Toensurewecancontinuetodeliveraneffectiveservicetoour pensioners,wehavebeensteadilyworkingtowardsourown in-housepayrollsystem.Wearedelightedtosaythishas begunandsuccessfullystartedmakingpaymentsforanyone takingtheirpensionsfromJanuary2024onwards.
WHYAREWEDOINGTHIS?
Historically,weoutsourcedthepayrollfunctiontoWiltshire Council'spayrollteam,whichutilisedrPoweredforpayslips.By managingpensionpaymentsinternally,wecanreducetherisk ofanypotentialdiscrepanciesbetweensystems.
Thismovewillalsohelpusinprovidingmoreconsistent communicationsandmakeiteasierforyoutocontactus,by bringingitalltogetherinoneplace.
WHATHAPPENSNEXT?
Overthenextfewmonthswe willbeworkingcloselywiththe WiltshireCouncilPayrollTeam tomoveallofourpensioners toournewpayrollsystem.We areaimingtocompletethisin timefortheSeptember2024 payment.
Thismeansthatthere willbeaperiodwithtwo payrollsystemsrunning alongsideeachother, withdifferentsecure portalsdependingon whenyourpensionwas putintopayment.
