THE OFFICIAL 2023 WHITE HOUSE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT Each year, the White House Historical Association releases the latest ornament in our series honoring a president’s time in the White House or White House anniversary in sequential order. Whether it’s your first ornament or your 43rd, you’ll love adding some beauty and tradition to your holiday decorations.

The Official 2023 White House Christmas Ornament is a festive holiday wreath adorned with decorations inspired by the handcrafted ornaments displayed in the White House during President Gerald R. Ford's presidency. The wreath includes red ribbons and dozens of dolls, cherubs, doves, stars, flowers, gingerbread men, candles, and pentagon balls, in cheery holiday colors. On the back of the ornament are emblems representing President Ford’s legacy of service, the 1976 Bicentennial, and the family dog, Liberty.

I am pleased to share with you the extraordinary gift collection featured in our 2023 Holiday Catalog. These special selections are inspired by history and reflect the unique mission of the White House Historical Association, the nonpartisan, nonprofit, educational organization founded

by First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in 1961 to protect, preserve, and enhance the public's enjoyment of the historic White House.

For more than sixty years the Association's mission has been fulfilled through the generous support of our devoted customers, many of whom have been collecting the annual Official White House Christmas Ornaments for more than forty years. This year we feature President Gerald R. Ford with a festive holiday wreath colorfully embellished with motifs inspired by his remarkable life and legacy, a story richly told in the booklet that accompanies each ornament.

Whether the 2023 ornament is the first or the forty-third to hang on your tree, I hope it will serve to remind you of the significance of your support in preserving White House history for future generations.

In addition to the traditional ornaments, this catalog is filled with special gifts for everyone on your list. One of my favorites is the book I am pictured with to the left. It is the largest volume of The White House: An Historic Guide that we have ever released, with pictures so large you almost feel as if you are entering the rooms as you turn the pages. As I serve in my tenth year as president of the Association, this deluxe and limited edition represents not only one of my own goals fulfilled but it is also a fitting tribute to Mrs. Kennedy, who famously made her own dream of a White House guidebook a reality. Her vision continues to provide the foundation for our work, as reflected in each fabulous product offered in this collection.
