WKU Volleyball earns 7 seed in NCAA tournament

WKU Volleyball earned a seven seed in the NCAA tournament and is set to take on the Marquette Golden Eagles Friday in the first round.
The Hilltoppers will travel to the University of Louisville, the tournament hosts, for the opening weekend of the tournament.
WKU earned its 18th NCAA tournament appearance on Sunday. The Hilltoppers were the Automatic Qualifier out of Conference USA, defeating the FIU Panthers in a fiveset thriller for the championship.
Bowling Green to host annual Light Up BGKY event to spread holiday spirit

Bowling Green prepares for a spectacle as the time for the Light Up BGKY tradition nears.
Light Up BGKY is an annual event throughout the week of December 1-7. The week will kick off with the lighting of holiday lights at the Historic RailPark and Train Museum.
The Med Center Health will have lights or poinsettias for purchase on Dec. 2 in order to honor a loved one who has passed. The money from this event will go towards funding the Med Center.

WKU Football had an opportunity to not only make the Conference USA Championship Game, but also host it. Instead, they will not play again this year until their bowl game
Jacksonville State once again played spoiler. After defeating WKU in the conference championship game last year, they prevented them from getting in entirely. The Hilltoppers are 13 in their last four meetings against the Gamecocks and have only beaten the Gamecocks once in their five meetings in Jacksonville.
