Established over 80 years ago, Girton Golf Club is a well-equipped, well-organised golf club with excellent facilities and an ideal location in the village of Girton on the edge of Cambridge.

Highly regarded as a friendly club which extends a warm welcome to visitors and their families, Girton offers a friendly and relaxing environment to socialise - no matter how tough the golf may be, it can always a pleasurable experience at Girton GC. Founded in 1936, originally as a nine-hole golf course, the Girton golf course was extended to the eighteen holes that can be enjoyed today when more land was purchased in 1979. While the club’s spacious clubhouse building opened its doors in 1992.

A beautifully manicured course, which is playable all-year-round thanks to superb drainage systems and the hard work of a dedicated green keeping team, the course at Girton is aesthetically pleasing with a profusion of trees and pretty shrubs bordering its fairways. An abundance of wildlife also visits the golf course which can be seen in the sky as well as on the ground including Girton’s famous Black Squirrels.

The par 69 golf course which measures 6,012 yards from the championship tees represents a testing challenge of accuracy and control, tight fairways and some challenging short holes.

Girton’s superbly-presented clubhouse offers the ideal setting for all manner of occasion from drinks with friends to dining with family or those allimportant business meetings.

The clubhouse is also home to the superb, Girton Golf Professional Shop is ran by an attentive and organised team who offer first rate advice, and stock a comprehensive range of clothing, equipment and accessories from some of the game’s leading manufacturers.

The club is also one of the region’s number one venues for a society golf day.
