‘I can’t believe it’: Rayna

When Rayna Taylor chose to run for homecoming queen representing the National Panhellenic Council (NPHC), she decided to temper her expectations and just appreciate the moment.
“There’s 39 of us, one of us is going to win, it’s going to be great,” Taylor said.
Taylor also said she was thankful to the people who voted her as a finalist, being flattered that so many people would think to choose her out of a field of “incredible women.”

WKU Football brought in multiple transfers after the 2024-25 season to make an impact on a depleted defense following the departure of players such as cornerback Upton Stout.
Players like Al-Ma’hi Ali and Jaavan Mack transferred in and have impacted a defense that struggled throughout the 20242025 season.
One such player is senior linebacker Jaylen Wester. The Palmetto native began his collegiate career at Florida Atlantic University, playing two years for the Owls, recording 116 total tackles, 66 solo tackles, three pass deflections, two sacks and one interception.

The WKU Women’s Basketball team didn’t horse around in its season opener win against Kentucky State University Thorobreds.
To say that the Lady Toppers beat KSU would do injustice to the 81-33 victory. The offensive overperformance was unexpected after they limped across the finish line in their exhibition game against Lindsey Wilson.
