People voiced their opinions on the steps of Cherry Hall following WKU’s unveiling of plans to renovate the historic building Renderings released Thursday outlined drastic changes to the building’s interior, drawing mixed reactions from the campus community.

SOKY Indivisible holds antiTrump May Day protest

Chants filled Circus Square Park on Saturday morning as local advocacy groups, including SOKY Indivisible, protested President Donald Trump’s actions since entering office.

May Day, celebrated on the first day of the month, is an annual holiday that recognizes the working class A SOKY

Indivisible Facebook post asked people to gather and let their voices be heard on issues such as immigration, deportations, due process, veteran services and taxation.

PCAL to host a celebration of life in memory of Heather Strode

The Potter College of Arts & Letters (PCAL) will host a celebration of life for late communication professor Heather Strode on May 6, beginning at 5:30 p.m., in the Honors College and International Center, Room 2011 Strode passed away on Dec 31, 2024, and was a communication professor at WKU for 22 years. Strode worked as a leadership and volunteerism coordinator with the Department of Student Activities at WKU before her work as a professor

WKU Softball swept its final Conference USA series against Jacksonville State University, May 2 and 4

The final game of the series was canceled due to inclement weather, shortening the threegame series to two.

The Hilltoppers are now 29-191 and 14-10-1 in conference heading into the postseason, securing the No 2 spot in the

14-7 in CUSA, moving them up to third. WKU holds an overall 38-10 record and the best home record in the country, 29-1, at Nick Denes Field

Faye joins McHenry at Utah

Senior forward Babacar Faye committed to the University of Utah Saturday, via Matt Zenitz on X, rejoining fellow former Hilltopper, Don McHenry, who committed to the Utes just five days earlier.

Before suffering a season-ending injury against Murray State on Dec 14, Faye led the team in rebounds, averaging 7 8 per game, while also providing offensive production in the paint, averaging 15.2 points per game.
