With four campuses and deep roots in our communities, we’re proud to keep inspiring futures every day.
OUR QUALIFICATIONS
Vocational Courses
We offer a wide range of vocational courses across our campuses, all taught in high-spec industrystandard facilities. Courses range from Entry Level to Level 3, so whatever your area of interest or level of study, we have a course for you.
All of our courses will equip you with the right skills to step into your chosen career or move on to Higher Education, with a Level 3 qualification.
Our courses are mapped to the regions economic priorities, ensuring you are trained for a real career within an industry that you will be able to progress into once you complete your course.
Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain a recognised qualification whilst getting paid. At WCUC, we work with around 700 employers and deliver more than 70 different apprenticeships across a wide range of sectors and skill levels.
As an apprentice, you will receive a wage and will need to work at least 30 hours per week, including study at WCUC. Apprentices working under 30 hours per week are considered part time, and this may mean that their apprenticeship is extended. Whatever weekly hours are agreed, 20% of them must still be spent in off-the-job training. You will learn alongside experienced industry professionals and build real industry-ready skills of your own.
T Levels
T Levels are the newest post-16 qualification and will help take your career to the next level.
T Levels are knowledge-rich and develop the technical skills that employers need. They offer a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience through an industry placement.
T Level qualifications are the equivalent of three A-Levels and offer invaluable and meaningful work experience, with students spending 20% of their time in the workplace.
After successfully completing your course, you can go straight into employment, move onto university or start an apprenticeship.
We offer T Levels in the following areas:
• Accounting
• Agriculture
• Animal Care
• Business
• Digital
• Education & Childcare
• Engineering & Manufacturing
• Health
• Land Based Engineering
Find out more about an apprenticeship by contacting our dedicated Apprenticeships Team via apprenticeships@wiltshire.ac.uk .
Work Experience
Work experience and industry placements are an integral part of your study programme. They are an exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge, as well as increase your industry and technical abilities to enhance your employability.
WCUC has positive relationships with an extensive network of local and national employers, who support our students in offering meaningful work placement opportunities.
You will have a dedicated Placement Officer based in the Careers Hub, who will support you throughout the placement process.
Industry Placements are a key part of all T Level programmes and make up 20% of your two-year study programme.
Work experience is usually between 30 and 60 hours to be completed between September and June. You may choose to complete these hours with your work experience employer on a day release basis, or in a block week during the holidays.

Learning about the tractors, and the hands-on experience you get here isn’t something you would be taught in school. I’d like to do more milking and get more experience, so my goal after this is to get an agriculture apprenticeship .”
