Community orchestrates ‘Corvette Birthday Cruise’ for car-loving kid

Sunlight shone on a parade of over 10 vibrantly colored Corvettes cruising down Three Springs Road Wednesday afternoon as drivers honked and yelled while passing the house of a little girl who loves Corvettes.
Jaw dropped, 9-year-old Skylar Black was standing ecstatic outside her house. Skylar watched in awe as Corvette owners revved their engines and yelled birthday wishes. Some even stopped to hand off a gift.

WKU Global held its fall Global Learning Fair Wednesday to promote Study Abroad programs for students.
The International Center hosted the event, which featured faculty and student program ambassadors, as well as representatives from several educational travel agencies.

To some, Sept. 17 was just another Wednesday. But to many civically minded Americans, it was Constitution Day.
Constitution Day is a federal observance commemorating both the day that the Constitution was signed and all citizens in the U.S. To celebrate Constitution Day, PCAL’s Political Science department invited Professor Ronald Keith Gaddie to lead a lecture in Gary Randsell Hall Auditorium.
Healthy Days event showcases health resources for Hilltoppers

The Preston Health and Activities Center hosted a casinothemed event Wednesday to showcase Bowling Green’s many health organizations.
The 23rd annual Healthy Days, held by WKU’s student wellness program, WellU, filled the Preston Center from 1 to 5 p.m. The fair held organizations both on and off campus that help students live healthfully in their journey through college, with a special guest appearance from Big Red.
