These signs were a complex project; gathering images, translating to Spanish, sizing-to-fit displays; and ensuring the logo, text, and colors adhered to Goodwill’s branding. For almost six years, I worked with Retail Operations and Central Supplies to distribute hundreds of similar projects to 12 stores and 20 offices regionally.
I was responsible for printing all of Goodwill’s business forms, stationary, handbooks, AND an average of 150,000 price tags per month. Tag production was not a simple process. Initially I learned to print, cut, and toss little white paper tags into a bag, it took 4 to 6 hours a day. When Goodwill upgraded to color paper and bar codes, I spent 1 to 2 days producing tags. After upgrading the shop’s equipment, I refined the process until it took an 1-2 hours to neatly stack, cut, bag, seal, and box all 150,000 price tags.
I also worked with Marketing & Public Relations on promotions and internal communication; see my Goodwill Marketing project for more info.
