Inspiring to Aspire Rivers Primary Academy
Welcome to Rivers Primary Academy
We are delighted that you are considering Rivers Primary Academy for your child, a school at the heart of its community yet a portal to the world.
Every day at Rivers we inspire to aspire to ensure that all children meet both their academic and personal potential. Through strong relationships, we value every child as an individual and ensure that every child has the best possible learning journey to enable them to thrive.
We develop independent learners who are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to progress to secondary school and flourish in an ever-changing world. We work in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community to achieve the very best for our children.
Facilities
The new Rivers Primary Academy building was built in 2020 and provides an exceptional learning environment for our children. To enable our teachers to deliver a world class curriculum all classrooms are provided with technology to provide interactive learning opportunities. This is further enhanced across years 4, 5 and 6 with all children provided with iPads to power up their learning at both school and at home. Every subject matters and we are fortunate to have a science laboratory and studio where art and music lessons take place whilst our extensive grounds enable children’s learning to take place outside of the classroom too.

Unlocking Academic and Personal Potential
Curriculum
Our collaborative and purposeful curriculum ensures that all children are inspired to aspire, providing them with opportunities to excel both academically and personally. Our curriculum also provides our children with a myriad of experiences and is brought to life through expert visitors, trips, learning to play an instrument and representing our school in sport. Through our trust’s innovative iPads for Learning initiative children’s learning across key stage 2 is enriched through the use of digital technology ensuring that all children are equipped with skills for life and maximising their academic progress. These opportunities are further enhanced through Windsor Academy Trust’s pledge.

Teaching and Learning
All lessons meet the needs of our individual children through adaptive teaching. We ensure that children know more and remember more through our curriculum so that our children become confident independent learners with a thirst and spark to learn. Our lessons are fun and challenging, supporting our children to succeed in all environments and become creative, self reflective learners building on their prior knowledge.

What do our children and parents say...?
Our teachers are kind and explain things really clearly. Rivers is a happy place.
Everything is fun in our learning.

We come out of school smiling everyday, Being a student leader helps me learn more about myself and how to help others and be a role model.
The teachers and all staff strive to ensure the children work towards achieving their highest potential.
Great school, lovely and very polite staff members who are always there if you have any concerns or need help.
My son absolutely loves his school.
Helping children achieve their potential
At Rivers Primary Academy we support all children to meet their personal and academic potential. Through our Aspire Framework we develop children’s character virtues and learner skills teaching them that they are the master of their destiny. We actively promote and open up the world to our children through trips, visitors and our extensive after school club programme allows for children to experience activities beyond that of the school curriculum and discover their own talents.

Lunches Working in Partnership
We actively encourage parents/carers to be involved in their child’s education. Through termly workshops, parent consultation evenings, assemblies and performances we love to welcome you into our school to share and celebrate your child’s successes and achievements.
All lunches are prepared fresh on site and we cater for all dietary needs. Our catering team plans balanced and nutritious menus to ensure all children are ready and focussed for an afternoon of learning. We provide all children with toast during their morning break time and fresh fruit is available for our key stage 1 children. Children are also able to bring in a healthy packed lunch.
