Investigative journalist Josie Duffy Rice to join Gaines Lecture Series

The WKU School of Media & Communication will host “Telling the Untold Story: Investigating the US Criminal Justice System,” a lecture with journalist Josie Duffy Rice
The event, as part of the John B Gaines Family Lecture Series, will be Thursday at 6:30 p m in the Jody Richards Hall Auditorium Duffy will speak on corruption, injustices and challenges in prosecutorial and prison systems, while also discussing the power of journalism and its impact in bringing about reform in the Criminal Justice System, according to an event flyer

WKU Women’s Golf entered Wednesday, the final day of the Conference USA Women’s Golf Championships, six shots behind the leader, Jacksonville State
The Lady Toppers then shot a team score of 288 – the best team score of the day by 10 strokes – and jumped the Gamecocks to earn their first CUSA championship in program history
“What an incredible day for our program! I was so impressed with how each of the girls stayed focused on every shot and came out on top for our first-ever conference title,” Head Coach Adam Gary said in a press release from WKU Athletics

WKU Softball welcomes NMSU for 3-game series
WKU Softball will return home to host New Mexico State University in a Conference USA series April 17-19
The Hilltoppers are coming off an eight-game road trip that included two midweek games and two CUSA series WKU secured an 8-3 victory at Lipscomb on April 1 and won two of three games at Kennesaw State on April 4 and 5
