to our 2019 Holiday Brochure We try to offer as wide a range of destinations as possible – from overnight breaks to long duration continental holidays.

For our hotel choices, we try to be as clear as possible, offering a wide range to suit every pocket. The enjoyment of your holiday is our driving motivation – we aim to match your expectations with reality and for you to want to return to us time and time again. Value for money is obviously important but we do strongly believe that you get what you pay for.

We are constantly investing in our fleet of coaches – this year we have already added a brand-new Mercedes Special Edition.

Today’s coaches are extremely sophisticated and offer very high levels of comfort with toilet facilities and modern safety features.

Our coaches are specified to provide generous legroom making for a comfortable journey. Air conditioning is fitted throughout and all vehicles also have toilet facilities, comfortable reclining seats, armrests, tinted glass and seat belts.

Home collection service

Holiday pick up points

Throughout the brochure you will notice that our Home Collection Service is indicated on some of the tours. On these holidays you will be collected and returned to your home via a taxi organised by us. On these tours we operate a limited amount of pick up places ensuring that your holiday will start and end efficiently. To qualify for the free Home Collection Service you must live in the area from Poole to Lymington and south of Ferndown.

Where our Home Collection Service is not included we operate a comprehensive selection of local collection points. We only collect from the local area so there will be no waiting at motorway services for other vehicles. The vehicle that collects you will be the only vehicle you will travel on during your holiday.

AUGUST Itinerary:

Day 1: After being collected from your local pick up point (approx 9.30am) we stop on route for lunch before arriving at the hotel midafternoon with time for a stroll.

During our stay at the hotel, dinner is served in the restaurant with 3 courses and choice of menu. Subject to minimum numbers there will also be live entertainment in the evening.

Day 2: Lovely excursion today as we head for the town of Battle. A lovely historic town linked to the famous battle of 1066 and with a high street lined with medieval buildings and a beautiful Abbey in the middle of town. Plenty of time here to explore before we continue. After we visit the delightful town of Rye – a charming destination with historic buildings find somewhere nice for a coffee before we head back.

Day 3: Time for you to relax around the hotel and explore the town. The hotel is ideally located on the level promenade, close to the seafront with the shops only a short stroll away.

Day 4: Today we have a popular excursion to - Borde Hill Gardens.

Borde Hill is a superb garden, set in 200 acres of the Sussex High Weald with magnificent views across the Ouse Valley Viaduct. Described as 'One of the country's truly great gardens' by Country Life magazine there is a wealth of borders, a fine collection of trees, an Italian Garden and much more. Excellent café too.

Entrance included.

Day 5: Sadly, we leave Eastbourne and head home, stopping in the historic town of Chichester for lunch before returning to the local area around 3.00/4.00pm.

Palm Court Hotel This attractive Regency property has an excellent location in Eastbourne. The level seafront promenade is only 50 yards away with the famous bandstand nearby. Town centre shops, cafes and restaurants are only a 10 minute stroll. The staff and management are excellent hosts – making for a lovely break away. There is a separate lounge or you can enjoy a drink or bite to eat in a comfy armchair in the Bar. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. The restaurant serves a classic British menu with 3 course choice of menu in the evening and a hot breakfast. The bedrooms are a good size and offer tea and coffee making facilities, free toiletries, television, radio, hairdryer and ironing facilities. Good quality en suite bathrooms with bath or shower. Situated on the border with Germany, the beautiful French city of Strasbourg nestles on the River Rhine and is a wonderful destination to explore. As the capital of the Alsatian Region, the city has a unique culture and is surrounded by a landscape of deep forests and vineyards, as well as picturesque villages of half-timbered houses with coloured walls and steep roofs.

Our holiday to the area has a relaxed itinerary with overnight stops each way in a quality 4* hotel whilst the central position of the hotel allows for easy access to the historic city centre. There is much to discover - relax and stroll through the cobbled streets and explore the narrow passageways with overhanging balconies and cascades of brightly coloured hanging flowers. Itinerary:

Day 1: After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.00/9.00am we stop on route for comfort stops as required before arriving at the hotel late afternoon.

Day 2: After breakfast we board the coach and are joined by a local guide for a panoramic tour across the city.

This should include most of the major landmarks including the town hall, Salford Quays, MediaCity, Old Trafford Football Stadium, Gorton Monastery, John Rylands Library, The Lowry and much more. Free time in the city centre after. You may choose to make your own way back to the hotel.

Day 3: After breakfast we board the Mersey Ferry boat at nearby Salford Quays around 10.00am for a six-hour cruise to Liverpool. During a unique Copthorne Hotel HHHH We are delighted to be returning to the excellent Copthorne Hotel in the Salford Quays area of Manchester.

Plenty to see in the local area plus easy access to the city centre by tram in around 10 minutes.

Itinerary:

Day 1: After being collected from your home around 6.30am we travel to Kent for our Eurotunnel Crossing.

We shall arrive at the excellent overnight Ibis Hotel (Bed & Breakfast) at approximately 7.30pm.

Day 2: Leaving the hotel after breakfast we travel over the impressive Millau Bridge before entering Spain and arriving at our hotel in Roses around 7.00pm. The 4* Hotel Mediterraneo Park serves an extensive buffet style dinner – we have also included a bottle of water and glass of wine with your evening meal for your stay in Roses.

Days 3-9: Relax and settle into this excellent hotel complex. There is plenty to discover in Roses and the surrounding area with easy walking into town and along the coast.

In the past few years the story of the top secret code breaking facility at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire has been thrust in to the public consciousness with a string of television dramas and a superb film starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

IWM Duxford is home to an impressive collection of over two hundred aircraft as well as tanks, military vehicles and maritime craft. Explore the former RAF fighter station that was used during both the First and Second World Wars.

Itinerary:

Day 1: After being collected from your local pick point around 7.00/7.30am we head up to IWM Duxford in Cambridgeshire with a stop mid morning on route. We arrive at Duxford late morning where you are free to explore this impressive museum. There are a number of exhibitions tracing its history including The 1940’s Operation Room, Historic Duxford - where you can discover how the men and women lived at Duxford, meet the skilled engineers who restore the aircraft plus get up close to some of the most iconic aircraft including the Lancaster, Spitfire, Concorde and Vulcan. Entrance price included. Late afternoon we head to our hotel in Northampton.

Day 2: Fascinating day out as we head to Bletchley Park in Milton Keynes for a visit to the famous WWII code breaking centre. Seeing one of the Enigma Machines, including the rare 'Abwehr G312', is undoubtedly a highlight of a busy day out at Bletchley Park, but there is much more than machines in a visit to this historic site. Check out the tales of spies and strategic deception. There are plenty of different activities and exhibitions, from wartime toys to working computers, a wartime mini cinema to an outstanding Churchill collection. We allow around 6 hours at Bletchley - entrance included. We depart for home around 3.30pm.

The historic fishing Port of Looe on Cornwall’s south coast is amazing - you can ‘feel’ the history of the town centred around the bustling harbour where you can watch the catch being ‘brought-in’ by the fishing boats. It’s a great place to explore - stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with cafes, antique shops and pick up a tasty pasty in one of the bakers to enjoy on the sandy beach.

Itinerary:

Day 1: After being collected from your local pick up point around 9.00am we have a brief comfort stop and a main stop for lunch before arriving at the hotel around 4.00pm.

Holiday Inn Taunton Located on the outskirts of the county town of Taunton this hotel offers good quality accommodation with clean and bright modern public areas and comfortable bedrooms. The welcoming, friendly staff are an asset to the hotel.

As a hotel guest, you receive complimentary membership of the Spirit Leisure club with facilities including an indoor 15 metre swimming pool, sauna, solarium and fully equipped gym. There is a large lounge area, which serves a wide selection of food and beverages – great place to relax.

In the morning there is an extensive hot & cold buffet breakfast to choose from with evening meals served in the restaurant. The 99 bedrooms are well equipped with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms with bath & shower, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, telephone and hair dryer. Passenger lift.

Itinerary:

Day 1: After being collected from your local pick up point (approx 10.30/11.300am) we head for Dorchester for a lunch stop in the centre of town – plenty of cafés to pick from. Arriving at the hotel mid afternoon with a complimentary tea or coffee on arrival. Settle in to the hotel and meet the hotel team before dinner in the restaurant. Afterwards, relax in the bar with a fun Christmas Quiz.

Day 2: After a full English breakfast, we head out with a visit to nearby Wells. Should be a magical atmosphere in this lovely cathedral city. Afterwards we enjoy a scenic drive through the Mendip Hills travelling through the Cheddar Gorge before returning to the hotel.

Dinner in the restaurant with choice of menu followed by Christmas Bingo & a Quiz.

Day 3: Enjoy a lovely Christmas Day breakfast with complimentary mid-morning tea and coffee before a Full Christmas lunch with all the trimmings! Afterwards relax in the lounge with afternoon tea & cake and the Queens Speech. In the evening

Day 4: Today we have a lovely scenic drive along the Quantock Hills towards the sea before returning for free time in the centre of Taunton.

The town has some lovely historic buildings in the centre with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Why not take a stroll along the River Tone? We return to the hotel where there are films being shown in the lounge. For the final evening there is a 3 course dinner followed by a disco!

Day 5: After breakfast we leave Taunton and head home. Stopping at Clark’s Village Shopping centre before arriving back in the local area around 3.00pm.

Staying in the very heart of Cornish life in the historic fishing port of Looe on Cornwall’s amazing south coast. There should be a lovely festive atmosphere around this charismatic town where you can ‘feel’ the history. There’s a bustling harbour where you can watch the catch being ‘brought-in’ by the fishing boats and pleasure boats potter along the river. It’s a great place to explore - stroll through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with cafes, antique shops and pick up a tasty pasty or bag of chips to enjoy on the beach. A wonderful destination for a Christmas away.

Occupying a clifftop position in West Looe this well appointed hotel is a 10 minute walk down in to town. The large dining room, lounge and bar offer stunning views over the bay plus there will be some live entertainment during our stay. Day 4: We head for the historic port of Plymouth which has played such an important part in British history.

Great place to explore with excellent shopping, a lovely historic dockyard area and the famous Hoe clifftop with the iconic Smeaton’s Tower lighthouse. Returning for free time before a final evening dinner followed by entertainment.

Day 5: After breakfast we head home. Stopping for lunch before arriving back in the local area around 4.00/5.00pm.

GENERAL INFORMATION & ADVICE We want you to be as happy as possible from the moment you select your holiday until you return home. Along with the hotels which we use, we try our very best to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. LUGGAGE Due to space & weight restrictions the maximum suitcase size per person is 70 x 50 x 23cm. The maximum luggage weight per person is 20kg. A small separate holdall can also be taken on board.

These restrictions are placed as a matter of safety and we thank you for your assistance.

Porterage is provided at some of the hotels that we use. If not included it is usually available if required. This may incur a small additional charge which will need to be paid by you directly to the hotel.

SEAT ALLOCATION Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis when you book your holiday with us. If you have specific needs we would advise you to book as early as possible. We make every effort to abide by these allocations but on occasion, perhaps when a substitute coach is required, this may not be possible. We shall have no liability regarding any changes made.

SMOKING & ALCOHOL POLICY We operate a no smoking (including e-cigarettes) and no alcohol on board policy. We do have regular comfort stops.

HOTELS We offer a range of hotel accommodation which have different levels of comfort, facilities and quality. When selecting your holiday please ensure that the quality will match your requirements.

This is generally related to the cost of the holiday but if you have any specific requirements please talk to our staff who will be able to help.

Some of our hotels have chosen not to be members of the RAC/AA and as such are not star rated. This is not necessarily an indication of a lower standard of accommodation.

If you have special requirements please notify us as soon as possible. The hotel will be notified before your arrival but please remember that rooms are allocated by the hotels.

Rooms for Single Occupancy are in high demand and very often are sold out.

Some hotels charge a supplement for these rooms, the cost of which is indicated in this brochure.

We try to indicate all the room and hotel facilities for each hotel within the information in this brochure but cannot accept liability for any alterations made by the hotel before our arrival. Sometimes amenities such as swimming pools and lifts may be out of service whilst entertainment may be curtailed, altered or cancelled due to hotel number.

Hot drink making facilities are not normally available in Continental hotel bedrooms but are usually available at the bar/café.

When travelling abroad, you should expect the food to be served in the national custom and therefore different to British cuisine. For some hotels, particularly overnight hotels the restaurant will serve a set menu. If, when you are at the hotel, you require an alternative this is normally available but may incur an additional cost for you.

These days, many hotels are excellent at providing Special Diets. Please let us know as soon as possible so they can make preparations early.

Many meals are taken as a group in the restaurants and usually involve sharing tables with 2 or more other diners in our group.

HOLIDAY ITINERARIES AND SUITABILITY We pride ourselves on the planning of our holidays to provide an exciting and enjoyable holiday experience. Many are planned months in advance and may require adjustment to the itineraries due to changes at destinations or attractions.

Our itineraries are displayed in the brochure and you should carefully consider suitability before booking your holiday. You are, of course, quite welcome not to join any particular excursion during your holiday.

Provided we are informed before departure, we are happy to take manual walking aids and folding wheelchairs up to 15kg in weight. Unfortunately, we are not able to carry any electric wheelchairs or scooters, although these are often available to hire at the destination.

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION If we have to cancel a holiday this is always done well in advance of your departure date and a full refund is given.

Due to the contract obligations and financial commitments we have with hotels if you have to cancel your holiday you will have to pay cancellation charges.

These are based on the following scale depending on how close to departure we receive your cancellation.

More than 42 days – Deposit only 42-28 days – 30% 27-14 days – 45% 13-7 days – 60% Less than 7 days – 100% However, if you do cancel more than 42 days before your departure date we will transfer your deposit less a £10 per person administration fee to another holiday currently available.

We do advise you to take out travel insurance to cover any of your loses.
