an environmentalist. “I get outside any chance I can to walk, hike, bike and watch birds and any other wildlife,” she says. Her love of reading is no secret—even naming her two cats, Barnes and Noble. Christopher describes what she sees as the high degree of volunteerism the community as “very impressive” and is looking forward to serving as a parade judge. The Rev. Edward Mullins, 66, is recently retired from long tenured ministries around the country. He is currently serving as
interim pastor at St. Francis-in-the Valley Episcopal Church in Green Valley where he plans to be for the next year. Afterwards, he and his wife, Diana will be moving to their beach cottage in Corolla, N.C. In addition to preaching, teaching and pastoral care, Mullins is a photographer for his church and has also contributed many of the photos in this issue of the White Elephant Parade Magazine, including those of the judges and the parade emcees. Asked what excites him the most about judging the upcoming parade, Mullins says, “The chance to take some great photos.”
