WELCOME BACK!

I would like to welcome all children, staff and parents back to school for the Autumn term. I would especially like to welcome all of year 3 and children who are new, along with their families, to our school. Also, welcome to Miss Dixon who has joined us in year 3, Mr Hudson and Mrs Cassidy who will be supporting the wellbeing of our pupils. We have had an amazing start to the year so far and I’m excited for all that we have planned. The children have settled so well into their new classes and their new routines - we have all been extremely proud of them. If you haven’t yet visited our website please do as some of the wonderful learning outcomes have already been shared and it’s a wonderful way to keep informed as to what your child is doing in school. We are so pleased that we have been able to open school up again however we must all still remain vigilant. The virus is still at large so we must all continue to work together to help continue to keep each other safe. Thank you for everyone’s support so far in following the additional measures we have had to put it place. We understand that some will cause some difficulties however we hope it will only be for the short term. We will continue to follow the official guidance and will keep you updated with any changes. Mrs Adams, Head of School

Moon art

Y5 have been using white pastels and paint to create images of the moon. They created a 3D effect and looked carefully at the texture of the moon and its craters.

Active maths

Y6M started their Maths learning by playing a Place Value Game. They created a place value chart with hoops and had to represent the number shown using bean bags. There was amazing team work, as well as mathematical thinking. Well done!

P4C

This week all children in school have participated in a Philosophy 4 Children session based around the story, The Huge Bag of Worries. The children created a question together and then discussed as a class. You can visit our website to see some of the outcomes from their discussions.
