abusive towards me and so this caused deep pain mentally. I never felt good enough because that was the image portrayed to me growing up. I was raped at 16 and never told anyone for many years. I lost my first child, a son at 25 years old. I grew up being in the church scene most of my life. At age 18 I was married, and we ended up with 4 beautiful children after the loss of our son. I home schooled our children for 5 years then put them into school all at once. It was at that same time a church I was in had falsely accused me in front of the whole church. Our marriage was struggling, and I felt I had no purpose in life. I blamed God for the church issue and was extremely angry with Him for allowing it to happen, so I walked away from God and started worshipping Satan.
I walked away from God, but He never walked away from me. Everywhere I went in my new dark world He followed. At the time it made me angry, I just wanted Him to leave me alone. My walk of darkness led me into addictions and substance abuse. I had contemplated prostitution and tried a few times taking my life, but God always seemed to intervene. I would hear whispers of scripture I had memorized from my past and subconsciously I knew it was God reminding me He was still there chasing me through the darkness. He was relentless in His pursuit. I wanted Him to give up, but His unconditional love wouldn’t allow Him.
It didn’t matter how hard I tried to push Him away. He seemed to draw closer in all my filth, sin, and shame. His love was always a light trying to lead me back home.
My marriage was just about over, and God stepped in and showed His love through my husband. If you have ever read the story about Hosea and Gomer in the Bible that was my story. God demonstrated His love for Israel through Hoseas love for Gomer.
My husband fought for me, like I’d never experienced in my life. When he should have given up on me, and mind you, he had biblical rights because of my sin but he chose to stay and love me. It was through that love I got to see the real true love of God.
Why would such a holy God want a person like me? After all I had done by turning away from Him. I ended up giving my heart back to Jesus and He didn’t just take me back to where I stopped loving Him, He took me back to when I was conceived and when my parents had said they didn’t really want me. He showed me how He
was there at my birth with the biggest smile on His face awaiting the anticipation of my birth. This brought me so much joy and healing. He then spiritually took me through many traumatic events I’d been through in my life to that point. The bullying, the abuse, the rape, the rejection and showed me how He was with me my whole life. I had felt abandoned, and I had believed in that lie. I realized I had swarmed my mind with many lies instead of capturing my thoughts and replacing the lies in my head with Gods word.
The true love of God is something this world can’t give. We can only experience it with the surrendering of our own hearts to His good and perfect will. It was His pursuing love that drew me back to Him. The story of the woman at the well taken from John chapter 4: 5-30 where Jesus didn’t need to go through Samaria but chose to because He knew a soul needed His healing touch. He wanted me healed so I could be who He created me to be, a child of the living God. Healed and whole, an instrument in His hands.
Aleona Isakova on Art, Fashion and Faith
By
It’s not every day that a renowned fashion designer and accredited abstract artist creates a collection of 54 Haute Couture gowns inspired by the Bible. Aleona Isakova, a visionary whose stellar career in fashion and art began at an early age, had a divine revelation where she saw all the beautiful dresses featured in the collection. Driven by this vision from God, Aleona set to work, creating each gown just as she saw them in her dream. The ambitious collection of 54 gowns, which is also represents a significant financial investment, showcases Aleona's dedication and commitment to her vision.
Aleona's remarkable journey in the realms of fashion and art began at a very young age. Born in the historic city of Tbilisi, Georgia, she displayed her talent early, with one of her drawings being featured in a local newspaper at the age of four. By fourteen, she had her inaugural exhibition, paving the way for a distinguished career. By twenty-five, Aleona had presented 15 solo exhibitions, solidifying her status in the art world. At twenty-six, during a sermon by American missionaries in Moscow, she embraced Christianity, stating,
"When I paint, I worship God. I believe that beauty comes from God; true beauty is a testament to God's love and mercy."
By Yvonna
Together with a friend, Aleona established a fashion company from the ground up. The brand became famous for its high-quality and exquisite designs, showcasing haute couture collections that gained international acclaim. Prince Charles, King of the United Kingdom, praised Aleona Isakova's show in Cardiff, calling it "A blessing for the Welsh Nation."
Her recent exhibition, showcased at Liberty University in February, featured 8 of these divine gowns accompanied by her abstract paintings. The designs, named 'Garden of Eden,‘Garden of Eden,’ ‘Grace by God,’ ‘Rose of Sharon,’ ‘Bethlehem Night,’ and ‘Precious Blood of Jesus,’ among others, have captured the imagination of audiences worldwide, from Wales and London to Australia, Italy, and Israel. The exhibition is a testament to her excellence in artistry and design, with the entire collection taking a staggering five years to complete.
Aleona's fashion design qualities are unparalleled. Her creations are not just clothes but expressions of the soul, deeply rooted in her Christian faith. Her designs are unique and sophisticated, appealing to women globally. Aleona notes, “I draw clothes that express the condition of our soul, the Soul loved by the Lord.” This profound connection between her faith and her fashion sets her apart in the industry.
Aleona since 1991 to 2005, served as the Art Director of her Fashion company in Europe. After a successful career in the fashion industry, Aleona moved to the USA and dedicated herself to teaching at the renowned Christian university, Liberty, where she is a professor of fashion design and illustration. In 2022, Aleona donated her unique collection of gowns, inspired by the Holy Scriptures, to Liberty
University, and now this collection serves as an inspiration for a new generation of fashion designers. "I had a wonderful dream from God, to glorify His Name through my work and creativity, and God fulfilled it in an amazing way. Now my greatest dream is to see a whole generation of talented designers and artists using their talents for the Glory of Jesus Christ. It is time to uncover the treasures of God's gifts and bring revival to the world through beauty and love from God.
Aleona is the author of five published books. Her most notable book, ‘Song of Love,’ is beautifully illustrated with profound and insightful commentary inspired by the biblical book, ‘Song of Songs.’ Her writing, like her fashion, is deeply intertwined with her faith, offering readers a glimpse into her spiritual and creative world. In June 2024 Aleona had a solo exhibition in Venice, Italy in the famous Hotel Reali where her watercolor illustrations featured in the book of Song of Love were on display.
This fall the next part of Aleona Isakova's Biblical Gown Collection, "Genesis," is scheduled to be exhibited in DeMoss Hall at Liberty University.
Aleona Isakova's story is one of divine inspiration and artistic brilliance. Her ability to merge her deep Christian roots with her love for fashion and art has resulted in a collection that is both spiritually and aesthetically breathtaking. Through her work, Aleona continues to worship God, creating abstract paintings that reflect the beauty and essence of her faith. Her latest exhibition is a celebration of her exceptional talent and unwavering devotion to her divine calling. www.aleonaisakova.com
An interview was conducted many years ago to discuss the release of Dr. Lowery’s book, Walking in the Supernatural: Receiving Spiritual Power for a Miraculous Life. In our opinion this book is even more relevant today. Dr. Lowery was given great insight into the ‘New,’ move of God which is unfolding before us today. Published in 2007, it is a must-read for anyone who wants to comprehend the current spiritual season in which we find ourselves. Learn how to take hold of the great outpouring of God’s power, how to be utilized by God during this transformative time, and how to adapt to this new exciting lifestyle.
Dr. Lowery, what does it mean to “Walk in the Supernatural?”
First of all, we must understand that within the Church we are born again by God’s Spirit and become His sons and daughters. We are not born of a natural origin, but of a supernatural one! We are born again by an incorruptible seed. “You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm) but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God” (1 Peter 1:23, AMP).
“But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His…For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:9, 14
“And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Galatians 4:6
The Word is clear: true sons and daughters of God are led, controlled, and directed by the Holy Spirit living within them. Life in the Spirit is a supernatural life!
We serve an unlimited, supernatural God! Everything about Him is supernatural! Everything He does is supernatural!
WALKING IN THE SUPERNATURAL is not a “pie-in-the-sky” lifestyle where there is no pain or heartache and where everything we need is instantly provided. It involves down-to-earth, dayto-day living. Problems will come. Trials and testing will come. When a person is WALKING IN THE SUPERNATURAL, there is a continual flow of God’s life being manifested in and through our lives, and where there is a faith that overcomes and each test and trial is met by His power.
In Chapter one of your book, you refer to a “Spiritual Megathrust.” What is this?
On December 26, 2004, a magnitude-nine earthquake shook planet earth. According to seismologists, the force of the quake, which was responsible for the stunning Asian tsunami, was the equivalent of .25 gigatons of TNT. Geophysicists called it a MEGATHRUST, a term used for the most powerful of changes in the earth's surface.
I believe that what we saw happen in the natural realm has a parallel in the spiritual realm. A brand-new move of God’s Spirit—A SPIRITUAL MEGATHRUST is coming upon the Church. It will radically change the lives of believers and move them into the fullness of what God intends for them on earth.
The Church of Jesus Christ will enter a new spiritual dimension whereby God will release His supernatural power in the greatest manifestation of signs, wonders, and miracles the earth has ever seen. This will occur in conjunction with the preaching of the gospel to the whole world before Christ returns.
God desires to use “everyday” men and women—factory workers, business owners doctors, carpenters, lawyers, and homemakers —right where they live and work.
Christ made every provision for us to have the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit flowing through us and enabling us to accomplish the work he has given us before He returns.
The Twenty-first Century Church has reached a major turning point!
Dr. Lowery, what do you believe is the purpose of this coming “Spiritual Megathrust” and mighty demonstration of God’s miraculous power?
As great and wonderful as the awesome miracles that God manifested on behalf of Israel and as remarkable as the miracles He manifested in the early Church, I believe the Church of Jesus Christ hasn’t seen anything yet!
With all my heart, I believe the best is yet to come!
We are moving into a new and powerful time when God will reveal His glory as never before. The Church will move into a dimension and manifestation of His power and glory that is greater than anything we have ever seen or experienced.
This demonstration of His power will bring in the harvest of the nations.
This end-time ministry of the miraculous will not be limited to Church services or large evangelistic meetings but will take place on the streets, in gang-infested areas and war zones in our cities, in
drug dens, in the marketplace, in hospitals, in homes—anywhere people are hurting and enslaved to sin and Satan.
As believers move into this powerful spiritual dimension, miracles, signs, and wonders will be an everyday function of the church in meeting the desperate needs in the world.
Miracles will no longer be the exception, but the norm!
What are some of the distinguishing marks of this coming powerful new dimension and manifestation of God’s supernatural power?
In my book, I give four major characteristics of this coming manifestation of God’s power and glory that will position the Church to bring in the greatest harvest of souls the world has ever seen.
1. God will bring about radical changes in the Church to raise it to a new level of spiritual maturity and authority so that He can use it as a channel through which He can pour out His miracle-working power.
2. God will bring the Church to a new level of revelation knowledge whereby He will reveal Himself in intimate communion and fellowship. His glory will be manifested in the midst of His people.
3. There will be called-out believers who have given themselves fully to God and will be empowered to do the work of the ministry—not just well-known evangelists, pastors, teachers, and ministers.
4. As a wave of God’s miracle power sweeps across cities, nations, and continents, the world will have a final end-time witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, preached in a demonstration of the supernatural power of God, resulting in an unprecedented worldwide harvest of souls.
We cannot afford to continue denying the supernatural miracle power of God! The Israelites forgot the awesome manifestation of miracles, signs and wonders He had worked on their behalf.“They forgot His works and His wonders that He had shown them.”
Psalm
78:11
In the Church today, we cannot deny the working of miracles or relegate them to the past. Jesus said, “he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father” (John 14:12).
I give four keys to receiving revelation knowledge of the supernatural that provides a strong foundation for walking in the miracle power of God:
• Know that God has planned for you to walk in the miraculous.
• Relinquish all claims to your life.
• Know your position of kingdom dominion and walk in it!
• Take your position of power and authority over Satan!
These four keys will help you position yourself to take hold of God’s miracle power.
Dr. Lowery was deeply committed to personal ministry and mentorship, focusing on the active preservation of apostolic ministry within the Church of God and the broader Pentecostal-charismatic community. With over seventy years of service in ministry, his legacy continues through the T. L. Lowery Global Foundation based in Cleveland, TN.

How Vanessa Horabuena’s Troubled Childhood Shaped a Creative Genius
To watch Vanessa Horabuena paint can only be acquainted to watching a ballet, listening to a symphony and artist paint simultaneously. All these artistic elements merge into a melting pot of sheer brilliance. You watch as she dances across the canvas with her brush, carefully analysing each stroke, which leaves you wondering and guessing what is forming before your very eyes. It’s an experience, it’s riveting, it’s a God given gift.
Vanessa's story is not just one of artistic talent, but of resilience, faith, and the transformative power of divine intervention. From an early age, she found solace and expression in the strokes of her pencil, a refuge from the tumultuous waves of emotional abandonment that swept through her childhood. Raised in a fractured family environment, Vanessa sought refuge in her art, a silent companion in her journey of self-discovery.
At the tender age of thirteen, she encountered a profound sense of God’s presence and surrendered her heart and life to Jesus Christ. Yet, even amidst her newfound faith, the challenges of adolescence loomed large. Her parents' divorce catapulted her into a whirlwind of change, forcing her to relocate fifteen times in less than two years. It was amidst the backdrop of the sexual abuse she experienced as a child, the divorce of her parents and multiple attempts of suicide that Vanessa's faith took root. She found solace in her unwavering belief in a God who never abandoned her.
During this tumultuous time she saw glimpses of a future where her art would serve as a conduit for others to draw closer to the God. Yet, as she navigated through emotional struggles of low self-esteem and life's relentless challenges, Vanessa found herself drifting further from the path ordained for her.
In her mid-twenties, with the weight of unfulfilled dreams, she realised that things had to change and she needed help. At the church Vanessa attended, she sought spiritual counsel from Senior Pastor, Doctor Allan McCray who listened as she shared her life struggles and experiences. He offered not just words of wisdom, but practical steps towards healing and restoration, it was exactly the type of guidance she needed.
Armed with newfound resolve and a renewed sense of purpose, Vanessa embarked on a journey of rediscovery—a journey that would lead her back to the canvas, back to the very essence of her being. Through the gentle guidance of her spiritual mentor, she reclaimed her passion for painting, breathing life into her dormant talents with each stroke of the brush.
Fuelled by her love for painting and a desire to worship, she pioneered a unique form of expression—speed painting infused with the spirit of worship. At first, she was shy and unsure how to paint effectively through this new method of painting but once she allowed the Holy Spirit to work through her, painting became effortless. Today, millions view her very distinct way of painting in awe. The beauty, passion and love evident in every piece of work created.
As Vanessa herself eloquently puts it, "Our life is like a canvas, mistakes, pain, and loss can make it difficult to see what is happening. Many people question how out of proportion their life appears compared to what God has said. This is when we must hold on, and trust God. God will exalt us in due time."
Indeed, Vanessa's journey is a testament to the redemptive power of God’s grace through Jesus Christ—a reminder that no matter how broken or fragmented our lives may seem, we are all priceless masterpieces, redeemed by the hand of God Almighty, ‘The original Artist,’ and destined to shine brightly for His glory.

Aimee shares her personal story how Bible journaling gave her new insights, connections, and meanings to the Word of God.
Igrew up sitting in the pews of the church every Sunday but I never really knew God in my heart. I went to church because that was what my parents did, so I followed their lead. I was a Sunday Christian then.
In 2021, I began to reconnect with my faith and wanted to read the Bible, but it was so overwhelming; I didn’t know where to start. Then I had a dream that a demon was chasing me. I kept screaming because it was about to devour me. Then a faceless man came. He stood next to me and the moment the demon saw him, it fled and went away. The man said to me “Don’t forget the number 333,” and he was gone.
I found out that 333 is thought to be the number of divine perfection; the Trinity consists of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. According to my friend, it’s God’s phone number. I was so confused. She suggested to read Jeremiah 33:3 and prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide me.
Curious, I turned the pages of my Bible to the Book of Jeremiah in the Old Testament and there it was. God was speaking to me loud and clear through His Word. The
Bible said: “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”Jeremiah 33:3
It was then when I understood the meaning of my dream. God was inviting me to call on to Him in faithful prayer, to know Him and He’ll show me things I’ve never known.
And so, I began to read and study the Bible. I can still recall that I was reflecting on the Book of John when I started to highlight Bible verses that stood out to me. I jotted down the characters and lessons that I learned and how to apply it in my daily life. I want to keep recording everything so I can remember what God is saying to me during my quiet time with Him.
That marked the beginning of my Bible journaling journey.
Bible journaling is my personal quiet time with God for worship and prayer, and a way for me to reflect and document how God has transformed my life on the pages of my Bible.
First, you need to have a Bible. I love the ESV, NIV, CSB and NLT Bible translations. As a beginner, I found these easier to understand. I prefer a wide-margin journaling Bible which have plenty of space to scribble thoughts and prayers. I also enjoy devotional, colouring and note-taking Bibles most especially the pretty floral Bibles. They inspire me more but that’s just me - it’s all down to personal preference.
Alternatively, you can use a notebook or use any of the myriad of free Bible apps, e.g. the Holy Bible app and the Blue Letter Bible app.
Before journaling, remember that as Bible paper is typically thin and delicate, you will need to use ‘no bleed’ pens, and highlighters to avoid any smearing or bleeding through the pages. Stickers, sticky notes, washi tapes, coloured pencils, and paint can also be used.
Ensure you find a perfect time and quiet space.
Prepare your heart and mind by praying before you start.
Read a chapter or a section in the Bible and ask God to show you which Bible verse
He wants you to meditate on (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2).
Choose and highlight any verses that stood out to you. What is the author telling you? What truths have you learned? Who are the characters and where is the setting or location? Are there any repetitive words or phrases? What have you observed? Are there any warnings or commands? How can you apply God’s Word in your daily life?
Take notes by writing or experimenting with drawings, painting, and hand lettering. Then pray and thank God. Seek His guidance on how to apply His teachings to your life.
Bible journaling helps you to memorise scripture easily and makes reading scripture easier to process. It is a way to use your creativeness or artistic talent intentionally to grow in Christ and use it as a helpful Bible study tool. It is also a record of God’s faithfulness in your life that you can always look back on for encouragement.
Your journal doesn’t have to be artsy or aesthetically pleasing. What matters most is your faith journey as you discover Jesus Christ in every book of the Bible.
If you think Bible journaling is for you, I guarantee that it will be a rewarding journey for you. As you immerse yourself in scripture, bond with God and become more deeply rooted in Him, you will see a spiritual transformation in your life from dedicating time with Him.
“What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” - Philippians 4:9

The day Kathryn Inman saw the haunted look in her son's eyes, her world shattered. His descent into addiction was swift and devastating, turning their lives into a relentless battle. Despite the heartache and endless struggles, Kathryn never gave up hope. This is her story of unwavering love and the fight for her son's recovery.
As I sit in our clean, quiet house, I have peace. The perfect peace that comes from my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Peace is always with me; it’s who I am now. But the clean, quiet house? That’s going to be gone soon because in just a little while my sons, their lovely wives, and all five of our precious grandchildren will arrive. My husband and I are excited for this visit and have spent all day preparing for our time together—the sheets are washed, beds are made, floors are mopped, the refrigerator is stocked, books and toys are stacked neatly on the shelves, and everything is ready.
I can already feel the emotions bubbling up in my chest as I anticipate their arrival and my mind drifts, thinking about our family and how far we’ve come. I thank Jesus for the millionth time for all He has done for us. It’s hard to believe that just eight short years ago life was a total nightmare.
Before I knew Christ I thought I had everything figured out. I didn’t need anyone—I was strong and in control, or so I thought. But when addiction snuck into our home and gripped my youngest son, my entire world shattered. I soon discovered that I wasn’t strong at all. I was weak and broken and our lives were completely out of control. I felt like I had come to the end of myself when, like a light shining in the darkest of nights, Jesus showed up and rescued me, He rescued my son, and then everything changed.
Christ breathed life and hope back into my lungs and I felt relief, as if all the tough times were finally behind us.
But I was wrong. More suffering came. Lots of it.
But that hopeless feeling I had before Jesus? It’s gone forever because when you’ve given your life to Christ even in suffering there is peace, there is love, there is always hope.
Galatians
2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Recently, a friend asked how I managed to come back from that horrible seven-year battle with my son’s addiction. I looked at her thoughtfully—it was a good question. I found myself fighting back tears as I told her it was only by the grace of our mighty God that I survived.
We all know that living for Christ does not save you from suffering, but here’s where hope comes—Jesus will carry you through the pain and deliver you on the other side stronger because of it.
When sorrow threatens to take you under, call out to Christ. Trust and know that He is with you.
Tired of the loud chaos in the world? Seek the Lord. Trust and know that His perfect peace will drown out the noise.
When your heart is shattered, fall into the arms of Jesus. Trust and know that He will lovingly put all the pieces back together.
When evil comes lurking, and it will, put on the whole armor of the Lord. Trust and know that He will protect you.
In the midst of confusion and doubt, read your Bible. Trust and know that it is the only source of truth you can stand on.
When you’ve done all you can do and it’s still not enough, trust and know that Jesus will make a way. He always does.
The sound of a car pulling into the driveway stirs me back into the present. Wiping my eyes, I take a deep breath, and peek through the blinds. One by one, the kids come piling out of the car with huge smiles on their faces and my heart swells with love. Just eight years ago I was hopeless and crushed by the sin of this fallen world, and
then Christ changed everything. He saved me and then blessed our family with five perfect little grandchildren that fill our lives with joy, laughter, and the sweetest love I’ve ever known. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine what the Lord had in store for my now healthy, thriving family. I am so grateful.
Dear one, no matter what you’re going through, hang on. Don’t you let go because Jesus has plans for your life that are far greater than you can imagine. Trust and know that His love will triumph over anything you face and just when you think there is no way, He will make one. He always does. Believe it!

The story of Esther offers a unique opportunity to share a contemporary message that also affects the lives of an entire generation, but now this generation.
In Esther’s time, a law had been passed to entirely exterminate the people of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Unknown to the king and his prime minister, the queen would also be included with these people. In her conviction to come uninvited before the king to make a request at such a time even at the risk of her life, changed the course of history. God intervened on behalf of His people, the people who put their trust in Him, and He delivered them in a marvellous way. This story of Esther needs to be told and retold because it has application again and again in the stories of our lives.
The enemy comes not but to steal, to kill, and to destroy, but God says that He comes to give life, and to give life more abundantly. John 10:10. This enemy works in every realm and without question in the health care arena.
At this time in history, health care is in a crisis. For too long we have experienced the practice of medicine, which means, to guess (educated at best) how to help someone with a disease. And the result of this guessing has been the reality of managed care. Managed care really means that disease, not health, will be managed, because this system of support cannot deliver recovery from disease. Consequently, we have an epidemic of chronic degenerative disease with dire statistics.
For the past several decades, heart disease was the number one cause of death in America. It has been known that every other man over 45 years of age will die of a heart attack. Now that is also true for women. Twenty-five years ago death from a heart attack (more than 500,000 people per year) was two times more common than death from cancer (about 250,000 people per year). In 2005, death from cancer exceeded death from heart disease. The third leading cause of death was declared to be from the unexpected side-effect of death from proper medical care, with primary emphasis on properly prescribed medications!
Not much has changed in 2021 regarding the mortality rates we saw in previous years, adjacent to the obvious impact of Covid-19. Good health is so important, now is the time for Esther to stand up and risk even life itself to defend justice and plead a new direction.
Care for those with cancer makes me the angriest. Who thinks that someone will get better following the standards of care that only cause harm? Logic would not go there and neither do the statistics. The numbers are all based upon survival in the next 5 years. Forget the idea of a cure with this standard of care.
Where do we begin? First, let’s begin with Hippocrates. First, do no harm. Begin by properly supporting normal design and healing will follow!
Healing? Yes, healing! In fact, it is promised. Abandon the evolutionary confusion. We must now pursue the science of wellness. The science of wellness has the dominant objective to restore normal by understanding and providing the proper support of the anatomy and physiology, the structure and function, of the parts and how they work. This understanding must occur at the cellular level. And in this discovery, we find a Creator who really cares. He says, I can forgive all your iniquities, I can heal all your diseases, I can redeem your life from destruction, and I will satisfy you with good things. Psalms 103. The word all is a very important word!
And to you, as well as to Israel of old, the promise is given to those that believe, in paraphrase, “If you cooperate, I will heal you.” Exodus 15:26.
This cooperation involves individual responsibility for the care of your body through a healthy lifestyle, and the addition of what is needed by proper supplementation and the removal of what is not needed by detoxification. These are simple and powerful principles that optimize cellular health, and healthy cells are the only true basis for healing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START HOMESCHOOLING
Homeschooling has gained traction in recent years, offering a personalized and flexible educational experience for children. For many seasoned homeschoolers, it provides a tailored educational journey, whether it's year-round schooling or incorporating travel and life experiences into learning. Homeschooling offers a safe and controlled environment, free from bullying and other negative influences, where children develop independence, time management skills, and become more self-directed learners. But what if you are new to homeschooling? Here’s our tips to help you prepare and make an informed decision. Before committing fully, consider trying a short trial period during a school break or summer. This can give you a sense of the daily realities of homeschooling without a long-term commitment. Ensure that all family members are on board and supportive of the homeschooling plan. Consulting educational professionals or a homeschool consultant can help evaluate your preparedness and plan effectively.
Homeschooling is a job. It demands preparation, dedicated teaching time, planning, and patience. It's essential to be open to continuous learning and professional development to enhance your homeschooling capabilities. Financial implications are also a crucial consideration. Create a detailed budget to understand the impact on household income and expenses, factoring in curriculum materials, educational resources, extracurricular activities, and field trips.
Building a strong support network of family, friends, and other homeschooling parents is vital. This support system can provide valuable advice and help you navigate the emotional highs and lows that come with homeschooling. Homeschooling can be deeply rewarding but also challenging at times.
When transitioning from public school to homeschooling, allow a period of adjustment where your child can decompress from the traditional school environment. Start with a light schedule and gradually increase the academic workload to avoid overwhelming your child. Involve your child in planning their learning activities to increase their engagement and enthusiasm. Encourage your child to stay in touch with friends from their previous school to ease social transitions
and emphasize subjects and activities they enjoy to build confidence and foster a love for learning.
To get started with homeschooling, begin by researching home schooling laws in your area and various educational philosophies. Connect with local and online homeschooling communities for guidance and support. Select a curriculum that suits your educational philosophy and your child's learning style. Create a dedicated space in your home for learning, equipped with necessary supplies and resources. Develop a flexible yet structured schedule that includes academics, physical activity, and social time. Enrol your child in extracurricular activities to provide additional socialization and enrichment opportunities.
With the mounting interest in homeschooling, several organizations offer support and resources. The National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI) provides research and statistics on homeschooling. Many curriculum providers offer support services, forums, and user groups. The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) provides legal assistance and resources for homeschooling families. Local homeschool groups can be found through social media, local libraries, and community centers, providing support and socialization opportunities. Platforms like Facebook and Reddit have numerous homeschooling groups where parents can share resources and advice.
If you are outside the US, contact the Ministry of Education or equivalent department for official information. In the UK, parents have the right to educate their children at home, known as "home education" or "elective home education". Contact your local council for specific guidance and information on rules and regulations.
Homeschooling offers a unique opportunity to tailor education to your child's needs and interests. By carefully considering these factors and preparing thoroughly, you can create a successful and enriching homeschooling environment that meets your family’s educational goals. Whether you are a seasoned homeschooler or new to the concept, the journey can be both challenging and rewarding, providing a customized and flexible learning experience for your children.
We e know a great deal about the most innovative, effective, and ergonomic skincare products that come from the east. Several Asian countries such as Korea, China, and Japan are approximately 10 years ahead with several scientific discoveries and have pioneered some of the biggest products in the beauty industry, introducing faces masks, BB/CC/DD creams, and oil cleansers to the rest of the world. And once again, Asia has beaten the beauty punch with their latest invention: the world of fermented skincare products.
Fermentation is a process where saltwater is soaked by foods, which allows them to grow good bacteria. During the process of fermentation, natural bacteria start generating lactic acid by consuming sugar. Fermentation preserves existing vitamins and creates new ones, as well as probiotics, beneficial enzymes, and Omega-3 fatty acids. It makes healthy food even more nutrient-dense. When applied to skincare, a very
similar process starts. Fermented skincare is processed over several weeks in an oxygen-free environment. As a result, fermented products are the most natural way to restore good bacteria and reduce inflammation. And magic happens during the process: harmful bacteria are removed and useful ingredients are micronized.
As a result, fermentation gives a boost to skincare products, making them more efficient than non-fermented analogs. Moreover, dry and sensitive skin loves fermented products much more than the usual ones, because smaller molecules hydrate, repair, and soothe irritated skin. It also kills bad microorganisms, which means that there is a product with minimal preservatives that helps to improve dryness, tone, texture, and fine lines. So, what ingredients usually appear on different skincare labels?
Chrysanthemum, aloe, and dandelion are widely used in different fermented skincare products: they have antioxidant properties and are instant skin soothers. Grains and proteins (that consist, for example, in a fermented soy food called Natto) help to even the skin tone, hydrate, and
nourish the skin. They can be used in different creams, serums, and other leave-in products.
However, don’t try to grab sauerkraut and put it on your face: there are many differences between fermented food and skincare products. Our skin doesn’t have the micro-organisms that the stomach has, so all the ingredients need to be stabilized first. Not to mention the fact that fermented skincare products have a really nice smell.
Another important ingredient is seaweeds that have a notable amount of mineral elements, making them a natural mineral supplement. It has such macronutrients as calcium, sodium, potassium, chlorine, magnesium and many others. The fermentation process releases them which makes minerals easily absorbed. Fermented foods contain so many useful minerals; it’s no surprise that beauty companies use them for their beauty products.
Dr. Genesky, head of research and innovation of Kiehl, states that yeast should be in many skincare products due to the concentration of nutrients. Among its benefits there are cell renewal properties, skin becomes smooth and glowing. Yeast is a known source of beta-gluten, which makes it a perfect antioxidant. As a result, it fights with the vast majority of problems: slack skin, wrinkles, and age spots.
Such ingredients as red clover flower and bamboo sap extract are also included in the fermented skincare products. They’re fermented for a couple of years under specific temperatures and suitable conditions to produce ingredients that brighten the skin. They also give an antiaging effect and improve skin tone.

The company that launched the trend and made the first fermented skincare products was Japan’s SK- II and has been the forerunner for many years in this technology. Su:m37 is the first Korean cosmetic brand that makes naturally fermented skincare products. Fermentation attracts attention to its powerful ability to destroy toxic substances and deeply penetrate the skin.
Estee Lauder now has the Micro Essence lotion that penetrates deeply into the skin and brings it a natural glow. Unsurprisingly, the product has a “Micro-Nutrient Bio-Ferment” ingredient. British brand OSKIA has many fermented minerals such as magnesium, copper, and zinc in their new Renaissance Hand & Body Cream.
Fermented products have been added to many major cosmetic brands, as the hype over them widens, and more people become aware of multiple benefits. For skincare products, fermentation technology helps generate eco-friendly, organically certified, sustainable ingredients. Aside from that, fermented products include bioconversion of bio-actives for anti-aging, high bioavailability actives, moisturizing, UV-blocking, and anti-inflammatory effects.
