This project is an example of my ability to design from a vague concept to a business brand. During my initial talk with the owner, we created a couple of stick-figure sketches of a poor girl on a wooden tree swing. Afterwards, I explored carefully online for tree, wood swing, and orphan girl sketches. Again, I searched prudently, because these words will yield many inappropriate images. What I found was portions of the concept, and along with my own rough sketches, I was able to blend these images together in PhotoShop. The result is a retro style graphic, which delighted the owner. I used the image to print Poor Girl Natural’s product stickers, business cards, and postcards. At the time, I lacked the Illustrator skills to convert from image to vector, however, page 13 demonstrates I can do this easily today.
