WKU budget stabilizes, revenue increases

WKU’s total revenue surpassed its total expenditures for the first time since Fiscal Year 2022 in FY 2025, WKU Executive Vice President for Strategy, Operations and Finance Susan Howarth said at Friday’s Board of Regents meeting.
WKU’s total revenue for FY 2025 totaled more than $360 million, which was $29,028 more than the university’s total expenses, and follows two years of overspending.
WKU spent more than $11 million than it earned in 2023 and nearly $4 million more than it earned in 2024.
HOLAS hosts Thanksgiving gathering

The Hilltopper Organization of Latin American Students hosted a Thanksgiving celebration, uniting students for an evening filled with community spirit.
On Monday, 6 p.m., in the Downing Student Union, HOLAS held a Thanksgiving dinner open to the public. HOLAS has hosted Thanksgiving dinners and events since
2012 to celebrate the holiday, have fun, and uplift one another.
“It’s about contributing and enjoying food and feeling like you have friends and feeling that you can sit around a table and just talk about life, talk about school,” Fabian Alvarez, the faculty advisor, said.
WKU Men’s Basketball prepares to host Bethel

WKU men’s basketball continues its two-game home stand against the Bethel Wildcats on Tuesday.
The Hilltoppers come off a win against Tennessee State on Sunday, 95-82. Redshirt sophomore guard Teagan Moore led the way with 20 points. Freshman guard Armelo Boone continued to contribute, finishing with 11 points.

Meet on Saturday, Nov 15, 2025
The National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park held the annual Import Alliance Meet, showcasing imported motor vehicles in a display of blood-pumping drifting, drag races and car shows, Nov. 15.
At the Import Alliance event, attendees had the opportunity to watch both imported and domestic vehicles take to the track for races, drifting, or even hop in the car with the racers for a spin around the track. Off the track, attendees could find food, vendors and an exhibition gallery featuring a wide range of vehicles with unique accessories, customs builds, wraps, and more.
The Import Alliance is a grassroots style, social gathering, learning, teaching and marketing opportunity motorsports event, according to its website. The organization travels across the nation to host car shows, races, drifting and a wide range of events for local communities.
Girlhood takes the stage at Knicley Conference Center

Bowling Green's annual Girls Day Out returned to the Knicley Conference Center on Saturday, Nov. 15, drawing crowds for a day of shopping and community.
Tina Corner, coordinator of Girls Day Out, said the event aimed to spotlight local vendors and foster community engagement.
“I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did, mainly just to have a good time and enjoy themselves with their friends,” Corner said.
