FFA Discovery Conference – January 26th & 27th The Discovery Conference is a wonderful opportunity for students in grades 6-8. It is a great way to get young members excited about the FFA and is designed to introduce middle school students to the opportunities that FFA has to offer. The Discovery Conference will be held Friday & Saturday, January 26-27, 2018 at the Georgia FFA/FCCLA Center near Covington. Students should plan to wear casual (warm) dress for the entire conference. In addition to the Discovery Conference, we will be visiting The University of Georgia on the way to the camp on Friday, January 27th. Once we are done at UGA, we will stop for lunch, and then move on to the Discovery Conference in Covington. ***We will leave from WJMS at 8:00AM on Friday, travel to UGA, stop for lunch, and then travel on to the conference. The conference will conclude around 12:00PM on Saturday, and we will return to Jackson County High School Ag Barn around 2:00PM.
The cost to attend the Discovery Conference is $60 per person. That fee includes conference t-shirt and material, meals, lodging, and activities at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center and must be paid in full before the conference. Turn in a deposit of $30 (non-refundable) with attached form by Tuesday, December 19th.
Only the first 20 FFA Members to sign up with permission forms and $30 will be able to attend!
