Remembrance
The whole school took part in a wonderful Remembrance ceremony last Thursday. Well done everyone on all of your hard work which made it so much more of an emotional experience. If you have not yet seen it take a look on Dojo or our school website. Friendship Week Our Friendship week started off with an odd sock day where we celebrated uniqueness and differences. Everyone was also set the challenge of giving out as many friendship tokens as they could throughout the week to help brighten someone’s day and to focus on this year’s theme of One Kind Word.
Diary dates
Christianity Year 5 have been thinking deeply about different religions and their sacred texts. Today we studied “The Lord’s Prayer” and reflected on the language and meaning of the prayer. Thoughtful responses Y5- great work! Sports Leaders Our Year 6 Sports leaders developed their leadership skills this afternoon as they continue to prepare for some exciting break time and lunchtime activities coming soon. Great effort and creativity on show from everyone.

Author Visit We were privileged to have Matt Beighton, a children’s author, come to visit school to share his knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise on reading and writing. It was amazing to learn how he became an author and how to generate ideas for writing. He ended the day with a book sale and signing. We can’t wait to get reading more of his books! Algorithm Y3 have started learning about algorithms. We each thought of a crazy character and wrote an algorithm for our friend to follow. They realised that their algorithms needed to be very precise to produce the crazy character..
